MVP/CPT

De'Aaron Fox, PG (SAC) – In three of last five games, Fox has finished between 56 and 59 DK points as he continues to put at least 20 shots per night while also shooting 52% from the field in his last six games. Fox is also playing the role of distributor pretty well averaging seven assists per game over that stretch as he is proving the Kings right for having faith in him.

Domantas Sabonis, C (SAC) – Sabonis has been a double-double machine as of late (seven in a row), and he should make it eight tonight against a Knicks team that also played last night. The concern here is that the volume for Sabonis from a shot perspective hasn’t been there as of late (eight shots in two of his last four games and 10 in another), but his efficiency (58% over the past six games) has led to him averaging 17.2 points per game. Sabonis is adding 13.7 rebounds per game over that stretch, and 45 DK points per game certainly plays.

RJ Barrett, PG/SF (NYK) – After struggling from the field against Phoenix on Friday, Barrett recovered slightly as made eight of his 18 field goal attempts last night in Los Angeles. Thanks to the Knicks securing a rare blowout victory, Barrett was only on the court for 33 minutes in which he scored 24 points to go along with nine rebounds and four assists. He should be ready to go tonight against the Kings in what should be a relatively high scoring affair.

Util

Julius Randle, PF (NYK) – We know that big men generally do well against Sacramento, but Randle doesn’t spend all of his time in the paint so there isn’t a true correlation here. The fact that he only made four of his 16 shot attempts last night also gives me a little pause in relying too heavily on Randle, but his ceiling is as high as anyone’s.

Mitchell Robinson, C (NYK) – And this is how we want to target the Kings and their match-up woes in the post. Robinson picked up another double-double last night as he scored 12 points to go along with 11 rebounds in 26 minutes of action. For the most part, targeting big men against Sacramento has worked all season, so let’s keep it up.

Harrison Barnes, SF/PF (SAC) – In three of his last five games, Barnes has shown a strong ability to get to the free throw line which has contributed to his offensive success as of late. When he doesn’t, like Saturday’s game against Dallas, then we end up with just nine points from Barnes in 38 minutes of action compared to the 28 points he scored in the game prior. Barnes is a key part of Sacramento’s offense, and he has been impressive over his last six games averaging 19.3 points and five rebounds per game.

Donte DiVincenzo, SG/SF (SAC) – DiVincenzo continues to get heavy minutes for Sacramento as one of the first players off the bench for the Kings, but the problem is that he only made three shots in each of his last three games; in 28 attempts. From a DFS perspective, the production has been there thanks to just over six rebounds and a little over three assists. Thanks to his proficiency from downtown, DiVincenzo has still reached double figures in three of his last four games, and there is a good chance that continues tonight.

Alec Burks, PG/SG (NYK) – The Knicks continue to rely on Burks to start at the traditional point guard position, but regardless of that, he is going to play a critical role for them. In his last two games, Burks is averaging 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and five assists per game, and that workload isn’t going anywhere.

Immanuel Quickley, PG/SG (NYK) – It only makes sense that New York will continue to provide Quickley with the opportunity to show what he is capable, and lately, he certainly has been taking advantage of that. Last night, that resulted in a 21-point, 10 rebound effort against the Clippers in which Quickley also handed out six assists. In the past, Quickley has shown that he is capable of performing at this level, so it’s not a total surprise to see him playing at this level.

Justin Holiday, SG (SAC) – Holiday has found his way into the starting lineup for Sacramento, and in his last two games, that has meant 29 shot attempts. The fact that Holiday has only made nine of those shots does limit his value, but that also means potential is there as the workload and volume is as well.

Dart Throws

Cam Reddish, SF/PF (NYK) – Granted garbage time was in play last night, but in 23 minutes of action, we got to see a little bit of what Reddish is capable of. The forward scored 17 points which was in large part due to his ability to get to the free throw line and also to be successful there as he converted seven of his eight attempts. I would expect a similar workload tonight, and the better Reddish plays, the more minutes he should be receiving.

Damian Jones, C (SAC) – Jones is coming off a solid effort against the Spurs as he scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 20 minutes of action. The price is right here, so it’s worth a shot to see if Jones can duplicate the effort.

Davion Mitchell, PG/SG (SAC) – Mitchell has had stretches of success this season, but in his recent stretch of games, that has not been the case. The rookie is still going to play around 20 to 25 minutes a game, taking nine shots in three of his last four, so he does have that going for him. The opportunity is there for Mitchell, but he simply hasn’t proven to be up to it lately.
