The Rockets have signed Christian Wood to a three-year deal worth $41 million according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Rockets and Wood have agreed to a deal, but the money is considerably more than the original report ($27 million). After failing to find a place where he could stick early in his career Wood had an excellent 2019-20 season in Detroit, averaging 13.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 3-pointers in just 21.4 minutes per game. Wood should start in Houston, officially signaling the end of the "microball" era. And this should also help P.J. Tucker, who was being used out of position. Nov 20 10:14 pm (EST)
