POINT GUARDS

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1Russell WestbrookOKC3Westbrook continues to produce at a very high rate and is a constant rebounding threat.
2
Chris Paul
LAC3With the Clippers' frontcourt raw offensively and injured, the offense will continue to run through the guards and Chris Paul. They have seen a ton of success running through the guards.
3Kyle LowryTOR3Lowry continues to be the Raptors' top scoring option and is excellent at maintaining his dribble as he waits for the lane to open up.
4John WallWSH4Wall's assist numbers should improve with other options returning from injuries. That should keep the turnovers down (we hope).
5Damian LillardPOR3Lillard is the most aggressive lane driver and jump shooter and the rest of the team clears the lane so he can create.
6Reggie JacksonDET4Jackson continues to dominate at both guard spots and is a very diciplined shooter. He has great driving ability.
7Kemba WalkerCHA3With the Hornets really banged up, Walker is the top and only reliable offensive weapon and will continue to take a ton of shots.
8Isaiah ThomasBOS4Thomas continues to be the Celtics' top scoring option and has been excellent at finding the open man when he gets doubled.
9Rajon RondoSAC4Rondo continues to stay healthy and make the Kings look exciting with great passing and a quicker offensive attack.
10Mike ConleyMEM3Conley has been patient and is using his agility to drive in and out of the lane. He does not get as many open looks and resorts to passing.
11Stephen CurryGSW2We love Curry! But the problem is he only has two games this week.
12Derrick RoseCHI4We hate Rose! It is so hard to tell on a per-game basis whether he is in or out of the lineup.
13Jeff TeagueATL4Teague knows he is in a timeshare situation and has been able to drive the lane and utilize his floater consistently to contribute on offense.
14Jrue HolidayNO4Holiday looks healthy compared to the rest of his team and has been seeing a lot more minutes and the offense has been running through him. Expect a ton of production from him.
15George HillIND4Hill is an excellent spot-up shooter and is good at faking out his defender and taking advantage of the open lane.
16Tony ParkerSAS4Parker is not that exciting but is excellent at reading screens and driving the lane.
17Ish SmithPHI3Trading for Smith has made the 76ers look brilliant. He has been responsible for speeding up the offense and has been a consistent passer.
18Deron WilliamsDAL4Williams will not take a ton of shots, but he will always find the open player inside and he will hit a spot-up long range jumper. He has become a quiet producer.
19Ricky RubioMIN3Rubio is a reliable passer, but he has become an unreliable shooter and needs to focus on passing and then crashing the boards and getting loose balls.
20Michael Carter-WilliamsMIL3Carter-Williams is a good rebounder and lane driver, and will only shoot when open due to there being better mid-range and low-post options.

SHOOTING GUARDS

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1James HardenHOU3The offense continues to run solely through Harden and the Rockets struggle to find their secondary game.
2
Jimmy Butler
CHI4Though the Bulls offense runs differently with Derrick Rose in and out of the lineup, Butler has been able to utilize his inside game and relieve Pau Gasol on the other side of the post.
3Dwyane WadeMIA4With the Heat lacking frontcourt depth, Wade will be counted on to for his driving ability and mid-range jump shooting.
4Kyrie IrvingCLE4Irving continues to work his way back in the lineup and is starting to show flashes of his good shooting and quick driving ability.
5Gordon HaywardUT4Hayward continues to be Utah's top shooter and is excellent at creating space for himself.
6Bradley BealWSH4Beal continues working his way back into the Wizards' lineup and is often left open at the elbow.
7Victor OladipoORL4Oladipo is good at driving the lane but he has had a bit of a problem finishing and has not been seeing the open looks he is used to.
8Tyreke EvansNO4Evans' knee is a little banged up, but when he has the ball the probability of him passing decreases.
9C.J. McCollumPOR3McCollum has been seeing a lot more mid-range jumper opportunities, and has been passing off more than driving the lane. He is the clear No. 2 option for the Blazers.
10Goran DragicMIA4INJURY CONCERN: (Calf): Dragic's minutes could be limited this week as he finally has returned to the court.
11Avery BradleyBOS4Bradley has been shooting very well and is getting a lot of open looks from inside and outside the arc. When Thomas drives the lane, he is often open for the kick out.
12Will BartonDEN4With the Nuggets lacking an offensive attack, Barton is the No. 2 scoring option and does have a post game. When he starts in the post he sees a lot more success than when he just gets the ball and fires.
13Klay ThompsonGSW2We all know how good of a jump shooter Thompson is, but unfortunately he only has two games.
14Joe JohnsonBKN4Joe Johnson is technically the No. 1 scoring option on this inconsistent Nets team, but it seems that Brook Lopez is becoming the more reliable shooter.
15Kentavious Caldwell-PopeDET4KCP gets his fair share of the offense but has been a scrappy defender and gets a lot of steals.
16Nicolas BatumCHA3INJURY CONCERN: (Toe): The Hornets need to do everyone a favor and put this guy on the injured list already. He is clearly not able to put pressure on his foot.
17Kobe BryantLAL3INJURY CONCERN: (Shoulder): Injuries always seem to be a concern for Bryant, but when he is on the court, he will shoot as much as he pleases.
18Rodney HoodUT4Hood has been impressive as he has broken through Utah's rotation and has become a reliable long-range scoring option for them.
19Monta EllisIND4Ellis continues to be a good change of pace player for the Pacers and gets to show his offensive skills with the second unit.
20J.J. RedickLAC3Redick always moves on the court and does not need any kind of footing to shoot the ball with confidence and consistency.

