This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you our favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

There will also be a daily MLB DFS Show with a variety of hosts ranging from myself, Jon Impemba, Howard Bender, and James Grande. The MLB DFS Show will give you an initial outlook on the day's MLB DFS slate and should give you a good base for the start of your research each day!

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

We have a less than stellar slate in terms of pitching options today.  We have a lot of mid-rotation or lower pitchers toeing the rubber today

High-end options include Ranger Suarez and Carlos Rodon.  The mid-range includes Chad Patrick and Nick Lodolo.  Paydown options are very risky for today’s slate.

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Ranger Suarez, Philadelphia Phillies - DraftKings $9,700 | FanDuel $10,700

Suarez has posted 10 straight quality starts.  He enters Saturday with 2.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 67 Ks in 72 IP.

Suarez enters this matchup against the Cincinnati Reds with decent but limited history against their hitters in the past.  He had one start against the Reds during the 2024 season.  He put up 46 FanDuel points and 28 DraftKings points.  Look for Suarez to continue his success against the Reds today.

Carlos Rodon, New York Yankees - DraftKings $10,000 | FanDuel $10,000

Rodon has returned to form this season.  He enters Saturday with 2.95 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 123 Ks in 106.2 IP.

Rodon enters this matchup against the New York Mets with hit or miss history against their hitters in the past.  He already has one start against the Mets during the 2025 season.  He put up 33 FanDuel points and 19.7 DraftKings points.  He did not pitch against the Mets during the 2024 season.  Look for Rodon to have another strong performance on Saturday.

Chad Patrick, Milwaukee Brewers - DraftKings $9,200 | FanDuel $8,800

Patrick has put together a solid rookie season.  He enters Saturday with 3.51 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 93 Ks in 89.2 IP.  

Patrick enters this matchup against the Miami Marlins with no history against their hitters in the past.  This is typically something that favors the pitcher.  Look for Patrick to be a solid mid-price option on Saturday.

 

 

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

It is a hitter friendly slate as we have a lot of mid-rotation or lower pitchers toeing the rubber today.  Feel free to mix and match your hitters across multiple lineups.

Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals should be the front runners in terms of top teams to stack.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Eugenio Suarez, Arizona Diamondbacks - DraftKings $4,900 | FanDuel $3,400 

Suarez has been on a tear as of late.  He has at least one hit in 10 of his last 13 games.  He has 5 multi hit games and 7 HRs during this stretch.

Suarez has good history in the past against expected Royals starting pitcher Michael Wacha.  He is 13 for 31 with 2 HRs against Wacha in his career.  Look for another strong performance out of Eugenio Suarez on Saturday.

Sal Frelick, Milwaukee Brewers - DraftKings $4,300 | FanDuel $3,200 

Frelick has been a solid option for this Brewers lineup.  He has hit safely in 10 of his last 14 games.  He has 7 multi hit games and 2 HRs during this time span. 

Frelick has good but limited history in the past against Marlins expected starting pitcher Cal Quantrill.  He is 1 for 1 vs Quantrill in his career.  Frelick looks like a solid one-of play or key piece of a Milwaukee Brewers stack for today’s slate.

Cody Bellinger, New York Yankees - DraftKings $4,600 | FanDuel $3,300

Bellinger looks like a solid value for today’s slate.  He is currently on a 10 game hitting streak.  He has 4 multi games and 3 HRs during that time span.

Bellinger is 2 for 5 against Frankie Montas, the expected starting pitcher for the New York Mets.  Look for another strong performance out of Cody Bellinger and the Yankees lineup on Saturday.

Bobby Witt, Kansas City Royals - DraftKings $5,400 | FanDuel $3,900 

Witt has been solid as of late.  He is currently on a 8 game hitting streak.  He has 4 multi hit games and 1 HR during this stretch.

Witt has good history in the past against expected Diamondbacks starting pitcher Ryne Nelson.  He is 3 for 5 against Nelson in his career.  Witt looks like a solid one-of play or key piece of a Kansas City Royals stack for today’s slate.
