Canucks @ Devils

The Canucks have found their offence recently, and their stars are finally leading the way. J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson have 8 and 6 points respectively over their last 3 games. The Canucks have been getting production up and down their lineup, which also aids the values of players like Tanner Pearson and Bo Horvat who each have 10 shots over their last three games as well, and they both have no less than 3 points in that stretch. Jesper Bratt and Jack Hughes have been providing the scoring punch for the Devils. They have combined for 17 points in their last two games, and with Vancouver going to their backup tonight, they could be in for another big night. The Devils have also been getting production for Nico Hischier and Yegor Sharangovich who you will be able to get at a lower price.

On defence, Quinn Hughes has been nothing short of fire. He has three points in his last three games, and 13 shots to go with them. You can expect him to be motivated playing his brother tonight in what will see be a family affair for the Hughes family, especially when the time comes for Luke to join the Devils as well. Another defenceman who could be of interest on Vancouver tonight is Tyler Myers. He has two points in his last three games, and he will also block shots, which gives him a nice floor. Dougie Hamilton is the obvious choice on defence for the Devils. He is always a candidate to get you five shots or more, and he is capable of putting up big nights point-wise. Damon Severson is also of interest for the Devils, he has points in four of his last five games, and he will give you both shots and blocked shots, although typically not in large volumes.

Jaroslav Halak will get the start in goal tonight for the Canucks. His last two starts have been “not-good”, and New Jersey has been scoring goals, so I wouldn’t recommend his use tonight. The same thing goes for Nico Daws who is expected to get the start for the Devils, although Daws is coming off a nice start against the Penguins.

Maple Leafs at Capitals

There should be no shortage of firepower in this game with the Leafs and the Capitals. Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner each have nine points over the last week, and are both averaging nearly five shots per game. Their linemate Michael Bunting has been no slouch either with seven points in that four-game stretch. Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov are the targets for the Capitals. They are the most likely to get points, and they also shoot enough to give you some value even if they don’t get any points. You can also look at TJ Oshie and Nicklas Backstrom for more value, as they both get time on the top powerplay.

Morgan Rielly is the obvious choice for the Maple Leafs, he gets the top powerplay time, and he has been consistently productive this season. Justin Holl has points in three straight games, and is someone who will also block shots which provides him with a nice floor.  We would typically look at John Carlson for the Capitals. He has gone pointless in back-to-back games, but he is an offensive force from the backend and is capable of big nights. The Capitals do not have any other defencemen who have been productive recently that really warrant a look.

Petr Mrazek will get the start for Toronto tonight. He has been very hit and miss this season, with more misses than hits. He is usable in a GPP, but I would avoid him in a cash game. Ilya Samsonov could also be an interesting play in GPP games, as he seems to perform better when he faces 30 or more shots, and I suspect he will see that volume tonight, just know that this is a game where he could easily give up 4 or more goals, and his save percentage at home is bad at 0.890.

Bruins @ Kings

The breaking up of the perfection continues to pay dividends for the Bruins. All three players(Bergeron, Pastrnak, and Marchand) have continued to be productive, and they are all averaging nearly 5 shots on goal per game, David Pastrnak has been really hot recently putting up 16 shots, 3 goals and 2 assists in his last three games. We have also seen strong production from Jake DeBrusk who has four points in his last three games and is now seeing top-line minutes. The Kings have been seeing production recently from Adrian Kempe and Victor Arvidsson. Both have three points in their last three games, and they also have 9 shots in those games, but really you can look at anyone in the Kings top six, and in particular, we should pay attention to Trevor Moore who has four points in his last three games as he will come with an inexpensive price tag.

On defence for the Bruins, it is Charlie McAvoy or bust. He has four points in his last three games, but is a player that depends on points to get to value. Matt Roy is an interesting play for the Kings today. He has points in three of his last five games, and he will give you some shots and blocks which could help him get to value even if the points aren’t there. We also have the upside of someone like Drew Doughty in this game as he is capable of hitting all three of the bonuses on DraftKings.

Tonight Jeremy Swaymen looks like as good of a bet as anyone. He has had good starts in four of his last five games, and he has a 0.944 save percentage in 12 road games this season. Jonathan Quick will get the start for the Kings. He has been solid all season, and he has won his last three starts, and is also worth a look at home today.
