We are a full week into the LPL Spring Split and some players have already begun their 2022 campaign with a bang. We have two sets of pretty lopsided matches for Monday morning and finding the best plays will be hard. We are going to dive into the performances of these players over the last week and what we can maybe expect from them tomorrow.

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Gala (RNG: $11,400) This is the best player on the slate, bar none. Gala is World Class and that even includes the former World Champion Lwx. Gala has the best KDA among all available ADCs (8.0) and the most kills (27). These stats are also picked up against RPX and JDG which are both quality teams. This series will be over very quickly, especially with the lackluster performance by TT who went 0-6 on the week.  

Value Pick: Betty (AL: $10,800)

Top 

Favorite: xiaolaohu (FPX: $6,400) This man is an absolute game wrecker. While top laners are seeming to have some opportunities to carry but not many. That being said, xiaolaohu has a whopping 25 kills and 21 assists. If you can get 5 kills and 4 assists per game out of your top laner, you are in a great position to win your lobby.

Value Pick: Zdz (AL: $6,200) 

Jungle

Favorite: Wei (RNG: $7,200) Wei has been one of my favorite junglers since I have began covering the LPL. He has a 4+ KDA and a team kill participation rate of 73%. He has 39 assists on the split in 6 games which is a great rate for such an active jungler. I love Wei’s ability to force enemy junglers to respond to him, and he shouldn’t have too much trouble with TT on Monday. 

Value Pick: Xiaohao (AL: $6,600)

Mid

Favorite: Xiaohu (RNG: $7,400) Xiaohu has not disappointed with his role swap from top to the mid lane. He has a 5.0 KDA and is averaging less than 2 deaths per game. He is safe and fits perfectly in the control mage meta we are in right now. He follows Wei’s aggression around objectives and has great awareness in late game team fights. 

Value Pick: Forge (AL: $6,800) 

ADC

Favorite: Lwx (FPX: $7,400) This is a very seasoned veteran here. He has a World Championship and there aren’t many lanes that intimidate him. I think AL’s Betty can take advantage of mistakes well, but Lwx doesn’t really make mistakes in lane. In his 5 games played, he is averaging only about 2 deaths per game while picking up almost 8 assists at the same time. FPX may drop a game, but I don’t see AL having enough in the tank to take two off of them.

Value Pick: Puff (TT: $6,800) 

Support

Favorite: Ming (RNG: $5,800) Pair your supports with your world class ADCs. That is the analysis here. Ming is a big time initiator of team fights and that means big point pick up. Watch for Ming and Wei to roam heavily against TT on Monday. 

Value Pick: Hang (FPX: $5,600) 

Team

Favorite: FunPlus Phoenix ($5,200) A bit of a change for FPX is how they have approached the game. They are extremely objective focused and they use their aggression to set up vision and control around objectives rather than just for the sake of fighting, That’s why FPX is averaging 57.0 FFPG which is an amazing number for a team slot pick.
