Updated 12/12

With the fantasy football playoffs locked in for most leagues, now is the time when injuries could truly end not only players' seasons, but fantasy managers' seasons as well. With that in mind, it’s important to stay on top of the injury reports and keep our eyes and ears open for all the information we can get.

Let’s dive in.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Quarterbacks

Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

Jones suffered a torn Achilles tendon this weekend, ending his season. This is a huge hit for a Colts roster that went all in on this season, and a big hit for fantasy managers as well, as Jones has been a QB1 this year, and the backups are huge downgrades for the pass catchers.

Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

12/12 UPDATE

Smith remains on the sidelines this week during practice due to a right shoulder and back injury. At this point, all signs point to Kenny Pickett getting a start in his place.

Smith suffered a shoulder injury this weekend, which removed him from the game for Kenny Pickett. Pickett looked solid in his limited time and would be the next man up should Geno’s injury be severe enough to keep him out of action this coming week.

Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

12/12 UPDATE

Daniels has been ruled out this weekend due to an injury to his previously injured left elbow. Marcus Mariota will be under center once again for Washington.

Daniels suffered an injury to his left elbow (the same one he dislocated previously) this weekend. He could’ve returned to action per head coach Dan Quinn, but was held out as the game was out of reach. We will monitor his reports as we move through the week to determine his status.

Tyrod Taylor/Justin Fields, New York Jets

12/12 UPDATE

Both QB1 and QB2 for this team will be out this weekend, making Brady Cook the starter. Cook struggled in relief of an injured Taylor in week 14, so I’m expecting minimal production from Jets pass catchers.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Running Backs

Nick Chubb, Houston Texans

12/12 UPDATE

Chubb remains sidelined at practice due to his rib injury, with all signs pointing to him being inactive this weekend. On Friday’s practice, he was spotted simply working to the side with trainers. This is huge news for Marks managers, who may finally be getting elite workload levels in the playoffs.

Chubb suffered a rib injury that removed him from action in the 2nd quarter this weekend, opening the door for Woody Marks to see an increased workload. Marks has been the lead for a few weeks now, but any missed time from Chubb would give Marks elite workload upside.

De’Von Achane, Miami Dolphins

12/12 UPDATE

Achane has returned to practice this week and is expected to be active this weekend. Jaylen Wright should be rostered in all leagues, as he was clearly used as the RB2 in the offense.

Achane suffered a rib injury, taking him out of action this weekend. Mike McDaniels stated that he could’ve returned if needed, but he opted to keep him out this weekend. Achane may miss some practices this weekend, but he should be good to go next week.

Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers

12/12 UPDATE

After missing practice earlier in the week, Jacobs did return to practice on Friday. I’m currently expecting him to suit up this weekend, but I would keep an eye on his status if you’re counting on him in lineups.

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints

12/12 UPDATE

Kamara has officially been ruled OUT this weekend. Devin Neal should continue to dominate the backfield touches in his absence.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Wide Receivers

Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals

12/12 UPDATE

Higgins has been ruled out this week, as he continues to deal with concussion symptoms. Burrow will be without one of his favorite targets yet again.

Higgins suffered yet another concussion this weekend, putting him back in concussion protocol. This is Higgins' 2nd in less than a month, and could be a multi-week issue.

Deebo Samuel, Washington Commanders

12/12 UPDATE

Samuel missed practice on Friday due to illness. I still expect him to play this weekend, but his snaps may be limited if the illness continues to affect him.

DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers

12/12 UPDATE

Metcalf has practiced in full as of Thursday. He should be active and good to go this weekend against the Dolphins.

Metcalf didn’t suffer an injury during the game, but seemingly had some issues after as he was hospitalized with a stomach issue post-game. It remains to be seen what the issue is, but we should monitor this until we have more info.

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

12/12 UPDATE

Lamb has cleared concussion protocol, meaning he’s back in the lineup for Dallas and fantasy managers this week. Huge news out of Dallas for fantasy purposes.

Lamb is progressing nicely through the concussion protocol, per head coach Brian Schottenheimer. This is great news for the Cowboys, who are still in playoff contention at this time, and will be huge for managers as well.

Marvin Harrison, Arizona Cardinals

12/12 UPDATE

Marv’s heel injury will keep him out of action for another week. Though the matchup isn’t great, Michael Wilson still has WR1 upside in this game with Marv out.

Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears

12/12 UPDATE

After missing last week’s game, Rome returned to practice this week, albeit in a limited capacity. I’m currently expecting him to play this weekend against Cleveland, but we will have to wait for inactive announcements to be sure.

Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams

12/12 UPDATE

Adams officially missed practice on Thursday due to a hamstring injury, putting his status this weekend up in the air. He’s currently expected to play, but we may see lower usage/production if his hamstring is bothering him.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report: Tight Ends

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns

12/12 UPDATE

Njoku has officially been ruled OUT against Chicago this weekend. Harold Fannin is a TE1 this week for me as a result against a Chicago defense that is dealing with multiple injuries.

Njoku suffered a knee injury on Sunday and was ruled out as a result. Harold Fannin had a huge game in his absence and is poised to have another if Njoku misses a game.

Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders

Ertz suffered a torn ACL this weekend, ending his season. This is the 2nd ACL tear of Ertz’s career, and given his age, it could be a career-ending injury for him. Ben Sinnott is expected to step into his role.

Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys

12/12 UPDATE

Ferguson did not practice on Thursday, putting his status up in the air for this weekend. That said, head coach Brian Schottenheimer expects him to play. One of the most consistent performers at the position this season, managers will have to be on the lookout for updates and be ready to stream this weekend if he’s ruled out.
