Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Able (OMG: $11,700) Admittedly Able is a a little more death prone than I prefer for a captain but you cannot deny his impact in game. He has 45 kills and 67 assists in his 11 games played and OMG has played some really tough matchups so far. ADCs tend to be a position that will rack up most of a team’s points. OMG feels like a safer pick in terms of which favorite to go with on this slate, making Able the best fitting captain pick for Monday.

Value Pick: Strive (RA: $10,200) 

Top 

Favorite: Shanji (OMG: $6,600) I have gone back and rewatched all of OMG’s games and shanji feels like the real deal. It literally does not matter how far behind he may be in a lane, he will try to out skill you in fights. More times than not, he wins those fights. OMG should be able to take this game from LGD and a large part of that path to victory will be getting shanji onto a champion who can create immense pressure in a sidelane and let him go off. 

Value Pick: Cube (RA: $5,600) 

Jungle

Favorite: Weiwei (BLG: $7,200) Some of the bottom lane success for BLG really stems through the work that Weiwei does across the map. He hunts the enemy jungler in the early game and sets up BLG to fight around neutral objectives. His in game direction and leadership can usually gain the advantages that Doggo needs to pick up kills. I would expect big assist numbers in this slot. 

Value Pick: Shad0w (LGD: $6,400) 

Mid

Favorite: FoFo (BLG: $7,400) I like FoFo in the mid lane spot as opposed to the captain spot because he will be part of teamfights for BLG but usually doesn’t finish the kills. He only has 15 kills but has almost 50 assists to his name in 6 games. The BLG/RA match should be pretty hectic and there will be plenty of fighting here to pick up points. 

Value Pick: Strive (RA: $6,800) 

ADC

Favorite:  Doggo (BLG: $7,600) **WARNING** For the first week, BLG’s flashy ADC pickup over the offseason (Uzi) is no longer marked as a “Q” and there is a possibility we see either his return fully or split time on Monday. Either ADC from BLG you choose, there is too big of a gap in the consistency in how the Rare Atom bot lane performs versus Bilibili Gaming’s bot lane. 

Value Pick: Eric ( LGD: $6,800) 

Support

Favorite: Crisp (BLG: $5,400) Now I do believe that BLG could lose this series, but the favorite are BLG. This is especially true in their bottom lane with Doggo and Crisp. Crisp has 62 assists in 6 games which the 10+ assists per game average is great in your lineup. RA’s bot lane (especially their support Zorah) is extremely death prone which directly translate into points.  

Value Pick: Zorah (RA: $4,800) 

Team

Favorite: Oh My God ($5,000) OMG has been such a pleasant surprise in 2022. They struggled so much in Spring Split and the first half of the Summer Split of 2021 but you could see some things begin to turn around at the end. Now they have come out of the gate swinging and they have found a way to balance the early game fighting with actual macro play. They have great macro control and you see it in their objective control. Easy lock for me here.
