Few words in sports cause goosebumps racing up your spine quite like “Game 7”. We are spoiled today because we have TWO of them with spots in the Conference Finals on the line. The New York Knicks host the Indiana Pacers in a series that all six games have been won by the home team in the Eastern Conference and the defending NBA Champion Denver Nuggets are home against the Minnesota Timberwolves. A place where the Timberwolves have already won twice this series.

Indiana Pacers NBA DFS Breakdown

Can someone win a road game? If not, this is the Knicks game again.

Starters: Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith, Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner

Bench: T.J. McConnell, Ben Sheppard, Obi Toppin, Isaiah Jackson

Tyrese Haliburton is fine at 8.5K but nothing I’m overly excited about playing. T.J. McConnell has an elite GPP upside, but what will his minutes look like in a Game 7?

Andrew Nembhard continues to be very solid for Indiana and Aaron Nesmith’s shot is not falling. I prefer the cheaper Nembhard. Ben Sheppard is a punt.

I’ll continue to talk about how good Pascal Siakam is when not being defended by OG Anunoby. Anunoby MIGHT be back, but at what percent? He’s posted a usage rate of 32% or better in three of his last four games. I have to say, Obi Toppin hasn’t been great the last two games, but his price is back under 4K.

Myles Turner has been as consistent as can be lately putting up at least 30 DKP in the last four games. Isaiah Jackson is a tournament play.

Top Play(s): Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner, Andrew Nembhard, Tyrese Haliburton

Secondary Play(s): T.J. McConnell

Punt(s)Obi Toppin, Isaiah Jackson

UPDATE - Josh Hart & OG Anunoby are playing and starting.

The Knicks, at the time of this writing, are a big question mark. Josh Hart and OG Anunoby questionable tags are insanely important pieces.

Starters: Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, Isaiah Hartenstein

Bench: Miles McBride, Precious Achiuwa, Alec Burks

Jalen Brunson has been a god at home this entire series, so no matter what happens with everyone else, Brunson is a lock.

Miles McBride is in a very interesting spot because he is the one player most impacted by the injury news. He’ll come off the bench if Hart and Anunoby play. He’ll start if one sits, and play 48 minutes if both sit. I think he’s still OK if both guys play because there’s no guarantee Anunoby and Hart can play normal minutes.

Donte DiVincenzo is solid at 7K. Less solid if they’re getting Anunoby back, however. Alec Burks could find himself out of the mix if OG Anunoby returns and could play 30+ if he and Hart sit. I’m probably out on both Josh Hart and OG Anunoby in anything other than GPPs if they’re in and we’d have to know if there were any limits on Anunoby.

It’s been a mixed bag for Isaiah Hartenstein in terms of production this series BUT, he’s been great at home. Precious Achiuwa remains a solid option off the Knicks bench while OG Anunoby’s been out. Will be limited if OG plays.

Top Play(s): Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo (GPPs), Isaiah Hartenstein

Secondary Play(s): Josh Hart, Miles McBride

Punt(s): TBD

Minnesota Timberwolves NBA DFS Breakdown

This Game 7 is arguably one of the most interesting series we’ve had in recent memory. The defending champions have a chance to get back to the Conference Finals on their home floor, a place they’ve lost TWICE this series. Can Minnesota do it AGAIN?

Starters: Mike Conley, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert

Bench: Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Naz Reid, Kyle Anderson

Mike Conley is very, very important to everything Minnesota does offensively. We saw how important he is to Anthony Edwards specifically so someone else can work on the ball and Edwards isn’t doubled nearly as much because he’s not handling as much. Conley, even with an injured calf, is a solid option. If he can’t make it through the whole game, Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a value at 3.8K.

Anthony Edwards is elite with Mike Conley in. He’s OK with Mike Conley out. Plain and simple.

We saw what Jaden McDaniels CAN look like when he scores the rock, but getting his Game 6 performance again seems unlikely. That said, he has a 40-minute ceiling and can score at times.

The front-court rotation for Minnesota has been frustrating for sure. Karl-Anthony Towns simply needs to stay out of foul trouble. Rudy Gobert needs to make more (any) free throws. Will the real Naz Reid please stand up? He’s been great in three games and looked like he shouldn’t be on the floor in the other three.

Top Play(s)Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, Naz Reid (GPPs), Mike Conley

Secondary Play(s): Rudy Gobert, Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Punt(s)Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Denver Nuggets NBA DFS Breakdown

After taking a 3-2 lead into Minnesota for Game 6, things couldn’t have gone worse for them in Game 6. But, here’s the thing. The Defending champions are exactly that for a reason. They battled back from what seemed like an impossible 2-0 deficit and here we are.

Starters: Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, Nikola Jokic

Bench: Reggie Jackson, Christian Braun, Justin Holiday

If you remember what Game 5 of the Lakers series looked like, their close-out game, nobody off the bench really played. In fact, four starters played 40+ minutes and Reggie Jackson played double-figures.

If Jamal Murray’s calf allows him, he’ll play 40+ here, but will the shooting woes continue? He’s a GPP play that has a crazy high ceiling at 7.5K.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is cheaper than he’s been this entire series and has started to shoot the ball better the past couple of games. Christian Braun is an option that Denver *could* turn to to close games if they need his defense compared to Michael Porter Jr.’s offensive-minded approach.

Speaking on Michael Porter Jr., Denver HAS to get him going. He’s been awful for much of the series and we saw in Game 3 what it means for Denver when he’s making shots and spacing the floor for them. Aaron Gordon has been Denver’s second best player this series and they’ll need him to continue to be in form for Game 7. He’s a solid cash and tournament play.

Nikola Jokic. Game 7. All in for DFS.

Top Play(s): Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray (GPPs), Aaron Gordon

Secondary Play(s)Michael Porter Jr., Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
