(+475) Immortals v Cloud9 (-900)

(-145) Team Solomid v Golden Guardians (+110)

(-120) Evil Geniuses v 100 Thieves (-110)

(-360) Team Liquid v FlyQuest (+255)

(-200) Dignitas v Counter Logic Gaming (+152)

Two big shockers on Saturday brought us a new #1 team in the LCS. 100 Thieves lost a stunner to the winless Immortals, who had not won a single game in any game played in 2022. Questions swirling around this 100 Thieves squad as most feel like they cannot be trusted as a top tier team with such terrible performances sprinkled amongst their dominating wins. The other shocker from the slate was FlyQuest moving to 3-0 over their thrilling win over TSM. The hesitancy around the FlyQuest lineup seems to be lessened after three solid performances but they will need to carry it against the higher tier teams in the league.

Game #1: Immortals v Cloud9

Cann’s Pick:  Cloud9

Game #2: Team Solomid v Golden Guardians

Cann’s Pick: Team Solomid

Game #3: Evil Geniuses v 100 Thieves

Cann’s Pick: Evil Geniuses

Game #4: Team Liquid v FlyQuest

Cann’s Pick: Team Liquid

Game #5: Dignitas v Counter Logic Gaming

Cann’s Pick: Dignitas

Captain

Favorite: Hans sama (TL: $11,700) I am keeping this write up simple for everyone, so you can make your picks and get on to the SuperBowl this evening. Hans sama has definitively arrived in NA. His technical skill is better than almost every other ADC in the league and he should be able to gain edges against the Johnsun/Aphromoo bot lane from FlyQuest. He should be able to drop another 4+ kill game like he did on Saturday and Team Liquid outplays FQ moving through the map.

Value Pick: Danny (EG: $10,500)

Top

Favorite: Bwipo (TL: $6,600) There is a risk and reward aspect to this pick. Bwipo has games where he is put on a carry top lane champion and he absolutely carries the game. His Graves and Gwen picks are perfect examples of this. He also has games like Saturday’s match where he gets placed on side lane duty. The upside to this pick is too high and he can individually win your lobby on his own.

Value Pick: Huni (TSM: $6,400)

Jungle

Favorite: River (DIG: $6,800) River has been a huge addition for the Dignitas squad. He is active throughout the game and loves to start off fights for his team. His ability to make opportunities for the rest of his team, which is why he already has 27 assists through three games and vould easily add more against a much weaker CLG side.

Value Pick: Inspired (EG: $6,200)

Mid

Favorite: Bjergsen (TL: $7,600) He is the king of the mid lane in the LCS. He just doesn’t die often (averaging 1 per game) and is at the core of what TL does. He has a 73% team kill participation rate and other teams cannot figure out what to do to slow down the LCS legend. He is not the highest mid laner in the kill department, which is why I slot him in this slot rather than the captain role.

Value Pick: PowerOf Evil (IMT: $6,000)

ADC

Favorite: Neo (DIG: $7,600) I have been impressed by Dignitas and their ADC Neo. His 8.3 KDA is 3rd best among ADCs. The DIG series win over 100 Thieves in the Lock In Tournament was largely because of Neo’s consistency. He has been playing safely and has focused on participating in the early game fights rather than focusing purely on farming. This translates to more points out of Neo and better scores out of the ADC role for you.

Value Pick: FBI (100: $7,400)

Support

Favorite: Biofrost (DIG: $6,000) I have said this before but it is worth noting. It is always good to stack bot laners together, especially if they normally move throughout the map together. Biofrost makes his money by getting Neo through the early game and protecting him in those critical late game fights. CLG has not shown me that they have people in their roster who can crack this bottom lane and that makes me feel even better about this pick.

Value Pick: Vulcan (EG: $5,200)

Team

Favorite: Team Liquid ($5,400) I know they lost to 100 Thieves in the first week, but they were winning in that match and just got outpaced. There isn’t a cleaner team in the LCS right now. You have 4 veterans and a rookie who takes direction well. You have some of the best talent in every position and a mid laner who was a coach. The resilience of the mindsets from these players are key in matches because it means they are never truly out. Love TL today to give FlyQuest their first loss.

Value Pick: Team Solomid ($4,800)
