Dustin Byfuglien's agent, Ben Hankinson, hopes that his client will reconsider ending his hockey career.
"I think the only way Buff would do it is if he’s 100 percent in," Hankinson said. "He’s got something to prove, he wants to win, and [Wild GM Bill Guerin] would be the same way. But right now, it’s probably on the back burner. But we’ll see. It’s my job to obviously keep pushing those buttons." Minnesota was among the teams to ask about Byfuglien this offseason. The 35-year-old defender missed the entire 2019-20 season because of an ankle injury that required surgery to repair. Byfuglien became an unrestricted free agent after his contract with Winnipeg was mutually terminated back in April. He has been in a sort of semi-retirement since Hankinson said in September that it was "doubtful" that Byfuglien would play again. Nov 05 2:00 pm (EST)
