Here we are, for most the fantasy playoffs start tonight with the Vikings facing off against the Cardinals in a matchup that features many fantasy studs including one player who made this week’s Flavor of the Week list after a breakout performance in Week 13 thanks to his new starting job.  With that said, let’s take a look at all the players who topped the most added charts heading into Week 14.

Quarterbacks

Tyrod Taylor, BUF – Taylor made my FAAB Report article on Tuesday and fantasy owners agreed as they made him one of the top two added quarterbacks heading into Week 14.  Taylor is coming off of back-to-back games with three touchdown passes and last week he added a rushing touchdown as well.  In Week 14 Taylor will face an Eagles secondary that has been torched by opposing defenses all season long which should result in another big fantasy week.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, NYJ – At this point I might as well be president of the Ryan Fitzpatrick fan club seeing as I have touted him nearly every week as a QB to add given the receiving weapons at his disposal and he rarely has disappointed.  Fantasy owners are finally beginning to listen as Fitzy has ranked among the top two added QBs over the past few weeks.  Under Fitzpatrick’s quarterbacking the Jets are on pace to have two 1,000 yard receivers with Brandon Marshall already with 1,062 yards and Eric Decker not too far behind him after not having a single 1,000 yard receiver since 2007.  Fitzpatrick himself is on pace to set new career highs in yards and touchdown passes as currently sits with 2,866 yards and 22 touchdowns.  A matchup against the Titans awaits Fitzpatrick and it should lead to another productive fantasy day as they have allowed eight passing touchdowns over the past two weeks.

Running Backs

David Johnson, ARI – Johnson got the start as expected in Week 13 and he did not disappoint, rushing for 99 yards and added two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown.  Johnson is again going to start for the Cardinals on Thursday night and draws a favorable matchup against a Vikings defense that has allowed three straight 100-yard rushers.

Shaun Draughn, SF – Draughn has been one of the more highly used players in football over the past few weeks as he has seen just about 20 touches a game in both the running and passing attack.  In PPR leagues Draughn has been a huge boost for those who were hit by the injury bug and needed a replacement with 18 catches over the past three weeks.  In Week 14 Draughn will face off against a Browns defense that has allowed the eighth most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season including 126 yards and a touchdown last week against Bengals backs.

Wide Receivers

Doug Baldwin, SEA –  Baldwin continues to prove that his recent burst of production is no fluke after catching two more touchdown passes in Week 13 to give him six over the previous four games.  Since the bye week Baldwin is averaging six catches on eight targets for 108 yards per game which would rank him among the top scoring fantasy receivers in football.  A very favorable matchup against a porous Ravens secondary awaits Baldwin and the Seahawks' newfound passing attack which should lead to another big day.

DeVante Parker, MIA- The Miami offense attempted just 18 passes on Sunday against the Ravens but Parker saw five of those attempts and converted three of them for 63 yards and his second touchdown in as many weeks.  The new focus of the Dolphins offense appears to be run heavy but passing the football is what will win most weeks and the Dolphins rookie looks primed for a solid finish to his rookie season.

Tight Ends

Scott Chandler, NE – Chandler did not disappoint those owners who were looking to replace the injured Rob Gronkowski as he caught four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown against an Eagles defense that has done well to defend opposing tight ends this season.  Over the past two weeks Chandler has caught nine passes for 119 yards and two scores and with Gronk still expected to be out for Week 14 against the Texans, Chandler should again be heavily targeted in the passing attack which leads to more scoring opportunities.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TB – ASJ was active for the first time since Week 2 last Sunday but was on the field for just about 30 percent of the team’s snaps.  While the Buccaneers certainly were limiting him in his first game back he still managed to catch three passes on six targets for 31 yards.  With one week under his belt the Buccaneers should feel comfortable allowing ASJ to play more snaps which should lead to big production against a Saints defense that has ranked among the league’s worst against the pass this season.
