We've made it to "hump day" and the NBA has given us a six-game main slate this evening featuring some marquee matchups which includes a Luka Doncic birthday game narrative against the Toronto Raptors and the battle of Los Angeles with the Lakers taking on the Clippers to close out the night.

We are targeting two players props from those games here with our Underdog Fantasy NBA picks for Wednesday, February 22.

Best Underdog Fantasy NBA Pick'em Plays Today, 2/27

Immanuel Quickley DFS Picks: PG, Toronto Raptors

Toronto is at home here as they welcome in the Dallas Mavericks who are on the second leg of a back-to-back after losing to a halfcourt heave by the Cavaliers Max Strus last night. What we are looking at today however is not a player on the Mavericks but their opponent the Toronto Raptors and specifically guard Immanuel Quickley

The Mavericks have struggled to defend opposing guards this season and we just saw Donovan Mitchell have himself a good night last night against them. Quickley has turned it on over the last three games, scoring at least 19 points in each of the last three games.

What we are targeting today however is his Points+Rebound projection which is set at 23.5. Not only has Quickley scored 24 actual points in two of the last three games but he has also been aggressive on the glass, averaging nearly six rebounds per contest over the last four games. During those four games his Points+Rebound totals have been 25, 31, 30 and 20.

I'm looking for Quickley to continue his strong stretch of play and make it four straight games where he has finished higher than the projected totals.

D'Angelo Russell DFS Picks: PG, Los Angeles Lakers

I don't really understand the disrespect for D'Angelo Russell this season. He has been a great scoring complement to Lebron James and Anthony Davis as a third option and he is shooting over 40% from three-point range. He has even taken on the lead scoring role when the Lakers have needed him to do so if they were without either of their top two plays.

Tonight, we are looking at Russell's three-point made projection which is set at 2.5. Over the past two months Russell is averaging nearly 3.5 three-pointers per game and he has hit at least three three-pointers in each game against the Clippers this season.

Russell is not shy about launching them from beyond-the-arc and the Clippers are not a good defensive team when it comes to defending opposing guards. I'm looking for Russell to get hot early from three-point range tonight.
