Fantasy Value Breakdown
Captain
Favorite: Vetheo (MSF: $11,700) Its time for this man to get his due. Vetheo has the highest KDA among mid laners (9.0), third highest kills (23), and third highest kill participation at 69.2%. Misfits have surprised everyone and took Rogue to the absolute limit on Friday. Into Astralis, I expect nothing short of a total bloodbath. Both teams love fighting and will fight through their mid lane. A lot of attention will be on Vetheo and MagiFelix in this match which should set you up to pick up some decent points here.
Value Pick: Rekkles (G2: $10,500)
Top Lane
Favorite: HiRit (MSF: $6,800) Much like his mid laner, some love needs to be given to HiRit. He leads the league top laners in kills with 20 and also has a league leading 29 assists in the role as well. Against Rogue he pulled out the much sought after Gwen pick and was an absolute problem. He can play the carry champions as well as the more tanky/engage champions which most tops will struggle with being able to do both. Whiteknight (AST) is always willing to fight so as long as MSF don’t fall too far behind, I think there are going to be more than enough opportunities for HiRit to pick up points on Saturday.
Value Pick: Odoamne (RGE: $6,000)
Jungle
Favorite: Bwipo (FNC: $7,200) Is Bwipo my favorite player? No. I think he lacks some macro awareness, especially against better players. That being said, you cannot mistake the fact that this jungle meta is *chef’s kiss* for him. Being aggressive and constantly looking for fights is how he used to play top and now he is in a role where that is borderline his sole job. He has 13 kills and 20 assists and generates substantial early game leads. If FNC don’t repeat the early game mistakes of MAD from Friday, they should have a decent time with XL.
Value Pick: Jankos ($6,400)
Mid Lane
Favorite: LIDER (VIT: $7,600) This is the future of the LEC in the mid lane. In 4 games he has 13 kills and 11 kills with only 9 deaths in that same time. I find LIDER and interesting player to look at because he has amazing games where he is a menace (especially on his Viego games) but has also had underwhelming games as well. I think the matchup into SK may be more favorable because there isn’t as much of the mid/jungle synergy as he saw against FNC, RGE, and MSF who heavily punished him.
Value Pick: Nisqy (FNC: $7,200)
ADC
Favorite: Crazzy (MAD: $7,800) I feel bad for Carzzy. He has gained this stigma for being wild and reckless. While he makes some suspect plays, he is still one of the best ADCs in the league and fits perfectly in how MAD plays the game. He does not demand resources from his teammates and he allows Kaiser to roam the map. Even with the lack of focus on him, he still has the third most kills (17) and averaging a first blood participation rate of 25%. He is a bit more death prone compared to other ADCs, but with big risks come big pay offs.
Value Pick: Kobbe (MSF: $7,400)
Support
Favorite: Hylissang (FNC: $5,600) I am having cold sweats picking FNC members but the matchup and their performance this split dictates it. I have always thought that Hylissang is a discount version of Mikyx who has a horrible tendency to die in the worst ways and at the worst times. Hylli is second among supports in assists with 49 and has the highest gold differential at 10 minutes at +258. FNC have overall become a faster team since losing Rekkles and adding Upset which is a positive when grabbing their support, just note that there is a good chance that he drops a ton of deaths in the process of winning team fights.
Value Pick: Mikyx (G2: $5,200)
Team
Favorite: Fnatic ($5,400) The new look FNC are not perfect, but they are proving to still be a top tier team. They are a somewhat objective focused team securing the first baron ( a key indicator for wins) at a 75% clip as well as a dragon control rate of 65%. Turrets are a rougher area for them (50%) but they do close out games pretty quickly. I don’t have much faith in their opponent (XL) and their ridley inconsistent play over the course of the first 4 games.
Value Pick: Astralis ($4,400)
