jojopyun (EG: Mid) 2.5 Kills - OVER
EG’s young rookie has a ton of upside. In their two games last week, he hit the three-kill mark in one game and missed on the other. Evil Geniuses are facing off against Team Dignitas, who have had some success this year and are very prone to fight early. This should give Evil Geniuses opportunities to come mid early and support their young mid laner. DIG does not roll out weird team compositions which should make it easier for jojopyun to play the laning phase, which ended up being the issue in their game two loss to Cloud9.
Fudge (C9: Mid) 3.5 Kills - UNDER
A lot of people are hopping on the LS/Cloud9 hype train after their Week 1 wins against Evil Geniuses and the Golden Guardians. I would emphasize patience in this spot and allow logic to take root here. Fudge has shown he is not a strong mid laner as an individual. He played Ivern and Soraka (neither of them strong laners in the mid lane) and focused on bringing utility to his team. I think the C9 coach (LS) will continue to use Fudge in this manner. Playing these utility champions makes it infinitely more difficult for Fudge to hit such a high kill count and for that, I am fading Fudge here.
Johnsun (FLY: ADC) 3.5 Kills - OVER
FlyQuest will not be a top-tier team at the end of the Spring Split but I like them in this spot. They are facing a young and building Team Solomid who have shown flashes of brilliance as well as head scratching moments in 2022. FlyQuest continues to double down on their “Johnsun is our only win condition” strategy and I am here for it. ADCs are the most influential role thus far in 2022 and if a team is committed to their ADC, it is more likely that player hits high kill numbers.
