Time to jump into our NFL DFS Week 3 picks! Every week that passes affords us more information and more data which brings us another step closer to cashing in all of out cash games and GPP tournaments. We're learning more about offensive usage rates, play-calling tendencies, defensive schemes and how best to exploit the match-ups for our gain. That, in turn, will make tools such as our Weekly Rankings and DFS projections more useful in your research.

Last week, we began to identify which defenses struggled in coverage against the tight end which is a good thing to know when making your NFL DFS Week 3  picks. The big tone that stood out like a turd in a punchbowl was Tucker Kraft absolutely annihilating the Washington Commanders. They just couldn't stop him and even back-up tight end Luke Musgrave found his way into a couple of catches. If you look at our DvP Rankings (Defense vs Position), you'll see the Commanders are the sixth-worst at covering the tight end. We'll also be looking at the bottom-five as well for our matchups, but when you're wondering why we're all trying to jam Brock Bowers into our lineups, you'll know that it's more than just his name or status as the TE1 in seasonal fantasy football.

Again, it's still pretty early, so we have to look at more than just the raw data. We have to take all of that and adjust our projections and expectations in accordance with everything else we see from the coaches both before the game and during. It's a process, but one that we've been doing for some time and has made us a lot of money over the years.

Before hopping into our NFL DFS Week 3 picks, I always like to post the optimal lineups from the previous week's DFS Playbook. It's good to see our hits, but it also helps us understand where we fell short and how best to adjust our lineup construction. Contest selection is also a big thing but we'll save that lecture for another time.

Here are the top lineups we could have built just off the DFS Playbook and Dart Board:

Again, just trying to show you what could have been. We had plenty of hits as you can see, but we also whiffed on a few guys like Courtland Sutton, Tony Pollard, DeVonta Smith and Brenton Strange, but the process was correct. Th eplays just didn't pan out. That will happen each and every week. Remember, the DFS Playbook is supposed to help you whittle down the overall player pool. We still want to give you enough options at varying pricing tiers to help you construct your own lineups.

Now let's get to our NFL DFS Week 3 picks for the Watch List.
