NFL DFS Thanksgiving WR Coach for Fanduel & DraftKings Fantasy
The three Thanksgiving games look quite intriguing, both at the wide receiver position and from a fan’s watching perspective. I’m particularly intrigued by Chiefs-Cowboys, as you’ll see below, and the value options in the Baltimore-Cincinnati nightcap have caught my eye as well. After sifting through the data and crunching the numbers, I’ve identified my favorite plays at the position this week, and there should be a receiver or two at every price point to give you plenty of options when building your NFL DFS lineups this week, headlined by none other than Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals.
NFL Thanksgiving Wide Receivers
This is a living, breathing resource, and it will be updated as the week goes on, based on injury news, practice reports, etc. By Sunday, you may see some players removed who were earlier featured, or perhaps some players added as we approach Sunday kickoff.
NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Thanksgiving
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $7,800 | FanDuel: $9,000
We love the Lions at home, and St. Brown’s 2.57 yards per route run profiles quite nicely against a zone-heavy Green Bay scheme, per FantasyPoints. St. Brown is averaging 11 targets and 79.5 yards per game over his last six, and we can’t discount the fact that this game is played on his home turf. At home this year, he’s averaged eight receptions and 103.4 yards per game, compared to 5.8 receptions and 61.2 yards per game on the road. Furthermore, seven of his nine touchdowns on the season have come at home! Green Bay isn’t the most generous to slot receivers, but it's hard to ignore St. Brown on Thanksgiving day at home. I will give a nod to Jameson Williams at just $4,800 on DraftKings. Yes, he got a zero last week, and he’s better against man than zone, but $4,800 on DraftKings is too cheap with this game being at home.
George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $8,000
Since CeeDee Lamb has returned from injury in Week 7, Pickens actually has more receptions (35), yards (529), and yards per route run (3.21) than Lamb. Lamb may have a few more targets, but Pickens has been far better on many metrics under the hood. The Chiefs are tough on perimeter receivers, so it’s not the best matchup for Pickens, but of WRs with at least 100 routes run since the schedule flipped to Week 7, Pickens is tied with JSN for the best yards per target over expectation (4.1) in the NFL.
Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs - DraftKings: $7,500 | FanDuel: $8,600
There were a few points in the team’s Week 12 game that Rice was grabbing at his hamstring and moving a bit gingerly, so we’ll need to keep an eye on that. However, assuming he’s healthy and playing at full speed, he could FEAST against this defense. Dallas plays zone just over 80% of the time, and against zone coverage this year, Rice has 3.90 yards per route run and 0.35 targets per route run, per FantasyPoints Data. Furthermore, His 0.74 fantasy points per route run against zone coverage is the second-best mark amongst wideouts with at least 20 routes run against zone coverage in 2025, per FantasyPoints Data.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $8,700
You’ll have better luck throwing against Kansas City than running it against them, so that bodes well for the Dallas passing attack. Despite Pickens’ numbers looking better than Lamb’s, he still ranks 10th in receiving yards per game since Week 7, and is the WR15 in that stretch. The Chiefs have been rather stingy to slot receivers, and Lamb’s average at best 0.029 separation score out of the slot doesn’t exactly pair the best with his 30% contested catch rate over his last five games, per FantasyPoints Data. Sure, we’re nitpicking a bit, but worth calling it out nonetheless.
NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Thanksgiving
Xavier Worthy - DraftKings: $4,500 | FanDuel: $5,700
Worthy makes a lot of sense if looking at this Kansas City offense aside from Rashee Rice at the wide receiver position. Worthy primarily lines up out wide, and the Cowboys rank in the bottom five in yards per target and fantasy points per game to perimeter wide receivers this season, per FantasyPoints Data. Worthy has long speed that can give opposing defenses fits, and we just saw DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown get loose against this secondary last week! Worthy has seven or more targets in three of his last four games, and for what it’s worth, he’s the WR25 in expected fantasy points per game over the last five weeks. Do with that what you will!
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $4,700 | FanDuel: $6,000
The only Green Bay pass catchers with notable production against man coverage this year are Tucker Kraft and Christian Watson, and the former won’t be suiting up on Thursday. He’s posted 2.79 yards per route run against man coverage, per FantasyPoints Data, and his 2.76 yards per route run against single-high safety looks also projects well against this Detroit defense. We talked about it earlier with St. Brown, but the Lions are a different beast at home, and Green Bay is going to need to score. Watson is coming off a season-high seven targets, and the Lions have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to perimeter receivers, and nearly 70% of his routes this year have come out wide.
NFL Thanksgiving DFS WR Value Picks
Mitchell Tinsley, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $3,500 | FanDuel: $4,100
With no Ja'Marr Chase in Week 12, Tinsley posted season highs in target share (15.8%), route share (69.2%), and snap share (72.6%), per FantasyPoints. He nearly exclusively played on the perimeter (88.9% of routes), and had a healthy aDOT (15.3) and share of the team’s air yards (29.4%). Joe Burrow torched this Baltimore defense on two occasions last year, passing for 392 yards and 5 TDs in Week 5, and besting that with 428 yards and 4 TDs in Week 10. I’d expect Andrei Iosivas to get more ownership, making Tinsley a high-risk/high-reward option.
DeVontez Walker - DraftKings: $3,000 | FanDuel: $4,300
Many times on these small slates, it’s a “random” touchdown or big game from someone unexpected that catapults lineups up the board. Most lineups are likely going to lean more GPP than cash with just three games, so why not throw a dart at Walker? Yes, he’s not a consistent presence in the Baltimore offense, but this Bengals defense has been quite bad for most of the season, and teams are scoring at will against them. It’s a small sample size, but he has 5.87 yards per route run and 1.19 fantasy points per route run against single-high safety looks this season, and Cincy runs those looks at one of the higher clips in the NFL, per FantasyPoints Data. If Rashod Bateman doesn’t play, Walker could see around a 20-25% percent route share on Thursday, and when he’s getting looks, it’s going to be for chunk plays (22.5 YPR in 2025).
NFL DFS WR Fade for Thanksgiving
Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,100
I’m going to get slightly bold here, and I was a bit reluctant to put Flowers in here, but he’s not a free square simply because he’s facing the Bengals. Yes, he has at least five targets and 58 yards in all four games since Lamar Jackson has returned from injury, but it’s not necessarily the wide receiver position that has killed this Cincinnati defense.
- Most fantasy points per game to RBs, 2nd-most receiving yards to RBs, and most receiving TDs to RBs
- Most receptions, yards, TDs, and fantasy points per game to tight ends.
When it comes to wide receivers, the Bengals have allowed the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts. Furthermore, since Jackson has returned, two-thirds of Flowers’ routes have come on the perimeter, and only the Texans and Dolphins have allowed fewer fantasy points per game to perimeter wideouts this season, per FantasyPoints Data.
NFL Thanksgiving WR Play of The Week
Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $8,000 | FanDuel: $9,500
Chase will return from suspension, and Joe Burrow returns at QB for the Bengals. Tee Higgins will miss this game, and against the Ravens last year, with no Higgins, Chase caught 11 of 17 targets for 264 yards and three touchdowns. He had at least 10 receptions, 193 yards, and two touchdowns in both games against Baltimore last year, and for his career, he’s averaged 120.3 yards and one touchdown per game against Baltimore! Chase has performed better against zone coverage than man coverage, but he has an excellent 2.02 yards per route run, 0.52 fantasy points per route run, and 0.38 targets per route run against single-high safety looks this season, which is something Baltimore deploys at one of the highest rates in the NFL.
