Robert Williams came off Boston's bench on Sunday for eight points on 4-of-5 shooting, three boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 15 minutes.
Williams is battling Enes Kanter for the backup center job behind Daniel Theis, and was coming off a 10-point game on Friday. Asked about the performance afterward, coach Brad Stevens replied, "Very active, rebounded well, he was a threat at the rim again. He did a good job." Kanter was a DNP on Friday and mired in foul trouble in this game, and this could turn into a matchup-based situation -- Williams brings superior defense, while Kanter is far more polished on offense.
