Texas Rangers

The Rangers come in with an implied run total sitting at 5.49, which is second highest on the slate outside of Coors Field, so plenty of offense to be had here. It should be noted, that this game is not on the FanDuel main slate, so only on DraftKings. The Rangers are up against Jason Hammel , who has some rough numbers this season, and over the course of his career, so it doesn’t matter what sample size you look at. This season he is giving up a .354 wOBA to right-handed hitters while giving up 1.30 HR/9 to lefties. He is getting hit by both types of hitters, which should put anyone in play for the Rangers. The lefty power bats are where I would start when stacking up Texas. Nomar Mazara , Shin-Soo Choo , Joey Gallo , and Jurickson Profar are all firmly in play. They aren’t overly expensive, only two players over $4K, so you should be able to fit them into your lineups.

Colorado Rockies

Listen, I’m not trying to be mean here, but Matt Harvey is a bad pitcher…like really bad. Now he finds himself at Coors Field, which is why the Rockies have an implied run total sitting at 6.38, which is the highest on the slate by a good margin. Harvey is giving up a .381 wOBA to lefties along with 2.53 HR/9. Those numbers are shockingly bad, so you should be doing everything you can to play someone like Charlie Blackmon , who comes in with .294 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. Gerardo Parra with a .325 wOBA against right-handed pitchers is also in play. David Dahl with a .175 ISO vs right-handed pitchers also makes a good addition to a Rockies stack. As always, if you have a salary to jam in Nolan Arenado or Trevor Story , you should be doing that.

Washington Nationals

The Nationals are a slightly off the board pick today, since they don’t have a super high implied run total, only 4.15, and they aren’t in the best hitter’s park. But with that said, they make a solid stacking option today vs a Marlins pitcher, Elieser Hernandez , who is very young and unproven. Hernandez only has 13 innings under his belt this season, and he has actually performed well, but he made the jump from Double-A to the majors. He isn’t a big strikeout guy and is giving up a 41% hard contact rate so far. I really like a three-man stack of lefties for the Nationals today, Bryce Harper , Matt Adams , and exciting prospect Juan Soto . Adams has home runs in two of his last three games, while Harper has two in his last five games. Trea Turner and Anthony Rendón can also be added, just a matter of what kind of salary you have available.
