Cory Joseph started Sunday’s loss to Houston and played 28 minutes, finishing with four points (1-of-4 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Joseph replaced Nemanja Bjelica in the starting lineup, as Kings coach Luke Walton attempted to better matchup with Houston’s small rotation. The veteran point guard, whose minutes were staggered with those of De’Aaron Fox for significant stretches, struggled as he finished with as many turnovers as he had rebounds (four). How Walton manages the rotation now that the Kings are no longer in playoff contention will be interesting to watch, as he may decide to get the young guys some extended run in the team’s remaining games. That would be bad news for Joseph, but he doesn’t offer a whole lot in fantasy value when Fox is healthy anyway. Aug 09 10:41 pm (EST)
