NFL DFS Week 7 WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy
Be sure to keep an eye on this for updates throughout the week, because there are a few situations I’m monitoring, namely the injury reports for the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, and Carolina Panthers. With many notable teams off the main slate, the top tier is rather light this week, but as we see the injury reports throughout the week, some of the elite players will surface as good options at their respective price points. I like many players in the $5-6K range on DraftKings this week, and I expect Rashee Rice will be one of the higher-owned players this week. After sifting through the data and crunching the numbers, I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by Ladd McConkey of the Los Angeles Chargers.
NFL Week 7 Wide Receivers
Quick notes on the slate:
- 2 games with a total of at least 47 points
- Highest projected ownership on DraftKings: Rashee Rice (33.10%), Deebo Samuel (25.50%), CeeDee Lamb (16.60%), Chris Olave (16.50%), Justin Jefferson (15.10%), A.J. Brown (13.70%)
- Highest projected ownership on FanDuel: Deebo Samuel (41.80%), Chris Olave (33.40%), Stefon Diggs (29.20%), CeeDee Lamb (21.60%), Tetairoa McMillan (17.40%)
- Highest implied team totals: Chiefs (28.29), Commanders (27.67), Cowboys (26.89), Bears (24.83), Packers (24.76), Chargers (24.67), Patriots (23.97), Colts (23.89)
This is a living, breathing resource, and it will be updated as the week goes on, based on injury news, practice reports, etc. By Sunday, you may see some players removed who were earlier featured, or perhaps some players added as we approach Sunday's kickoff.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Week 7
Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $6,900
10/17 UPDATE: We are going to need to keep an eye on the weather here. At time of writing, the heavy winds are expected pre- and post-game, but that is obviously subject to change.
The injury to Tyreek Hill has unleashed Jaylen Waddle, who has a 24.6% target share and 3.66 yards per route run over his last two games, per FantasyPoints. Over the last two weeks, his 0.60 fantasy points per route run is actually higher than Ja'Marr Chase’s and Amon-Ra St. Brown’s! Cleveland is going to play a ton of man defense, and Waddle has posted 2.06 yards per route run against man coverage this season. The Browns play Cover 1 at the league’s highest rate, and back in 2024, Waddle notched 2.34 yards per route run and 2.9 yards per target over expectation against this coverage scheme, per Fantasy Points.
Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $7,800
Odunze has a 20.6% target share and 14.4 yards per reception against Cover 3 this season, a scheme the Saints deploy at a top-five clip in the NFL, per FantasyPoints. The Saints rank in the bottom seven in the NFL in yards per game, yards per route run, and fantasy points per game to the perimeter this season, per FantasyPoints. When lined up out wide, Odunze has logged 2.66 yards per route run and a very, very healthy 36.2% first read rate. Perhaps a less-than-stellar showing on Monday night in Week 6 will keep ownership down a bit on Odunze. However, I will say that if the Bears quit the Olamide Zaccheaus experiment, I’d be all over Luther Burden in Week 7.
ADDED 10/17: CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $4,000 | FanDuel: $8,600
We haven’t seen Lamb for a few weeks due to injury, but he’s set to play without limitation, and through the first two weeks, Lamb had the third-most receiving yards in the league, not to mention a 27.9% target share, per Fantasy Points. He was utilized far more than George Pickens, and Dak Prescott should be stoked to have Lamb back against a very, very vulnerable Washington secondary. The Commanders play single-high safety looks at the 10th-highest clip, Cover 1 at the 10th-highest rate, and man coverage at the 11th-highest rate, per FantasyPoints, and check out Lamb’s numbers last year against those numbers:
- Vs. Single-High Safety Looks: 9.8 aDOT, 0.32 targets per route run, 2.97 yards per route run
- Vs. Cover 1:Â 11.5 aDOT, 0.32 targets per route run, 3.13 yards per route run
- Vs. Man Coverage: 10.9 aDOT, 0.31 targets per route run, 3.36 yards per route run

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 7
DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $6,100
The Vikings play a ton of two-high safety looks, and Smith has significantly outperformed teammate A.J. Brown in this department this season. We’ll talk about Brown a bit later, but this year against two-high looks, Smith has 36.1% of the team’s air yards, 1.94 yards per route run, and 122.6 passer rating when targeted, per FantasyPoints. It’s certainly not the most glamorous play, but it could be a nice leverage spot with lower-than-expected ownership.
Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs - DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $7,500
Kansas City is chomping at the bit to get Rice back in the mix, and why not feature him prominently in a divisional matchup against the Raiders? Las Vegas has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts on the season, and no team plays more zone coverage than the Raiders. Why is that important? Well, prior to his injury in 2025, he posted 3.33 yards per route run and caught over 81% of his targets, per Pro Football Focus. Furthermore, his receiving grade in his rookie season (2023) against zone coverage was 11th-best! The price on DraftKings feels better than FanDuel.
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $5,000 | FanDuel: $6,300
Doubs has at least eight targets and 55 yards in back-to-back games, and he’s posted 14.1 yards per reception and a 15.9 average depth of target (aDOT) versus zone coverage this season. Will Johnson has been solid on the perimeter, but Max Melton has not (15.6 Y/Rec, 6.0 Snaps per Target). There’s another Green Bay receiver who I think has higher upside, but Doubs is the safer choice amongst Green Bay’s wideouts this week.

