Â
This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.
The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.
The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.
The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.
Tune into the MLB DFS Livestream at 5 PM ET to watch us break down today’s slate, give you last-minute advice, and answer any questions before locking in those lineups!

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers
Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups
Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Spencer Strider
Strider is back to looking like a dominant starting pitcher after a few shaky outings upon his initial return from the IL. As the top priced starter today he faces an Orioles lineup that does hit righties better than lefties but is still an offense that is underperforming and one that I think Strider should overpower here this evening.
Reese Olson
Olson is returning from the IL today after throwing 74 pitches in his final rehab outing. The Tigers righty was having a breakout season and will now get to return against a Guardians offense that is among the worst in baseball this season.Â
Quinn Priester
The Brewers may have gotten a steal when they traded with the Red Sox for Quinn Priester as the righty comes off a seven-shutout inning start where he struck out 11. He draws a matchup against a streaky Miami Marlins team that does have some bats starting to heat up but overall is an offense that ranks just in the middle of the pack of a lot of offensive categories.
Eduardo Rodriguez
Picking on the Royals continues to be a profitable play for us so why not challenge them today with a high strikeout upside lefty in Eduardo Rodriguez? The win equity here could be a bit limited with Kris Bubic on the mound for the Royals but if Rodriguez goes six innings with a handful of strikeouts we are good.
Adrian Houser
We mocked when the White Sox signed Adrian Houser but the man has looked real good and now draws a start against the Colorado Rockies. Yes, this start is IN Coors Field so there is some definite risks but one I'm willing to take as a value play on this slate.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters
Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.
Core MLB DFS Hitters
A's/Giants Stack
The game is being played in Sutter Health today where the wind is going to be blowing out and it is hot. The A's are throwing lefty J.P. Sears who has REALLY struggled this season which makes the Giants, especially Heliot Ramos a core play for me today but you can absolutely play anyone in this game given the offensive potential.
Chicago White Sox in Coors
Antonio Senzatela is on the mound for the Rockies today so you know the White Sox are going to put the ball in play and while the White Sox offense has largely struggled this season there have been spurts of production. Looking at Kyle Teel and Andrew Benintendi today as core parts of any White Sox stack.
Angels vs Eric Lauer
You have an Angels lineup full of right-handed power hitters taking on Blue Jays southpaw Eric Lauer. While yes, Lauer has handled himself on the mound fairly well this season, the home run upside the Angels take to the plate make then an exciting GPP stack in this matchup especially with Lauer allowing 1.5 HR/9 to RHH.
Blue Jays RHH vs Kyle Hendricks
Hendricks is allowing a .561 slugging percentage to right-handed hitters this season with a .380 wOBA and 2.3 HR/9. Locking in Vladdy Jr., George Springer and the rest of the Blue Jays RHH feels like the stack we want today.
