League of Legends Championship Series
Week 2 Day 1 / February 12th, 2022
(-240) Evil Geniuses v Dignitas (+180)
(+370) Immortals v 100 Thieves (-600)
(-148) Team Liquid v Cloud9 (+111)
(-145) Golden Guardians v Counter Logic Gaming (+110)
(-190) Team Solomid v FlyQuest (+139)
While most leagues are halfway through their season, the LCS is only in its second week of play. Don’t be fooled by that though, this season will fly by and these organizations know it. Each team has two games against each opponent and every match can be the difference on whether or not a team makes it to the Spring Split playoffs or going home early for the mid season break. 100 Thieves has come out in their first two games sending a message to the rest of the LCS that they are still the best. Team Dignitas is an exciting young team who showed promise in the preseason Lock In Tournament and has also started 2-0 on the season. I can’t review the LCS without making note of the newly formed religion for Cloud9. Both players and fans are now fervently practicing members at the church of LS who is a coach coming to NA from his tenure in Korea and he is flipping the league on its head. With wild picks and new approaches to the game, you can never predict what you will get out of this squad. With a ton of explosive matches on the slate, let’s dive in and see who you should be picking up!

Fantasy Value Breakdown
Captain
Favorite: FBI (100: $12,000) The 100 Thieves ADC and his support (huhi) were the two most dominant bot laners in 2021. The stability of this lane proved to be too much for most teams as the two rarely lost in the early game. The small leads they can create slowly builds into larger leads as the team begins to rotate to different lanes and coordinate objective based fights. FBI averaged 8 kills and 8 assists in his first week of the LCS which makes for a stand out player in your lineup. There is enough value at lower price points throughout the slate that you can invest more heavily into this captain role pick and grab the LCS’ best carry player.
Value Pick: Johnsun (FLY: $10,200)
Top
Favorite: Impact (EG: $6,800) During his time on Team Liquid, Impact gained a reputation of only being able to play tanks in a weak side role. Analysts talked up his strength of being able to lose gracefully in the side lane and he can make up his participation in late game team fights. People questioned his value on a team and his mechanical ability forgetting this man was a previous world champion from the LCK. Now on EG, they put him on picks with agency and outplay potential. In EG’s loss to Cloud9 on Sunday, Impact played one of the most aggressive champions, Tryndamere, and picked up 8 kills in one game. I fully expect more aggressive picks for Impact out of EG to help alleviate the pressure from their rookie mid laner and get more attention into the top and bottom lanes.
Value Pick: Jenkins (CLG: $5,400)
Jungle
Favorite: Santorin (TL: $6,800) Santorin is one of the most consistent junglers in the LCS. He is almost always good for 25-28 points in a game as he plays a team first pick that wants to help his lanes get ahead. With the addition of Bjergsen, Santorin has been far more active in the early game. He has come mid to cover and gank for his new mid laner as the two have reunited once again (both played previously on TSM to great success). Santorin won’t get high kill games as frequently as a Closer or a Blaber but he limits his mistakes and high death/low participation games as a trade off.
Value Pick: River (DIG: $6,000)
Mid
Favorite: Abbedagge (100: $7,800) Admittedly, Abbedagge has looked like the weakest player on 100 Thieves thus far in 2022. We haven’t seen 100 Thieves draft with him in mind and the control mage meta we are currently doesn’t suit his overly aggressive playstyle. That being said, the matchup here is too good. While IMT’s mid laner (PowerOfEvil) is one of the greatest control mage players the LCS has ever seen, I think 100 Thieves can draft to limit that strength from the struggling IMT. Funnel resources into the mid lane and get Abbedagge onto a pick where he can be more aggressive and keep PowerOfEvil as a nonfactor in this matchup.
Value Pick: jojopyun (EG: $7,400)
ADC
Favorite: Danny (EG: $7,800) The young ADC from NA is no longer a rising star. He is the face of the LCS and we have seen that he no longer needs to prove himself valuable. Danny is aggressive and has the mechanical skillset to win a lot of the skirmishes in lane and around objectives. His Zeri game netted him a pentakill (Danny killed all five members of the enemy team in one fight) and absolutely took over the game against TSM In their 2022 season opener.
Value Pick: Hans sama (TL: $7,200)
Support
Favorite: Vulcan (EG: $6,000) Pair your ADC and support together. If you have the confidence to pick an ADC then double down on it by grabbing his support too. Vulcan’s FPPG is a staggering 39.3, which is more than some players in carry roles. The former Cloud9 support was brought to EG for two reasons. The first reason was to give the team direction in game and I would argue that for the most part, he has delivered in that regard. The second job for Vulcan on this team is to help the young Danny develop into a player that will take over games and he has done that exceptionally. Work this pricey support into your lineup and you should have great returns on the final scoreboard.
Value Pick: aphromoo (FLY: $4,800)
Team
Favorite: 100 Thieves ($5,800) This is the safest pick on the slate for a team. They are the reigning LCS champs who just outplayed the reigning Lock In Champs (Team Liquid) in week 1. They are playing Immortals who have looked absolutely awful and without any real direction in game. Even super star players like Xerxe and WildTurtle look like they are out of touch with the meta which has led to Immortals falling behind very quickly. 100 Thieves maximizes their leads and turns it into objective control which will pay dividends in the “Team” slot in your lineup.
Value Pick: Team Dignitas ($4,000)
