(-275) JD Gaming v Invictus Gaming (+195)
(-650) Royal Never Give Up v Rare Atom (+395)
Monday brought us two LPL series that went the distance with V5 winning 2-1 over LGD and TES breaking the standings tie with FPX. Tuesday looks to be just as thrilling with the two underdogs (Rare Atom and Invictus Gaming) just on the outside of the playoff cut. JD Gaming isn’t that secure in their playoff positioning at 8th place with a 4-3 record. The best team on the slate is the LPL giant, Royal Never Give Up. RNG is in the top 5 of the league and a win would technically put them in first place in the LPL. In this breakdown of Tuesday’s slate, I am going to give you the best three locks and two sneaky picks that you should be looking to add to your lineup! Let’s dive in!
Series #1: JD Gaming v Invictus Gaming
Cann’s Pick: JD Gaming (2-0)
Series #2: Royal Never Give Up v Rare Atom
Cann’s Pick: Royal Never Give Up (2-1)
Fantasy Value Breakdown
Favorite: Gala (RNG: $11,700/$7,800) The Gala pick may be overvalued based on the lack of other slam dunk picks on the slate, but it doesn’t take away from the fact the Gala is a huge contributor to the late game for RNG. Gala will hit 100+ kills in this matchup and he is currently at 4.2 kills per game played and this includes matchups against V5, Bilibili Gaming, and JD Gaming. The ceiling is higher yet and a matchup against a disorganized RA will be a great opportunity for him to hit good numbers for Tuesday.
Favorite: Hope (JDG: $11,400/$7,600) The addition of Hope and the introduction of him into the main roster may be the point that will define JD Gaming’s 2022 season. He is one of the highest performing players in the entire LPL with a 5.5 kill per game average and is sitting at 30+% team kill percentage. I think this is a great candidate for your captain spot to save some money for later in your lineup.
Favorite: Xiaohu (RNG: $11,400/$7,600) I love watching Xiaohu play in the middle lane. I thought he was an electric top laner and we have seen that only a fraction of his technical skill was seen last year. A 5.6 KDA and a team kill participation rate of 70.6% are among the best in the LPL. This is the carry for RNG and they fight through Xiaohu. He gets priority in his lane and then will work to influence his other lanes which not all LPL mid laners do.
Value Pick: 369 (JDG: $6,200) This is a great value pick for your lineup. Most games, 369 will be relegated to more of a supportive role. He plays beefy champions and will hold the side lane for his team. He won’t usually have flashy kill numbers but the best part of this pick is his consistency. He has one of the highest top laner KDAs (2.9) and has one of the lowest death totals (52) in the league. He has over 100 assists and fonds ways to get involved in the late game.
Value Pick: Leyan (RA: $6,200) You may shy away from any RA players because they are playing RNG. I think that is the safer bet, there are some players you can look at. RA’s jungler, Leyan, finds ways to stay active in their larger strategy. He has a team kill participation rate of 71% ad while he has a higher death total (72), he makes up for in it his other stats with 52 kills and 122 assists. I think this series could possibly go to a full 3 game series and RA can be a super volatile team. Very high ceilings and some low floors.
