Tuesday’s LPL pits #1 team JD Gaming against spring play-off contender LNG Esports who’s starting the season strong against two low tier LPL teams. JDG on the other hand play against a rock bottom Rogue Warriors with little to offer to their benefit.
PrizePicks Prop Selections:
Rogue Warriors v Ultra Prime
8917 (RW) - Projected Fantasy Score: 14.5 - UNDER
While 8917 is still new to the LPL, his debut against FunPlus Phoenix was extremely underwhelming. While Nuguri is a world class (and world champion) top laner, its no excuse to have such a non-impact performance against him. Ultra Prime’s Zs is also not great, but he’s rarely a liability of the caliber that 8917 is. I don’t have tremendous faith in either of them, but averaging 7.5 kills between two games feels out of question at best of 8917.
JD Gaming v LNG Esports
Yagao (JDG) - Projected Fantasy Score: 20.5 - OVER
JDG hit the ground running in summer, despite having no roster swaps. They crushed Top Esports handedly, and I acreddit a lot of success to their long time mid laner, Yagao. Despite being overshadowed by Knight for much of his career as one of the “strong, domestic LPL mid laners” owing to the fact that big names like Rookie, Scout, and Doinb hail from Korea, Yagao put on an insane performance against what was his long time rival. Icon is a relative footnote on an underwhelming team, and Yagao is likely to take what’s his against the squad.
JD Gaming v LNG Esports
Icon (LNG) - Projected Fantasy Score: 12.5 - UNDER
The fact of the matter is, even in a lot of their victories, Icon just isn’t an impactful player anymore. I consider him “the robot that pushes mid lane so Tarzan can try to carry” as far has his role on the team is concerned. He hasn’t shown much of anything since his, albeit promising, debut on OMG. I struggle to see him rack up 6.5 kills a game against a strong team like JDG that holds a capable mid-jungle 2v2 that prevents him from accessing their comparatively weak bottom lane.
