Worlds finally begins on Tuesday with plenty of volatile match-ups likely to end up in high kill contests. The major regions are the safest bet, as it's hard to tell where the major gaps will be against the wildcard opponents, especially with an uncertain worlds meta across the map that has yet to be revealed to the audience.

PrizePicks Prop Selections:

Cloud9 v Detonation FocusMe

Zven (C9) - Projected Kills: 3.5 - OVER

Cloud9 is still a solid team despite their MSI hiccups, and the occasional struggle in the regular season. DFM’s strength is in their mid laner Aria, whereas their bottom lane has been back-and-forth internationally, although very strong domestically. Yutapon and Gaeng are a good bottom lane, but unchallenged domestically and have already been dispatched by Cloud9 in the past.

Beyond Gaming v Galatasaray Esports

Liang (BYG) - Projected Kills: 2.5 - OVER

Crazy versus Liang is actually a hard match-up to call, but even domestically, it’s not as though Crazy was an insanely tough domestic laner to beat. Truthfully, though, I expect it will be jungle match-up that favors Liang and will reliably get him over his projection: HuSha favors aggressive, ganking picks like Xin Zhao, and it’s this style against the less renown Mojito that I think can snowball a topside advantage (or even, convert a bot side advantage top side) for Liang.

LNG Esports v Hanwha Life Esports

Chovy (HLE) - Projected Kills: 2.5 - OVER

With time, the world will see Chovy as the GOAT after Faker retires. While HLE isn’t likely to knock down LNG- HLE themselves only barely qualified for worlds by the skin of their teeth, Icon is by far the weakest player on LNG, whereas Chovy is the major force on LNG. 3 kills is a reasonable mark, especially since HLE at this point is known for massive surprises, even bringing T1 to five games at the regional gauntlet.
