(-180) Team Solomid v Evil Geniuses (+140)

(-150) Team Dignitas v FlyQuest (+115)

(-210) Cloud9 v 100 Thieves (+165)

(+225) Counter Logic Gaming v Team Liquid (-310)

(-230) Immortals v Golden Guardians (+175)

Yesterday was an absolute roller coaster of emotions. So many favorites lost and teams who had been the punching bag in Spring came back with a vengeance. I loved seeing growth from teams like Immortals and Golden Guardians but am concerned for Team Liquid who came out Saturday morning saying their All-Star top laner (Alphari) is benched for the foreseeable future. Cloud9 changed ADCs but while K1ng looked good, it wasn’t enough to find a win. So what parody are we going to see here on this Saturday slate? Let’s dive in!

  • Game #1 Team Solomid v Evil Geniuses
  • Cann’s Pick: Team Solomid
  • Game #2: Team Dignitas v FlyQuest
  • Cann’s Pick: Team Dignitas
  • Game #3: Cloud9 v 100 Thieves
  • Cann’s Pick: 100 Thieves
  • Game #4: Counter Logic Gaming v Team Liquid
  • Cann’s Pick: Team Liquid
  • Game #5: Immortals v Golden Guardians
  • Cann’s Pick: Immortals
  • Fantasy Value Breakdown

Captain

Favorite: Neo (DIG: $12,000): Into a heavy hitter in Evil Geniuses on Friday, Neo helped push his team to a pretty definitive victory with a 5 kill and 11 assist performance. What makes Neo a smart pick up in the captain role is how much Dignitas revolves around him and how much of an impact he has on late game fights. In fact, yesterday he had a 76% team kill participation rate while only dying 3 times. I have pretty lofty expectations for him into Johnsun who was only able to pick up 4 kill participation in their win yesterday which is only a 22%. This is Neo’s game to win here.

Value Pick: Jensen (TL: $11,700)

Top Lane

Favorite: Revenge (IMT: $6,400): I cannot believe I am writing about Revenge again. At the beginning of the Spring Split he looked like he was going to be one of the most dominant top laners in the league but he just disappeared as the split went on. Into Ssumday and 100 Thieves on Friday, he looked like he was back in his old form with a 4 kill and 11 assists performance on his Sett pick. I loved it. He had agency and was so aggressive into a matchup he was not expected to win. I think into Solo from Golden Guardians Revenge should be able to keep up his aggressive playstyle. Solo went 2-5-9 into Cloud9 in their win on Friday but he had no control over the top lane in the early game. This is a playstyle mismatch here and I am all for it.

Value Pick: Finn (CLG: $5,200)

Jungle

Favorite: Spica (TSM: $6,600): I think Spica may be the most underrated player in the LCS right now. It is hard for him to constantly be compared to the likes of Blaber because Spica is technically sound, amazing at securing objectives, and deep understanding of champion matchups. I think his time playing within the TSM system has helped him understand how to pick his times to be aggressive and help his superstar midlaner get ahead. The gap between him and Santorin from TL on Friday proved to be the difference. Love him into Svenskeren and Evil Geniuses who really struggled to connect the lanes and jungle

Value Pick: Josedeodo ($6,000)

Mid Lane

Favorite: Jensen (TL: $7,800): Jensen is going to need to make a big impact in this game. With Alphari out and an Academy player stepping in at top lane, Team Liquid is going to need someone to carry this squad. Pobelter (CLG) got absolutely worked over by Palafox in their loss to Flyquest on Friday while Jensen worked over TSM in a loss on Friday dropping 8 kills and 6 assists into a lane disadvantage. I think Jensen continues to step up and may be the reason that TL can win this game.

Value Pick: Ablazeolive (GG: $6,000)

ADC

Favorite: Lost (TSM:$7,200): Look, I am the first to question Lost and his ability to play at this level. Against good teams I see him constantly rolling over in lane and losing any agency. He and SwordArt fell behind significantly in lane against Tactical and CoreJJ but He put it back together in the late game. He had 5 kills and 7 assists to only 3 deaths which is respectable into the likes of TL. On Saturday he is facing Danny and IgNar who looked not on the same page on Friday. I think the synergy that has already been built up in this bot lane will carry the performance and lead to big numbers

Value Pick: FBI (100T:$7,000)

Support

Favorite: Aphromoo (DIG: $5,800) There is no player in the LCS that is as much of the heartbeat of their team as Aphromoo is for Dignitas. The entire game plays through him and his ability to work the map. He was the assist leader in Spring with 179 and then dropped another 15 yesterday in Dignitas’ win over Evil Geniuses. While FlyQuest had a decent showing in their match against CLG, the raw skill gap between Neo/Aphromoo and WildTurtle/Smoothie is drastic. Love this pick and love the intensity that DIG came out with in day 1.

Value Pick: Chime (GG: $4,200)

Team

Favorite: Immortals ($5,400) Nothing should be taken away from Golden Guardians for beating Cloud9 on Friday but it should be said that their win was almost more of Cloud9’s loss. C9 was in the GG base and had the win all but locked down and then in a series of horrible mistakes threw the game. Credit to GG for being patient and big props to their mid laner (Ablazeolive) for carrying the team in the late game but you can’t make a habit of winning games like this. Immortals showed real control and efficient playcalls throughout the entire game which tells me this game is going to be far more difficult for GG to stay relevant in.

Value Pick: Team Solomid ($5,000)
