LPL/LCK League of Legends Slate June 2nd, 2021

(+550) Rogue Warriors v LGD Gaming (-1000)

(-900) JD Gaming v Ultra Prime (+500)

(+170) NS RedForce v Damwon Gaming (-225)

(+120) Fredit BRION v kt Rolster (-156)

The Spring Split for both the LPL and LCK have been an absolute wild ride thus far. We have new teams at the top of the LPL (EDward Gaming) and the LCK (Gen.G) with some of the top teams in both regions struggling to get off the ground. In the LPL we have heavy favorites up against weaker teams and the LCK has matchups between teams suck next to each other in the standings. A lot is on the line as we continue to wade through the dog days of the Summer Split so let’s dive in!

Game #1 Rogue Warriors v LGD Gaming

Cann’s Pick: LGD Gaming

Game #2: JD Gaming v Ultra Prime

Cann’s Pick: JD Gaming

Game #3: NS RedForce v Damwon Gaming

Cann’s Pick: JD Gaming

Game #4: Fredit BRION v kt Rolster

Cann’s Pick: kt Rolster

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Kramer (LGD: $11,700) Of all the players on this slate, Kramer seems to be in the best position to have a big performance. First, he is already playing out of his mind. Kramer has 89 kills and 88 assists with only 37 deaths in his 18 games played in Summer. He has a 32% team kill share percentage and what is the craziest thing about all of this? He still only is part of 64% of LGD’s kills. What does that mean for daily fantasy? The sky is the absolute limit in terms of production for Kramer.

Value Pick: Dove (KT: $10,800)

Top Lane

Favorite: Zoom (JDG: $7,000) I think you can go kind of cheap on the top lane role this slate. Rich (NS) is the only real carry top laner I am seeing (sometimes Khan but DK doesn’t draft like that) so you should pick the best team fit. For me? That seems like it should be Zoom. JDG have been performing at a really high level and Zoom has been relatively solid in the side lane soaking pressure. He isn’t prone to huge point drops but I wouldn’t pick any of the other teams to big probable winners and LGD do have two top laners in their rotation.

Value Pick: Rich (NS: $5,800)

Jungle

Favorite: Shad0w (LGD: $7,000) Shad0w is on a mission to prove each and every person who called him a one trick or said he was the reason MAD struggled at World’s last season wrong. He has rapidly made his presence known picking up 162 assists in 18 games and has the highest KDA of the LPL junglers on the slate (4.5).The RW jungler (icecoKe) is atrocious compared to Shad0w and I think LGD just has a better lineup in each position. We have seen that lobbies are winning with these control junglers who rack up massive assist amounts and there is no one who is performing better than Shad0w right now.

Value Pick: Peanut (NS: $6,400)

Mid Lane

Favorite: Canyon (DK: $7,400) While I think DK is a complete disaster right now (unfairly comparing them to their World Championship run), the individual outplay possibilities are numerous between Canyon and NS’ mid laner Gori. Canyon is one from the flashy outplay where Gori is forgettable most times until the late game team fight. If you are investing bigger dollar amounts into the role, pick up a player who has the higher ceiling and can pull down a 6 kill game or pick up a 10+ KDA performance. This is more of a risk pick because Canyon does not have the same freedom he had when he played jungle, so keep that in mind when making your lineup.

Value Pick: Lava (BRO: $6,800)

ADC

Favorite: Noah (KT: $7,200) Noah has been a pleasant surprise for KT in the summer split. In 19 games he has over 100 assists (in 19 games) and 57 kills on top of it. I am not sure if his productivity would really put him as a possible captain due to his low kill performances that happen at least once a series. I think with KT and BRO likely being a bloody series, this could be a nice little payoff on a cheaper ADC option.

Value Pick: deokdam (NS: $6,800)

Support

Favorite: Mark (LGD: $5,800) This is not only the most productive support on the slate with 180 assists (10 per game average) but LGD feel like the most likely slam dunk to win. I also am a big fan on the support/ADC pairing and cashing in on early productivity. If you opt to go with Kramer at captain or ADC in your lineup, this is a no brainer pick up.

Value Pick: Harp (KT:$5,200)

Team

Favorite: LGD Gaming ($5,600): I am not sure how good LGD in terms of making it to Worlds. I think with the introduction of Shad0w in the jungle, LGD fixed a lot of problems that they had in Spring in terms of controlling the pace of the match. They are playing Rogue Warriors who are 1-5 in Summer and didn’t win many more games in Spring. I think I would fade LGD against higher teams in the LPL but I am all in on them in this matchup.

Value Pick: Nongshim RedForce ($4,600)
