The fantasy football playoffs giveth, and the fantasy football playoffs taketh away. Some major injuries occurred this weekend to some of the biggest stars in the NFL. Between that, and some of the highest scoring performances of the year from various players, round 2 of the playoffs is likely in a much different spot than many expected.

Let’s dive in.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes unfortunately suffered a torn ACL this weekend, ending his season and putting the start of the 2026 season in doubt. Kansas City was also eliminated from playoff contention. This is a huge hit, as Mahomes returned to being an elite fantasy asset in 2025.

Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

Pete Carroll declined to give any major update on Smith on Monday, leading me to believe it’s more likely than not that he’s inactive this weekend against the Texans. Practice reports will likely tell most of the story here, but I’m expecting Kenny Pickett to get another start.

Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed today that Daniels will be shut down for the remainder of the season. Daniels had a tough sophomore campaign in the NFL, and this unceremonious end to the season means Marcus Mariota will likely be the starter the rest of the way.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Running Backs

Woody Marks, Houston Texans

12/20 UPDATE

As of Thursday, Marks has not been spotted at practice. However, Marks did practice in a limited capacity. Chubb practiced in full on Thursday and Friday despite a questionable tag on the injury report, so I’m expecting him to take the lead role once again.

In his first chance to be the true workhorse, Marks ultimately left the contest with an ankle injury and did not return. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said he could’ve returned, but they were already down heavily. Jahwar Jordan had 100 yards in relief of Marks and may be the best option should Chubb and Marks not be able to return this weekend.

Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints

12/20 UPDATE

Neal has been placed on injured reserve. Looks like Evan Hull and Audric Estime will lead the back field for the rest of the way.

Neal suffered a hamstring injury and left Sunday’s game against the Panthers. With Kamara and Neal both injured, the Saints may turn to Evan Hull and Audric Estime next week, and maybe some increased work for Taysom Hill.

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints

12/20 UPDATE

Kamara has not returned to practice at this point. While he’s avoided IR, I’m not expecting him to play this week or next, likely ending his season for fantasy.

Bhayshul Tuten, Jacksonville Jaguars

12/20 UPDATE

Tuten has not practiced due to a finger injury. He has been ruled out and the backfield seems to belong to Travis Etienne again, giving him a chance to follow up on his three-touchdown game last week.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Wide Receivers

Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears

12/20 UPDATE

Odunze has been ruled out this weekend. This was expected after his re-aggravation of his heel injury.

Odunze was expected to play, but aggravated his heel injury in pre-game warmups and was ultimately inactive. Chicago faces Green Bay this week, with a chance to separate at the top of the NFC North, so Odunze’s absence will certainly be felt. Head coach Ben Johnson has stated that all options are on the table at this point.

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears

12/20 UPDATE

Burden has been ruled out for this weekend. Chicago will be without two of its top receivers this week.

Burden suffered an ankle injury Sunday and is day-to-day, per head coach Ben Johnson. This would be a major hit to the offense, with Odunze also likely being out this Saturday. DJ Moore becomes a fringe WR2 if both are out.

Drake London, Atlanta Falcons

12/20 UPDATE

London has been practicing in a limited fashion with his knee injury. That said, he’s expected to play, but I would be cautious.

After missing time with his knee injury, London is currently expected to return to action this weekend. We will need to keep an eye on injury reports throughout the week, but the team is very hopeful that he’ll return to action.

Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers

12/20 UPDATE

Johnston has returned to practice in a limited fashion as he attempts to return from a groin injury. He's listed as questionable on the injury report after three limited practice sessions this week.

Johnston was inactive this weekend with a groin injury, and his status for this coming weekend is also in the air. The Chargers struggled to move the ball, but also eliminated the Chiefs from playoff contention in their win. Johnston’s return to the lineup makes the offense more dynamic, so they’re likely hoping he can return this weekend.

Marvin Harrison, Arizona Cardinals

12/20 UPDATE

Harrison has been practicing in a limited fashion. He’s currently expected to play, but Michael Wilson could still see increased work.

Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals

12/20 UPDATE

Higgins appears to still be in concussion protocol but practiced in full Friday. I’m expecting him to miss this weekends game though he’s listed as questionable, as this is appearing to truly be a multi-week issue after his second concussion in three weeks.

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

12/20 UPDATE

Lamb has missed practice this week with an illness. Though he’s missed time, I’m fully expecting him to be active this weekend.

Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs

12/20 UPDATE

Rice is in concussion protocol and has not practiced at this point. I’m expecting him to be ruled out this weekend.

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

12/20 UPDATE

Evans has been missing practice this week, but it is with a rest designation on top of the collarbone. I’m not expecting him to miss this game and he should be good to go this weekend.

Garrett Wilson, New York Jets

12/20 UPDATE

Wilson has officially been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Tough news, but managers likely expected that at this point.

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers

Watson suffered a chest/shoulder injury and had to be taken to the hospital as a result. He has since been released and is returning to Green Bay, but his status for Saturday is up in the air.

Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams

Adams aggravated the hamstring injury he was dealing with, and as a result, left the contest. He’s also unlikely to play Thursday, but has not been ruled out at this time. Monitor reports here throughout the week.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Tight Ends

Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills

12/20 UPDATE

Kincaid has missed practices this week with his knee injury but is practicing Friday. The hamstring seems to no longer be an issue, but the knee issue might have worsened after this past weekend. His status is unknown, and even if he plays it may be limited snaps.

Mason Taylor, New York Jets

12/20 UPDATE

Taylor has been out of practice with a neck injury, and is expected to miss this game. Expect Adonai Mitchell to continue to operate as the top pass catcher in the offense, but John Metchie should see increased work as well.

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns

12/20 UPDATE

Njoku is not practicing Friday and it’s looking like he will be inactive yet again. Harold Fannin remains a fringe TE1 option.
