UFC Fight Night Predictions & Betting Picks: Lewis vs. Nascimento - Saturday, 5/11
Lewis vs Nascimento Best Bet: Lewis by KO -135
It’s only a small difference between Lewis by KO and Lewis to win but I think it’s worth it as it’ll be hard to win anyway other than by KO. He has the power advantage, he has faced the superior competition, and we have seen Nascimento get KO’d in the past by fighters with less power than Lewis.
Joaquin Buckley vs Nursulton Ruziboev: Buckley ML -130
Buckley is the hometown fighter and he was calling for a fight on this card and the UFC really did him no favors. Ruziboev is 30 years old and already has over 40 professional fights but he is someone who either finishes the fight early or struggles to keep his pace. Buckley should be able to wear on him and eventually turn the tides and finish Ruziboev late.
Parlay McKinney/Ribovics U1.5 Rounds + Despaigne/Cortes U1.5 Rounds ML -103
If you added up the time Despaigne has spent in the octagon over his first five UFC fights they wouldn’t even combine for 1.5 rounds so I expect him to either get this done early or get caught early by Cortes-Acosta. McKinney is going to start fast but probably fade towards the end of Round 1, if he doesn’t get the finish over Ribovics I think Ribovics gets him out of there early in Round 2.
Long Shot Bet: Alex Caceres by Decision +350
Woodson loves to stand on the outside and jab at his opponents and generally that leads to close fights. Woodson is going to land more strikes, but I believe Caceres is going to have the much bigger moments in the fight. Taking the “By Decision” prop on a fighter who is already +180 might be getting greedy so if you want to be a little less risky the +180 is still a pretty big number.
