While today's slate may not be the “frozen frenzy” there are still 11 games on tap around the NHL and so many ways to win! Tuesday was a great day on the betting front as I close in closer to over .500 on the season record that was caused by an opening week slump. As we continue on this NHL season though, the more data that comes in the more effective the analysis will be and we will get into the green I can promise you all that! In today's article you will find a trio of NHL Best Bets to look into and they include a Money Line, Game Total and Puck Line all of which I am ready to add to my wager slip. Good luck everyone as always, stick to the plan and let's win some dough.

NHL Best Bets for October 26

Colorado Avalanche at Pittsburgh Penguins

As much as it pains me to write this, the Penguins look lost right now and a visit from the Colorado Avalanche likely isn't going to help them rebound in this game tonight. Pittsburgh the last several seasons has really struggled against teams that can skate and skate fast and the Avalanche are as quick as they come. That is also backed up by their metrics this season as they rank 2nd in the NHL in expected goals percentage at 56.54% and 4th in Corsi For at 56.01%. Those stats are both super important as they show the makings of a dominant team and the Avalanche are exactly that right now and are undefeated through 6 games. The goaltender situation doesn't make things better for the Penguins either as Tristian Jarry with his 2.81 GAA goes up against Alexandar Georgiev and his 1.98 GAA. All things point in the direction of Colorado tonight and because they are on the road playing against the Penguins you'll get them at a good value on the Money Line.

Pick: Colorado Avalanche Money Line (-145 at BetMGM)

Minnesota Wild at Philadelphia Flyers

Be careful when looking at stats this early in the season because with a small sample size numbers get skewed and I believe that's what has happened with the Minnesota Wild so far. This team was a lock on under game totals last season hitting them over 60% of the time but this season they have gone over in 5 of 6 games and have continually gotten into shootouts with the opposition. I think things change tonight as they visit the Flyers who have been great on defense allowing just 2.67 goals per game, a mark of a John Torterella led team. Carter Hart will get the start in goal as well for the Flyers and he is having a bounce back season so far with a GAA of just 2.21 and SV% of .922. He will go against Filip Gustavsson or at least is projected to and last season he was one of the best goaltenders in the 2nd half of the season. Given the larger stats on hand, going back to last season I see this one going under the 6.5 goals tonight and the Wild finally cooling off.

Pick: Wild & Flyers Under 6 Goals (-105 at BetMGM)

San Jose Sharks at Tampa Bay Lightning

Just like I said on Tuesday's best bets, the Sharks are very bad and they are playing on the east coast, its a double whammy for them and until I see something of life from them I will keep hammering bets against them. They are 1-5 overall against the spread this season and analytically are in the toilet with an expected goal rate of 38.05% which is dead last in the league and they are scoring just 1.33 goals per game. Enter the Lightning who aren't the juggernauts they used to be but still pretty damn good and are 3-0-1 on home ice this season and have outscored opponents 15-10 in that span. They should make quick work with the stars they employ even if Steven Stamkos is banged up, give me the Lightning big tonight.

Pick: Tampa Bay Lightning Puck Line -1.5 (-115 on BetMGM)