NFL Week 7 DFS WR Value Picks
Troy Franklin, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $3,900 | FanDuel: $5,300
The Giants play a ton of man defense, and Franklin has a respectable 26.3% target share and 1.87 yards per route run versus man coverage this season, per FantasyPoints. Furthermore, yes, the Giants have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wideouts, but beyond that, they’ve allowed the third-most yards per game and third-most fantasy points per game to the slot in particular! No CB has allowed more yards in slot coverage this year than New York’s Andru Phillips, so I like the outlook for Franklin after a quiet couple of weeks. If you have the money, Courtland Sutton is also in a good spot against this porous secondary.
Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $4,800 | FanDuel: $5,700
10/17 UPDATE #2: Downs was ruled out. I'll give a nod to Alec Pierce if you want exposure to this matchup.
10/17 UPDATE: Two DNPs to begin the week and being in concussion protocol isn't great for Downs' ability this weekend. In fact, without practicing on Thursday, I'm pretty certain he will be missing this game. Alec Pierce would be the next Indy WR I'm most interested in.
Downs has picked things up over the last two weeks, leading the Colts in targets, receptions, and yards per route run across Weeks 5 and 6. He’s held a commanding 31.8% first read rate and 0.66 fantasy points per route run, per FantasyPoints, both of which are very solid numbers. The Chargers have been pretty good in slot coverage, but Downs has excelled against Cover 3 this season (2.32 yards per route run, 90% catch rate), a scheme the Chargers play at one of the highest clips in the NFL.
Matthew Golden, Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $4,700 | FanDuel: $5,900
The Cardinals have allowed the fourth-most yards per game and sixth-most fantasy points per game to the slot this season, and they play zone coverage three-fourths of the time, per FantasyPoints. Against zone coverage this season, Golden is averaging nearly 18 yards per reception and 1.58 yards per route run, per Pro Football Focus. He’s been the team’s primary slot man the past few weeks, and the talent is undeniable. Also, for whatever reason, despite his season-best 13.2 DraftKings points last week, his price went down $300.
Van Jefferson, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $3,200 | FanDuel: $4,800
10/17 UPDATE #2: Calvin Ridley was ruled OUT. Jefferson should handle a sizable workload in this matchup.
10/17 UPDATE: Calvin Ridley didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, while Jefferson was able to practice in a limited fashion both days. If Ridley misses, Jefferson is in line for a bunch of work on Sunday.
If Calvin Ridley doesn’t play, I’d expect the Titans to leverage Jefferson’s NFL experience and play him the majority of snaps like last week. After operating in a reserve role the first few weeks, Jefferson caught four of six targets for 75 yards in a Week 6 loss to the Raiders. New England’s best corner, Christian Gonzalez, has taken all but a handful of snaps on the right side, and Tennessee’s perimeter receivers nearly split time on each side. I’d expect Jefferson to take advantage of his reps against Carlton Davis, who has four penalties, two touchdowns allowed, and over 11 yards per reception in coverage this season, per Pro Football Focus.
ADDED 10/17: Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers - DraftKings: $4,000 | FanDuel: $4,900
10/17 UPDATE: Coker is expected to make his season debut in Week 7. Fire him up!
The Jets have allowed the eighth-most yards per route run to the slot this season, and given the fact that Tetairoa McMillan will likely be seeing a ton of Sauce Gardner, why not look to Coker in his season debut? In the six games he played at least two-thirds of the offensive snaps last season, he posted an 18.3% target share, 1.89 yards per route run, and 55.7 receiving yards per game! Over the final four games of the 2024 season, he posted 10.8 fantasy points per game, and that’s nearly 3x ROI on DraftKings at his $4K price.

NFL DFS WR Fade for Week 7
A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $5,800 | FanDuel: $7,600
I mentioned it earlier when talking up DeVonta Smith, but Brown has not been good against two-high safety looks this season. Against these looks, he has 0.87 yards per route run, a 52.4% catch rate, and -3.2 yards per target over expectation, per FantasyPoints. Furthermore, the Vikings don’t play a ton of man coverage, and against zone in 2025, Brown has a 54.2% catch rate, 1.04 yards per route run, and 71.2 passer rating when targeted, per Pro Football Focus. He’s surpassed 45 receiving yards in just two games this season, and he has as many games with under 10 yards as he does over 45 yards.
NFL Week 7 WR Play of The Week
Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $7,300
The Colts have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts, and Ladd McConkey might be back. Sure, Quentin Johnston was out of the picture in Week 6, but McConkey caught seven of nine targets for 100 yards, and he now has a touchdown in back-to-back games. Keenan Allen has been quiet in recent games, and this Colts team has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the slot in 2025, per FantasyPoints. Lastly, the Colts play a fair amount of man coverage, and McConkey has 3.55 yards per route run and over 15 yards per reception the last two weeks against man coverage.
