(-225) KT Rolster v Fredit BRION (+172)

Hanwha Life Esports v T1

(+137) Team WE v Ultra Prime (-185)

(-650) Weibo Gaming v Oh My God (+400)

(+165) Top Esports v EDward Gaming (-220)

Did we go 5 for 5 on Friday morning? Absolutely. The LPL and LCK have both been wild roller coasters this split and we are really starting to get a better idea of what each of these teams actually are. This slate has some implication for playoff seeding, especially for the struggling EDG who has lost 2 series in their last 3. They have gone from first in the league to now 3rd with many other teams directly on their heels. Weibo, now in first place in the LPL, want to continue refining their playstyle and champion pools. Facing OMG will be a plus for them to be tested, but they shouldn’t be too much at risk of dropping the series. 5 slates incoming over 2 days so there will be no shortage of League of Legends this weekend! Let’s dive in!

Series #1: KT Rolster v Fredit BRION

Cann’s Pick:  KT Rolster (2-1)

Series #2: Hanwha Life Esports v T1

Cann’s Pick: T1 (2-0)

Series #3:  Team WE v Ultra Prime

Cann’s Pick: Ultra Prime (2-0)

Series #4: Weibo Gaming v Oh My God

Cann’s Pick: Weibo Gaming (2-1)

Series #5: Top Esports v EDward Gaming

Cann’s Pick: EDward Gaming (2-0)

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Gumayusi (T1: $12,000) The fact that there are players more expensive that Gumayusi is outrageous. He may be one of the highest performing LCK ADCs ever. If I told you that LCK legend Faker was on a team, you would assume he is the carry for the team. In this instance, Gumayusi is the carry for T1. He has nearly 140 kills and over 140 assists in the 27 games played in Spring 2022. His 5+ KDA is remarkable, especially when you look at how many resources opposing teams throw at the young player and T1 does an exceptional job making sure he is consistently put into positions to succeed.

Value Pick: JieJIe (EDG: $10,200)

Top

Favorite: Rascal (KT: $6,400) Rascal is having a surprisingly good season for KT. I think with the bigger names of Zeus and Canna in the LCK, I have quietly forgotten about Rascal. He has the most kills (73) and the third most assists (111) among LCK top laners. He can win the 1v1 but the best part about Rascal is he doesn’t have to win lane to have an influence in the late game. Quality piece to your lineup with a fair price for the matchup on Saturday.

Value Pick: shanji (OMG: $5,200)

Jungle

Favorite:  Oner (T1: $7,400) I think there is a case to be made for making Oner your captain. He is the only jungler who consistently scores over 70 FPPG on the slate and when watching T1 play, you can see why. Nothing happens in a T1 game that doesn’t have some influence by their jungler, Oner. He has 98 kills (first among LCK junglers) and nearly 200 assists (also first) with very few instances in 2022 where Oner looks to be outmaneuvered by enemy junglers.

Value Pick: SofM (WBG: $6,400)

Mid

Favorite: Angel (WBG: $7,800) I am on the Weibo Gaming hype train now. The conductor of that train has to be their mid laner, Angel. He has a 7.7 KDA and 88 kills in 23 games. He limits mistakes and brings his consistent play to help anchor his aggressive side lanes. The former Suning squad look to be hitting their squad even after losing their all start top laner bin. The reason for this resurgence? The quality play out of Angel and his ability to put constant pressure on the opposing mid laner.

Value Pick: Scout (EDG: $7,400)

ADC

Favorite: Viper (EDG: $7,400) The Viper pick here is a combination of his safe playstyle and the reckless abandon that TOP esports like to play with. Viper is averaging just over one death per game but still have picked up 84 kills and 108 assists. JackeyLove (TES ADC) has 61 deaths in 23 games and has a 21% team death percent share rate. EDG will look to expose the overaggression of JackeyLove, as many teams have done to great success this season, and Viper should get ahead because of it.

Value Pick: Able (OMG: $6,600)

Support

Favorite:  Keria (T1: $6,400) Pair the top ADC and the top support on the slate. Keria has the highest number of assists in the LCK (296) and has one of the highest team kill participation rates (77%) in all of the league. Keria will roam the map with Oner and snowball T1’s early lead to a point where the opposing team have no shot getting back into the game.

Value Pick: Meiko (EDG: $5,800)

Team

Favorite: T1 ($5,800) This is the best team in the world right now. Not just because of their unbeaten record, but how efficiently they have disposed of the opposing teams. T1 has a 22-5 game record and are 11-0 in all series played in 2022 in one of the most competitive leagues in the world. The ceiling is very high for this team of superstars.

Value Pick: Fredit BRION ($4,200)
