As always, we have our main waiver article that covers every position at the surface level. But Fantasy Alarm members often play in deep leagues that require additional levels of research and nuance. That’s where this article comes in. We take things a step further to look at those deep streamers you might need to keep your team afloat. And we also look at the top stashes who might not be able to help us right now, but could contribute to a championship down the road!

Best Fantasy Football Streamers and Stashes For Week 7

What is a Streamer?

A streamer is a player that you can actually start in your lineup currently. They might not be the flashiest players, but they won’t get you a zero. In deeper leagues with a lot of starting spots, you may need to call on them from time to time - especially when bye weeks and injuries come around.

What is a Stash?

The stashes are players that have appealing upside for one reason or another, but aren’t reliable guys you can start now. Maybe they are injured, and you can put them in an IR spot. Maybe they are handcuffs that could have big upside if the starter gets hurt. Maybe they are rookies who need time to develop and carve out a role. Whatever it is, we want to keep an eye on them. And stash them on deep benches.

NFL Week 7 Quarterback Streamers

Sam Darnold - Seattle Seahawks Yahoo: 38% | ESPN: 23% | Sleeper: 50%

We’re still prioritizing Jaxson Dart as a stash and Trevor Lawrence, as we mentioned in the main article. But Sam Darnold has served us pretty well as a streamer these last couple of weeks. He might not come out and throw for ~300 yards and multiple TDs against Houston, but he’s actually given us 18 or more fantasy points in five straight games. It helps that Jaxon Smith-Njigba is playing some of the best football in the league right now.

Aaron Rodgers - Pittsburgh Steelers Yahoo: 20% | ESPN: 14% | Sleeper: 26%

This is a pretty weird offense, no doubt about that. But Aaron Rodgers clearly has a connection with DK Metcalf. The weird tight end usage allows these guys to sneak out for easy touchdowns. And both backs can make things happen, catching the ball out of the backfield. Rodgers might not even need to do a whole lot to give you a floor against the Cincinnati Bengals

NFL Week 7 Quarterback Stashes

Jaxson Dart - New York Giants Yahoo: 32% | ESPN: 35% | Sleeper: 45%

Dart is still our number one stash. He’s got a pretty tough matchup this week with Denver if we can avoid starting him here. But his mobility creates upside that could make him a stud down the stretch in better matchups. Plus, this guy is fun to have on your team.

J.J. McCarthy - QB Minnesota Vikings Yahoo: 30%| ESPN: 30% | Sleeper: 28%

Yes, McCarthy did start slow. But guys start slow all the time, at every position. There is still an upside case in an offense that has Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and (eventually) Aaron Jones. Do we trust this guy to start for us right now? Heck no. Do we want to see what it looks like as the season rolls on? Yes.

NFL Week 7 Running Back Streamers

Kendre Miller - New Orleans Saints Yahoo: 34% | ESPN: 25% | Sleeper: 44%

Alvin Kamara still starts and handles the pass-work. But it’s become clear that they want Kendre Miller to help carry the load, especially between the tackles. Miller has now gotten 5 carries in every game and at least seven in the last four. He typically catches a pass here or there as well. In half PPR of standard leagues, Miller offers a decent floor.

Kenneth Gainwell - New York Jets Yahoo: 42% | ESPN: 57% | Sleeper: 60%

In full PPR leagues, you might want to look for Kenneth Gainwell. Even with Jaylen Warren back, he maintained his role handling a bunch of the pass duties. And, with the super low aDot approach of Aaron Rodgers this year, he’s now caught six passes in back-to-back weeks. He also has the added benefit of being a Jaylen Warren handcuff - we saw what he could do with his 30-point performance against Minnesota when Warren was out.

Tyler Allgeier RB, Atlanta FalconsYahoo: 35%| ESPN: 33% | Sleeper: 39%

Allgeier is always going to be there as a streaming option. He always hovers around 30% rostered to league depth matters, but they try to keep Bijan Robinson fresh by working him in. That often means 8-10 touches.

NFL Week 7 Running Back Stashes

Isaiah Davis RB, New York JetsYahoo: 4%| ESPN: 5% | Sleeper: 10%

Braelon Allen is out for what likely amounts to the rest of the fantasy football season. The Jets are struggling big time, and they just lost Garrett Wilson for a bit. That could have been what inspired Breece Hall to make an Instagram post that seemingly implies he’d like to be traded. If the Jets don’t plan to pay him, they should consider getting something for him if they can. And, after what Saquon Barkley did for the Eagles last season, certain teams should be interested in acquiring Hall.

Blake Corum RB, Los Angeles Rams Yahoo: 14%| ESPN: 13% | Sleeper: 19%

For a long time, we’ve had DJ Giddens as the top RB stash. And we’re still interested in his upside if something were to happen. But, as you’ll see below, we’re a bit nervous all of a sudden with the recent development in Indianapolis. So Corum is out top pure handcuff stash in the highly consolidated offense in Los Angeles.

DJ Giddens RB, Indianapolis ColtsYahoo: 2%| ESPN: 2% | Sleeper: 8%

DJ Giddens is still a great stash, as I believe he would get the bulk of the work if something happened to Taylor. But Ameer Adbullah quietly played a little bit a took a couple of touches this week for Indianapolis while Giddens got none. That, along with Tyler Goodson lurking in the shadows, makes Giddens a little bit less of a lock to dominate the touches the way Taylor has if something were to happen.

