There may have only been two weeks of games played so far, but this Spring Split for the LCS has been a wild ride. We currently have five teams sitting atop the table and two teams who have yet to win a game. Saturday’s slate has one match in particular that will be must watch League of Legends in Team Liquid versus Evil Geniuses. This is a rematch of the Lock In Finals and will be the first time we see the completed roster out of Team Liquid. We are deep into our weekend of League of Legends, so stay here for your DFS coverage!
Game #1: 100 Thieves v Golden Guardians
Cann’s Pick: 100 Thieves
Game #2: Immortals v Team Solomid
Cann’s Pick: Immortals
Game #3: Team Liquid v Evil Geniuses
Cann’s Pick: Team Liquid
Game #4: Dignitas v FlyQuest
Cann’s Pick: FlyQuest
Game #5: Cloud9 v Counter Logic Gaming
Cann’s Pick: Cloud9
Captain
Favorite: Bjergsen (TL: $11,100) The king of the LCS is back and he is in great form already. His near 10 KDA is fifth in the entire LCS and he is averaging only 1 death per game. He has 9 kills which only averages only about 2 per game (which I fully expect to continue to climb throughout Spring) but also has 30 assists to his name. TL are facing EG on Saturday, who feel like they may have begun to cool off a bit in the regular season with far slower starts and their midlaner (jojopyun) has not had as explosive laning phases as of late.
Value Pick: Johnsun (FLY: $10,200)
Top
Favorite: Ssumday (100: $6,800) Through 4 games played, Ssumday is the highest performing top laner in the league. He has the most kills (15), fewest deaths (3), and best KDA (13.7) among all LCS top laners. One of the biggest question marks surrounding this 100 Thieves roster is how their performances out of the top lane would improve going into 2022. Ssumday has never looked like the top laner who won the World Championship with T1 but through 4 games, he looks to be much closer to that carry top laner that joined North America years ago.
Value Pick: Jenkins (CLG: $5,000)
Jungle
Favorite: Blaber (C9: $7,600) Of all the favorites I chose for Saturday’s slate, Blaber could be the most feast or famine pick of the bunch. Blaber has 13 kills and 20 assists in the Spring split and in three of their four games Blaber absolutely ran the map. In their loss to TL last week, he could have been one of the biggest reasons they lost. It is always a risk with this current Cloud9 team because of their coach’s odd picks but Blaber will have agency in most lanes against a struggling CLG squad.
Value Pick: Xerxe (IMT: $7,000)
Mid
Favorite: Fudge (C9: $7,800) Now I think LS will do a better job of getting Fudge on a better pick against CLG. That being said, I am not 100% in love with this pick.If you pay this much money into a pick, you want them to be a machine in picking up kills. In the case of Fudge, he has been put on support mid laner in half the games they have played so far. He will pick up a lot of assist numbers, but you can find much cheaper picks that will pick up more utility style numbers for you.
Value Pick: toucouille (FLY: $6,400)
ADC
Favorite: Hans sama (TL: $7,000) Hans sama has run over almost every bottom lane matchup he has seen in the LCS thus far, and he did it with a sub support. Saturday we get to see Team Liquid’s final form as they bring CoreJJ into the starting lineup. You have the best support the West has ever seen now laning alongside one of the most electric ADCs Europe has ever produced. Love this pick.
Value Pick: Lost (GG: $6,200)
Support
Favorite: huhi (100: $6,000) There are a lot of reasons to pick up huhi for Saturday’s match. First, he actually has a better KDA than the opposing ADC and the 100 Thieves bottom lane has nearly 10 more assists than the CLG bottom lane. Lost has proven his inconsistency, especially against higher skilled opponents, last year during his struggles while on TSM.
Value Pick: CoreJJ (TL: $5,200)
Team
Favorite: Cloud9 ($5,800) We are going to let it ride with the church of LS on Saturday. I will say for the high profile coaching addition for Cloud9, he has shaken up the league. He has brought a new look to the LCS and he has shown the world that you can focus on playing the game that suits your team, rather than trying to match the popular playstyles and champions that the rest of the world is playing.
Value Pick: Flyquest ($4,200)
