RANDOM STAT OF THE WEEK
All this panic over players who failed to impress in the first week of the season has led to say many questions over the past few days that make no sense. Would you drop the #18 WR from your preseason rankings (a mere week ago folks) for the #78 guy who had a great Week 1? The answer is NO. Here is some data to support the contention that you shouldn't be panicking if one of your aces let you down in Week 1. Here are some game totals last year for the wide receivers who finished top-3 in yards last season.Calvin Johnson had two games last year in which he had 29 yards receiving.Wes Welker caught two balls for 22 yards in Week 11 last year.Victor Cruz had two games last year in which he failed to reach 20 yards (17 yards in Week 2, 12 in Week 6).
Remember, all three of these receivers went for more than 1,500 yards last season.
Patience.
