Welcome to another edition of the Fantasy Hockey Injury Report. The injury report is going to keep you up to date on all the important injuries going on around the league, and how that might affect your fantasy hockey team. Make sure to check back regularly for any updates. Let’s take a look at some players that are either ruled out or that we need to monitor.

Patrice Bergeron - Boston Bruins - Arm

Patrice Bergeron has missed the last two games due to an arm injury and is considered day-to-day. It’s the same injury that he was dealing with earlier in the year, so this is obviously bad news and concerns. The team is also talking about infection, so you have to believe they will take extra precautions with their captain. Look for the team to give us another update and some point next week.

Boone Jenner - Columbus Blue Jackets - Back

Boone Jenner was placed on IR last Saturday due to a lower-back injury and is considered week-to-week. The Blue Jackets’ captain was putting together a pretty nice season before this injury, but this could obviously keep him out of the lineup for an extended period of time. For now, stash him on your bench and wait for another update.

Miro Heiskanen - Dallas Stars - Illness

Miro Heiskanen could miss the remainder of the season as he battles mononucleosis. He was placed on IR on Thursday after the illness was discovered and the news right now doesn’t sound encouraging. He could come back in the new few days or weeks, but head coach Rick Bowness has said that the news right now is not encouraging. If you can’t keep him on your bench or need the extra injury spot for another player, you can go ahead and drop him.

Aaron Ekblad - Florida Panthers - Lower-body UPDATE

It looks like Aaron Ekblad is done for the remainder of the season. In redraft leagues, he can be dropped.

Aaron Ekblad left Friday’s game against Anaheim after only 56-seconds with a lower-body injury and his status is considered day-to-day. Andrew Brunette did say that there was no structural damage, so that is good news. For now, fantasy owners should take a wait-and-see approach and hope he can return early in the week.

Drew Doughty - Los Angeles Kings - Undisclosed **UPDATE**

Kings defenceman Drew Doughty hasn’t played since March 7th and now we are getting word that his injury is more serious than previously expected. We still don’t know what he’s dealing with, but this is not good news for anyone. Los Angeles will want to give their veteran player as much time as needed to make sure he can return healthy and stay in the lineup. Fantasy owners shouldn’t drop him until we get another update on his condition.

Thomas Chabot - Ottawa Senators - Hand

Ottawa superstar Thomas Chabot suffered a fracture in his hand against Columbus and is done for the season. This is a huge loss for the Senators, but just as big a loss for fantasy owners. We know how much ice time he chews up and no one can replace that. It’s a tough way for his season to end, but it looks like he will be ready for training camp. Chabot finished the year with six goals and 28 assists.

Max Pacioretty - Vegas Golden Knights - Undisclosed

Max Pacioretty has missed the last four games due to an undisclosed and there is still no timetable for his return. He’s had a hard time staying healthy this season and the team could really use his goal-scoring abilities as they try to keep up in the Pacific Division. He hasn’t played since March 11th and all we know is that he’s day-to-day. If news gets worse over the next coming weeks then we can decide what to do with the winger.