SMALL FORWARDS

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1LeBron JamesCLE4James is the top SF of the week due to having four games and the Cavs' up-tempo offense seems to be working.
2
Kevin Durant
OKC3Durant continues to stay healthy and be productive and he manages to always get open looks from long range because of his quickness to get around traffic.
3Paul GeorgeIND4George continues to stay healthy and work many positions and roles for the Pacers. He continues to be their top scoring option.
4Carmelo AnthonyNY4Anthony is back in the lineup and it looks like his knee injury is behind him and he has been a more consistent rebounder.
5Kawhi LeonardSAS4Leonard has been playing more inside and taking advantage of long rebounds. Leonard is also a great defender on the ball and in the post.
6DeMar DeRozanTOR3DeRozan has been seeing a lot more success offensively and that is because he is finding his opening on the elbow and taking jumpers instead of always driving into traffic and attempting to draw contact.
7Rudy GaySAC4Gay is over his heel injury and is back to being the Kings' top shooting option when DeMarcus Cousins is triple teamed in the high post.
8Khris MiddletonMIL3Middleton not only gets it done from a scoring stand point, but he has also been a consistent rebounder and assist man for the Bucks.
9Danilo GallinariDEN4Gallinari continues to be the Nuggets' top scoring option and is never afraid to drive the lane.
10Andrew WigginsMIN3Wiggins is another player who has been driving the lane more and has been wating in the lane and trying to tap the ball out so the team retains posession.
11Giannis AntetokounmpoMIL3It is hard to tell when the Greek Freak will have a big scoring night, but he always produces in other categories and is rarely in danger of losing playing time.
12Kent BazemoreATL4Bazemore is a reliable post player and has taken his fair share of the jumpers per game.
13Thaddeus YoungBKN4Young has been getting into trouble with getting trapped, but he does have a good turnaround jumper that has gotten him out of jams.
14Chandler ParsonsDAL4Parsons has been very reliable on offense and has picked up a lot more playing time and shot opportunties.
15Jae CrowderBOS4Crowder has playing time on his side because he is a good perimeter defender and he drives the lane aggresively. It is hard to tell how many shots he is likely to get per game.
16Marcus MorrisDET4Morris has been great at calling for the ball in the post and using his strength to power through the lane and draw contact. He has a good mid-range jumper and does not seem as much in a time-share at the position
17Otto PorterWSH4Porter is good in the post when he lines up there. When Wall and Beal are healthy, he is more the screen setter from the middle and not as involved in the offense.
18Trevor ArizaHOU3Ariza is an excellent defender and can hit the open spot-up jumper. He struggles when it comes to isolation and the ball needs to be out of his hands when he doesn't have positioning.
19Matt BarnesMEM3Barnes has been able to carve out his own role on this team and has been excellent at driving the lane and drawing the extra defender. He does have success on offense with a baby jumper.
20Harrison BarnesGSW2Barnes is a solid perimeter defender and is somewhat involved in the offense when the second unit is on the floor.