NFL Week 7 Wide Receiver Streamers

Kendrick Bourne - San Francisco 49ers Yahoo: 36% | ESPN: 37% | Sleeper: 52%

Bourne was our top streamer last week, and he will continue to be on that radar until at least two wide receivers for the 49ers are fully healthy. Being the WR3 on this team is not great, but if you are in a top-two chair, good things happen.

Jordan Whittington - Los Angeles Rams Yahoo: 1%| ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 2%

Here’s what the Rams have been doing at wide receiver. When everyone is healthy, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams play the full snaps. For the WR3 spot, Jordan Whittington skews more towards split end duties, especially when blocking is required. Tutu Atwell skews more towards being the speedy field stretcher. If Puka Nacua is out, I expect Whittington to step up into a much bigger role here. If Tutu Atwell is out again with this hamstring issue, that role would be massive. If that happens, Konata Mumpfield or Xavier Smith would be looking at work.

Josh Reynolds - New York Jets Yahoo: 0%| ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 2%

This is not a sexy play by any means. But Allen Lazard has been banged up, and now Garrett Wilson is set to miss a couple of weeks. That moves Josh Reynolds from his WR2 spot to the Jets' WR1 spot by default. This is why we are still happy to hold onto Mason Taylor

Alec Pierce - Indianapolis Colts Yahoo: 7%| ESPN: 2% | Sleeper: 11%

Alec Pierce continues to play a massive snap share for one of the hottest teams in football. Because of his role as the field stretcher, he is a bit “boom/bust”. But in this range of players, there really aren’t many guys who can “boom” at all. So this is the kind of guy we throw out there and hope he catches one of his deep targets this week.

NFL Week 7 Wide Receiver Stashes

Jalen Coker - Carolina PanthersYahoo: 13%| ESPN: 10% | Sleeper: 18%

Our philosophy has not changed here. After Tetairoa McMillan, the Panthers' pass-catchers have been terrible or hurt or some combination of the two. There’s a chance Coker comes back and claims an immediate role with a decent target share. I’m holding to see.

Luther Burden - Chicago BearsYahoo: 12%| ESPN: 8% | Sleeper: 25%

We were already stashing Luther Burden  - he’s been in this article most weeks. This week, he went out and had four catches on his limited snap share. The limited snaps are holding us back. But DJ Moore was admitted to the hospital following the game, and we are waiting to hear what that is all about. Hopefully, Moore is fine, but anything that keeps him out would likely elevate Burden.

Tory Horton - Seattle SeahawksYahoo: 7%| ESPN: 5% | Sleeper: 16%

This theory remains the same for us, as it does from week to week with our deeper stashes. Klint Kubiak’s offense is not a good setup for the WR3. They use the fullback and a bunch of tight ends. But Horton has flashed every chance he’s gotten. If anything were to happen to JSN or Cooper Kupp, now he’s in one of those two WR chairs, and the upside is big right away. So he’s only a stash, but one that is a handcuff for two players.

NFL Week 7 Tight End Streamers

Cade Otton - Tampa Bay BuccaneersYahoo: 12% | ESPN: 9% | Sleeper: 12%

We don’t love the long-term upside for Cade Otton as this team has at least three great wide receivers and two serviceable ones. Right now, however, four of those five guys are dealing with injuries. That pretty much forces Otton into an elevated role and target share, which puts him on our streaming radar for the foreseeable future. He’s now gotten 4, 5, and 6 targets over the last three weeks.

Chig Okonkwo - Tennessee Titans Yahoo: 25%| ESPN: 12% | Sleeper: 20%

This is a bit of an interesting development lately for Okonkwo. They have been mixing Gunnar Helm in which is generally not good for Okonkwo, as his snap share has been trending down for three straight weeks. Yet he’s still maintained his decent enough floor and even caught the most passes he’s had all year this past week. This week, he gets a plus matchup vs. the New England Patriots, where he may be worth a stream.

NFL Week 7 Tight End Stashes

Oronde Gadsden Jr - Los Angeles Chargers Yahoo: 1% | ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 4%

We really don’t want to have to start Gadsden just yet if we can avoid it. And we do like the other main article options of Mason Taylor and Harold Fannin better. But there’s something here with this player. And merely one wide receiver injury could put Gadsden in a much more consistent and reliable spot for fantasy. So we’re trying to find a spot for him.

Theo Johnson - New York Giants Yahoo: 22%| ESPN: 16% | Sleeper: 17%

We still like the main article options better. And we definitely don’t want to start Johnson this week against the Denver Broncos, just like we didn’t want to start him against the Eagles last week (arguably the worst matchup for tight ends). Johnson has still gotten at least four targets in every game since Malik Nabers went down, though, and this team is hurting at WR, so there’s long-term upside there.

Elijah Arroyo - Seattle Seahawks Yahoo: 2%| ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 6%

We like Elijah Arroyo better long-term than AJ Barner. He’s more athletic, and he can also play split end. But he’s also a rookie, and Barner is the far better blocker. If anything were to happen to Barner, now Arroyo would graduate to a much bigger role in a fairly highly consolidated offense. It’s really for deep leagues only.
