Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! We’re going to bring you a special treat this week and deliver a Yahoo! Fantasy DFS write-up for the three game Thanksgiving day slate! This isn’t the most exciting slate of fames we’ve ever had, but what would you rather do..watch football or talk to your family about school, work and your relationships? We’ve all done the latter enough, bring on the football!

Quarterback

Andy Dalton vs. DET ($20)

It has been confirmed that Andy Dalton is going to start for the Matt Nagy led Bears on Thanksgiving in what could be Nagy’s final game with the team, so how perfect to have HIS QB1 drawing the start. It wasn’t the most electric performance when Justin Fields was hurt and taken out in Week 11, but he topped 200 yards passing and two scores. He now draws a match-up against the lowly Lions. Detroit is 28th in pass DVOA and have allowed 17 passing touchdowns this season. He’s minimum salary and on a slate in which there are limited options at QB, Dalton stands out as a quality value option.

Running Back

Josh Jacobs vs. DAL ($17)

The Raiders’ offense has not looked the same without Henry Ruggs, plain and simple. Despite that fact, Josh Jacobs has looked pretty good recently and surprisingly has played a big time role in the passing game. He’s had at least four targets in each of the last three games, including seven last game, and has four or more catches in each game as well. That, coupled with the fact that he’s still clearly the lead back and is dominating the snaps, puts himself in position to have a solid performance. The Cowboys have been good at limiting running back production this year, but where RB’s have made their hay is actually in the passing game, which I just alluded to. It is worth mentioning Dallas is only 19th in rush DVOA and haven’t exactly faced a murderers row of running backs this season.

*Note - We have to monitor the Saints backfield. Both Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram were unable to practice on Tuesday, which would put Tony Jones Jr. in the limelight for Week 12 if both were to sit. Jones would be an elite value if both sat and on the flipside, if Ingram is able to suit up, he’d be the value option we’re going to look at. This will all be irrelevant if Alvin Kamara is able to play. Monitor the news!

Wide Receiver

Michael Gallup vs. LV ($19)

It’s likely that Gallup is the chalk play of the slate, but why wouldn’t he be? The Cowboys are definitely without Amari Cooper and as of Wednesday morning, CeeDee Lamb is still in concussion protocol. If both guys are out, Gallup is the number one option in the passing attack. Gallup had 10 targets in Week 11, which led the team. He’s had 15 targets in the two games he’s played in since returning from injury and last week, he played a season high 94% of the offensive snaps. The Raiders are 23rd in DVOA against the pass and Gallup should have a big game here.

Darnell Mooney vs. DET ($16)

Allen Robinson has missed each of the first two days of practice for the Bears this week and considering they play on Thursday, it’ll be hard to imagine he’s playing here. Without him in Week 11, Darnell Mooney was, well, involved. That’s one way to put it as he had 16 targets! He may have only hauled in five, but 16 targets is 16 targets no matter how you slice it. Mooney is undoubtedly the top option in the Bears passing attack with Robinson out. The Lions are dead last in pass DVOA this year and Dalton and Mooney correlate perfectly on this slate.

Tight End

T.J. Hockenson vs. CHI ($17)

It doesn’t really matter who is throwing Hockenson the football because the Lions really don’t have many viable options to throw the ball too and Hockenson is their best weapon to feed. After just one target in Week 10, he was fed the ball with eight targets, catching six of them for 51 yards. He has eight or more targets in four of his last five games and is the fifth most targeted tight end in the league. This is his lowest salary since Week 1 and we need to capitalize on that fact.
