Back to today’s NBA Sleeper picks: some of my top plays today include Derrick Jones Jr. and Dereck Lively II from the Dallas Mavericks, plus Mike Conley of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Derrick Jones Jr. NBA Sleeper Pick: More Than 0.5 Made Three Pointers

The reliance on Derrick Jones Jr. has grown throughout the playoffs because of his defense but his ability to space the floor offensively. He’s made a three in eight of his last 10 playoff games and has shot the three ball at a 50% clip over the last three games.

The Timberwolves have actually allowed their opponents to shoot 35% from three this postseason, which is the fifth worst mark amongst all playoff teams.

Mike Conley NBA Sleeper Pick: Less Than 6 Assists

We’re heading into the Western Conference Finals and the Timberwolves point-guard isn’t the healthiest player in the world. Mike Conley is playing through a calf injury and despite that, he’s been great.

That being said, during the Denver series, Conley averaged 8.8 potential assists per game, which would mean the Timberwolves need to be incredibly efficient on his passes to hit the over here.

Dereck Lively NBA Sleeper Pick: More Than 6.5 Rebounds

During the series against Oklahoma City, Dereck Lively II emerged as one of the most important pieces on the Mavericks as he dominated on the glass and was great defensively. They’re going to need him to step up that way again and that’s definitely possible.

During that series, he averaged 15.5 potential rebounds per game and played 25+ minutes in three of the final four games of the series. Why that is significant is that despite being the backup, he was on the floor more than starter Daniel Gafford. Obviously, Minnesota is a harder team to rebound against, but Lively is a great rebounder and has been all year long.
