(+265) C9 v RNG (-385)

(+500) PGG v MAD(-900)

(-425) DWG v PSG (+285)

(-475) PGG v C9 (-800)

We are nearing the end of the Rumble round and we have a decent look at which four teams are going on to the semifinals. With PGG firmly on the outside looking in at a 0-6 scoreline, the NA representative is probably wishing they were mathematically eliminated so they could be done with this tournament. At the top of the table we have DWG and RNG who both look like a cut above, even with RNG dropping their first game in the entire tournament on Sunday. Let’s take a look at the matches and dive into the picks. Let’s get after it!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: GALA (RNG: $12,000) The challenge in this tournament is to find new ways to justify why to pick GALA as captain day in and day out. RNG is playing the two teams with the most deaths in the Rumble Round. RNG also has more kills than any other team (277 in total). I think the RNG loss to PSG was coming, they weren’t going to be undefeated in the entire tournament, but I don’t see them dropping many more games in the rest of the tournament. GALA has 82 kills and a 6.7 KDA in this tournament and neither of these bot lanes really scare me.

Value Pick: ShowMaker (ShowMaker: $11,100)

Top Lane

Favorite: Armut (MAD: $6,200): Armut is having a really good tournament. After being picked up by the European MAD Lions this year, he has easily filled the void of the former top lane god left by Alphari coming to NA. Armut has a 4.5 KDA and 34 kills to his name. The value in this pick is great, especially with how safe he has been in lane (only 27 deaths). He has played a wide range of champions to meet the different needs of MAD Lions. The last game against DWG Armut played well into Khan and I expect the European representatives to bring something spicy to the table here.

Value Pick: Hanabi (PSG: $5,400)

Jungle

Favorite: Wei (RNG: $7,200): Wei has almost 20 more kills than the next closest jungler and he has 120 assists in 14 games. RNG has been speed running this tournament and them playing PGG tomorrow morning only means more points for him. The gap between these two teams seem to be getting farther and farther apart. Cloud9 has seemed like a shell of the team we saw go 3-0 in the group stage and they have no way to close out games. I like this pick here.

Value Pick: Blaber (C9: $6,600)

Mid Lane

Favorite: Humanoid (MAD: $7,200): Humanoid has had a pretty good tournament and I think this matchup is pretty good for him. In their last match against DWG, ShowMaker put absolutely no pressure on Humanoid and while DWG won that match, you can easily point to Ghost and BeryL for that win. I think this is a safe pick and MAD gets their second match against the worst team in the Rumble stage in PGG. Gold pick here.

Value Pick: Perkz (PSG: $7,000)

ADC

Favorite: Ghost (DWG: $7,600) Someone get this man a backbrace because it has to hurt from how much he is carrying this team. He has a 7.9 KDA and 56 kills over 12 games. He makes the picks that DWG needs at the best moments possible and most importantly, he doesn’t die. Seriously, he is averaging just over 1 death per game and has carried his team in damage percentage. The only real reason this team is at 5-1 right now is because of this bottom lane here. If they get to 7-1 on Monday, it is because of Ghost.

Value Pick: Carzzy (MAD:$7,400)

Support

Favorite: Ming (Ming: $6,000) Second verse, same as the first. If you support GALA and you are playing weaker teams, this is a great pick. Vulcan and Zven from Cloud9 are the tougher bot lane they will see on Monday and they are playing horrendously and the bot lane of PSG is their weakness with them playing with a sub in Doggo. I think Ming is the best support in the tournament and his leading 152 assists prove it.

Value Pick: Kaiser (MAD: $5,600)

Team

Favorite: MAD Lions ($4,800)  I do not trust DWG at all. The flaws they have shown thus far have only been seriously exploited by RNG and C9 in one match. Every other game teams have failed to close it out against them. Both DFM and C9 have had them backup into their base and found ways to lose this game. I think MAD push Armut into a winning lane and Carzzy goes onto the Tristana like their first matchup. The difference? I think Carzzy plays safer and doesn’t get picked.

Value Pick: Cloud9 ($4,600)