POWER FORWARDS

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1Anthony DavisNO4While Davis is still a dominant stat-sheet filler, his aggresiveness has not been the same and he looks a little banged up.
2
Paul Millsap
ATL4Excellent post player with a good step-in-the-middle jumper. He is aggressive on defense as well.
3Kevin LoveCLE4Love playing more inside will benefit him on both sides of the ball. He has excellent footwork and a consistent jumper and post moves that are used far less in Cleveland than Minnesota.
4Pau GasolCHI4Gasol continues to dominate teams from the elbow and he uses his size to burn teams from the post.
5LaMarcus AldridgeSAS4With Tim Duncan ailing from leg injuries, Aldridge has gotten to show his high and low post game and has been excellent at splitting the defense in the lane.
6Greg MonroeMIL3Monroe continues to use excellent footwork and size to draw contact and get easy layups in the post.
7Chris BoshMIA4Bosh has been shooting well from long and mid range, but he will be needed more in the post with Hassan Whiteside ailing from injuries.
8Derrick FavorsUT4Favors is back in the lineup and so is his ability to score from all over the court inside the arc.
9Kristaps PorzingisNYK4Porzingis has been an excellent secondary weapon for Carmelo Anthony and has been excellent at following his own shots and crashing the boards. He is an excellent long-range shooter.
10Draymond GreenGSW2Green has been a triple-double machine and he is dominant in all aspects of the game. He is just not playing in many games this week.
11Tobias HarrisORL4Harris has become the Magic's most consistent long- and mid-range player and continues to create from the top of the paint. Alos, he has a reliable one-handed jumper.
12Dirk NowitzkiDAL4We all know how good of a shooter Nowitzki is, but with his recent knee issues and the Mavs recently joining the "Rest our Players" bandwagon, he could sit out a game or two.
13Serge IbakaOKC3When Ibaka gets the ball in the post, he is much more successful than when he gets the ball out on the elbow and shoots. He is a consistent rebounder and shot bloker, but he needs to utilize his assets better on offense.
14Kenneth FariedDEN4Faried makes a lot of plays inside and is excellent at crashing the boards. He is the Nuggets' most reliable rebounder.
15Zach RandolphMEM3Randolph has been an excellent mid-range player and low-post enforcer and rebounder. He has not been seeing as much playing time.
16Robert CovingtonPHI3Covington has shown that he is a reliable offensive weapon and has excellent footwork in the high post. He should be getting more looks so he can utilize his size.
17Jared SullingerBOS4Sullinger is one of the league's most reliable rebounders, but he does not have it together on the other side of the ball. He is good for put-backs.
18Tim DuncanSAS4INJURY CONCERN (Knee): When Duncan is in, he is effective and makes rebounding look easy, but his knee continues to keep him sidelined.
19Marvin WilliamsCHA3Williams has been quietly effective and has been improving in rebounding and has had games lately in which he has shown his ability on offense. He is needed with the Hornets' frontcourt ailing from injuries.
20Markieff MorrisPHX3THIS IS IT FOR MORRIS! He has every opportunity to show his strength and play deep into games. The Suns are very hurt right now and by default he will be playing more minutes. He is not as productive as he should be and teams are turned off to him.

CENTERS

RANKNAMETeam# GamesAnalysis
1DeMarcus CousinsSAC4His knee is a little banged up but nothing too concerning. He is the most complete center in the league.
2
Andre Drummond
DET4Continues to play in the low post with presence and authority and is a consistently dominant rebounder.
3Al HorfordATL4Horford's defense is nothing to write home about, but he is the Hawks' most consistent offensive weapon and he can burn teams from the elbow and in the post.
4Nikola VucevicORL4Vucevic is also the Magic's lone post presence and has excellent footwork and moves well in the post.
5Karl-Anthony TownsMIN3Towns is as confident of a mid-range shooter as anyone in the league and is great in both the high and low post.
6DeAndre JordanLAC3Jordan is very raw offensively as put-back's and dunks are his forte on offense. On defense, he's aggressive and a consistent rebounder and shot blocker.
7Marc GasolMEM3Gasol has great range and runs a very smooth pick and roll from the top of the key. He has been very effective in the post as well.
8Brook LopezBKN4Lopez has been doing a better job rebounding and he is one of the best shooting centers in the league.
9Rudy GobertUT4Gobert is an aggressive post defender and he has good low post moves complete with a baby hook.
10Hassan WhitesideMIA4INJURY CONCERN: (Oblique): Whiteside is one of the most aggressive rebounding centers each week, but he has not been able to shake off health issues.
11Dwight HowardHOU3Howard is a big box of chocolates each week in that you never know which Howard will show up; the one who hides out on the key or the one who camps out in the paint?
12Marcin GortatWSH4With the Wizards' frontcourt depth still a bit hurt, Gortat is going to have to log a lot of playing time. He has been seeing more plays come his way in the post.
13Ryan AndersonNO4Anderson is a deadly long distance shooter and has been utiliing his size to post up in the paint. He is very effective if Anthony Davis is out.
14Zaza PachuliaDAL4INJURY CONCERN: (Leg): Not a huge concern, but it could limit his minutes a tad this week. He is the Mavs' best defensive player.
15Jonas ValanciunasTOR3He has said he is working on his mid-range jumper and that would add a great dimension to his overall game. He is a good rebounder and an improved post player already.
16Gorgui DiengMIN3Dieng is a quiet low block producer who is very good at keeping plays alive and going back up with the ball and drawing contact.
17Jahlil OkaforPHI3Okafor has been impressive, especially with his footwork and he has gotten more aggressive as the season has rolled on.
18Myles TurnerIND4Turner is really starting to eat into the Pacers' frontcourt playing time and has taken full advantage of Ian Mahinmi being in and out of the lineup.
19Nerlens NoelPHI3We need to see a little bit more from Noel on both sides of the ball but he has the ability to attack the lane from the middle of the court and has long arms and a good scoop lay-up.
20Andrew BogutGSW2Bogut is excellent at camping out in the lane and has a couple of impressive post moves for a guy his size.
