Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Chovy (GEN: $11.400) On Saturday’s slate, only his teammate Ruler has more kills than Chovy. With his 53 kills, Chovy also has a staggering 81 assists with a 72% team kill participation rate in their 2022 LCK Spring Split campaign. He has played mainly control mages in the mid lane and has only dropped one game across all series played. Gen.G’s playstyle is in meta and the skill gap should be wide enough that there shouldn’t be much stress on the superstar midlaner. 

Value Pick: Canna (NS: $9,600)

Top 

Favorite: Doran (GEN: $6,600) Outside of Kingen from DRX, most of the top laners are similar in their output. I like Doran because I really trust Gen.G and their ability to play the map. Their macro play should lead to Doran (and the rest of the team) having the ability to grab the game not played bonus. 

Value Pick: Rascal (KT: $5,800) 

Jungle

Favorite: Peanut (NS: $7,000) Dread from NS is having a higher average output per game compared to Peanut, but I think Peanut is facing the easier opponent in Cuzz. Cuzz is very active in teamfights for KT Rolster, but in the early game he can fall behind in matching ganks. Peanut is aggressive in the mid and bottom lanes and he has an opportunity to outpace Cuzz early in the game and lead to faster wins. 

Value Pick: Dread (NS: $6,800) 

Mid

Favorite: Bdd (NS: $7,200) When you play NS, you have to deal with an additional turret in the mid lane in Bdd. He has a lower team kill participation rate (59%) but he does such a masterful job in collecting farm and scaling hard into the late game. You will see the bulk of his points come in the last 10-15 minutes of a match and they will come in a flurry. Zeka (DRX) doesn’t die much but he can get pushed out of lane easily which translates into earlier leads for Bdd and NS. 

Value Pick: Aria (KT: $6,400)  

ADC

Favorite: Ghost (NS: $7,600) Ghost plays a similar role on NS as he did with DWG for the last two years. He is conservative in the laning phase and waits for his jungler (Dread) to come bottom before he looks to apply pressure on the enemy laners. He responds to fights and you almost never see him die at inopportune times. This means he does not get caught out of position or in rotation. He dies in teamfights where he may be focused but he doesn’t give over free kills. This helps add kills and assists onto his scoreline at the end of the game.  

Value Pick: Aiming (KT: $7,000) 

Support

Favorite: Peter (NS: $5,800) When looking at supports who maximize participation while limiting needless deaths, Peter has to jump to the top of the list. He has 15 deaths (averaging just over 1 death per game) and 98 assists and the highest support team kill participation rate of 76%. DRX’s bottom lane is a weakness and I can easily see a line of thought by NS that a path to victory would run through applying a lot of pressure in that lane. 

Value Pick: Lehends (GEN: $5,600) 

Team

Favorite: Gen.G ($5,400) They are the most well polished teams in the world right now. The LCK feels like the bottom teams have gotten better and Gen.G’s new lineup looks unphased. They have the second highest early game rating (65) and the highest mid-late game rating which means they are winning in all phases of the game. KT Rolster falls off really hard in the late game which should make it easier for Gen.G to seal a fast 2-0 on Saturday.
