Point Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Damian Lillard | POR | 4 | Lillard takes the top spot with the full slate. The Blazers are still a very top-heavy team when it comes to consistent scoring weapons. Lillard continues to be the prioritized scorer on the team. |
2 | Kyle Lowry | TOR | 4 | Lowry hasn't looked back since returning from injury, but, with Fred VanVleet hurting, he'll be asked to take more shots until VanVleet returns. His minutes are already high. |
3 | Devonte Graham | CHA | 4 | Graham continues to be one of the biggest surprises of the year. The Hornets top scoring options will toggle between point guard and shooting guard throughout the game playing opposite Terry Rozier. |
4 | Ricky Rubio | PHX | 4 | Rubio has taken advantage of Devin Booker being banged up and with Deandre Ayton coming back very soon, it can only help his assist-numbers having one of the most skilled big men back in the lineup. |
5 | Trae Young | ATL | 3 | With John Collins still suspended, Young will be far and away the top scoring option and he'll always get plenty of minutes, shots, points and he'll help be a playmaker as well. |
6 | Chris Paul | OKC | 4 | The Thunder don't have a ton of options behind their starters and Paul should continue to see heavy run as the team's main facilitator. He's good for points, boards and steals in most games. |
7 | Russell Westbrook | HOU | 3 | Westbrook remains the second scoring option behind James Harden. He'll take more advantage of teams that are bad at defending the paint. His three-point shooting has been suspect so he focuses on driving. |
8 | Ja Morant | MEM | 4 | Morant has been able to stay healthy for the most part, but, from time to time his Back pain acts up and if he needs to miss time, Tyus Jones and De'Anthony Melton will fill in for him. |
9 | Kemba Walker | BOS | 3 | Having Gordon Hayward back in the lineup will take a few shots away from Walker, but it should help his assists on the other side. Walker has been focusing more on jump-shooting over driving the lane this year. |
10 | Ben Simmons | PHI | 3 | Simmons will continue to be a multi-category producer and even though his coaches want him to improve his long-range shooting game, he's a fierce driver and he'll provide plenty of help with boards and dimes. |
11 | Malcolm Brogdon | IND | 3 | Brogdon will continue to be the top-scoring option for the Pacers until Victor Oladipo returns. Even when Oladipo returns, he'll be brough back slowly so he stays healthy and that will benefit Brogdon. |
12 | Derrick Rose | DET | 4 | Rose has been able to stay on the court and he doesn't need 30 minutes to produce points and steals. With Reggie Jackson still hurt, Rose will be the prioritized guard when it comes to playmaking. |
13 | Dennis Schroder | OKC | 4 | Schroder moves up the rankings with the full slate and the Thunder's second unit is very banged up right now and he'll get plenty of time with the ball when Chris Paul is off the floor. |
14 | Patrick Beverley | LAC | 4 | INJ: Beverley has been suffering from a Concussion and his status for Tuesday's game is currently up in the air. He's missed his last two games. If Lou Williams is healthy, he'll fill-in. Landry Shamet is also an option. |
15 | Isaiah Thomas | WSH | 4 | INJ: Thomas has missed his last five games because of a strained Calf. He has a chance to make it back on the court for the start of the Wizards full slate Monday night. Ish Smith will continue to start if he sits. |
16 | Spencer Dinwiddie | BKN | 3 | There's still no confirmed date that we'll see Kyrie Irving return to the court because he still can't take contact. Dinwiddie will continue being the primary fill-in option at point guard until Irving is ready to return. |
17 | George Hill | MIL | 4 | Eric Bledsoe will miss the next few weeks of action due to injury and Hill is in line to pick up more mintues, shots and he'll help facilitate the offense a bit more. He's one of the best three-point shooters in the league. |
18 | Ish Smith | WSH | 4 | Smith will continue to see more playing time if Isaiah Thomas can't go and the Wizards have the full slate. There's a decent chance that Thomas makes it back to the court for Monday's game. |
19 | Jamal Murray | DEN | 3 | Murray has been helpful in four categories this season. He's scored nearly 17 points per game and he's grabbed a good amount of long boards this season. He's also grabbed 1.4 steals per game this season. |
20 | De'Aaron Fox | SAC | 3 | INJ: Reports are out that Fox could return to action after a long stint away from the court due to a badly sprained Ankle. The Kings first game of the week is Tuesday night and he'll likely be brought back slowly. |
Shooting Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | James Harden | HOU | 3 | It's very hard to take Harden out of the top spot. He hit 10 three-pointers in a game last week and he'll continue making shooting look easy. He takes a lot of step-back jumpers and he'll help with boards and dimes. |
2 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 4 | Beal remains the Wizards top scorer and even when Isaiah Thomas comes back to action, the Wizards still don't have many reliable scoring options and Beal will continue to have the eternal green light to shoot. |
3 | Devin Booker | PHX | 4 | INJ: After missing his last game with an Arm injury, there's a chance that Booker may have to sit for his first game of the week. Kelly Oubre Jr. and Ricky Rubio would become the prioritized scorers. |
4 | CJ McCollum | POR | 4 | McCollum is the Blazers second scoring option and most of their offense will continue to come out of the back court because they don't have too many frontcourt options that can help. |
5 | Khris Middleton | MIL | 4 | Middleton saw his usage go up a bit when Giannis Antetokounmpo was hurt and even though the Bucks brought him back slowly from an injury, Middleton shouldn't face any minutes restrictions this week. |
6 | Jimmy Butler | MIA | 3 | Butler continues to keep the Heat's pace on offense very high and with Goran Dragic and Justise Winslow still hurting, he'll have to spend more time bringing up the ball and that'll help his assists. |
7 | Lou Williams | LAC | 4 | INJ: Williams has an injured Calf and missed his last two games. His status is uncertain for Tuesday's game. Landry Shamet could see some more time with the ball. |
8 | Terry Rozier | CHA | 4 | Rozier still gets plenty of time with the ball in the Hornets offense even though Graham is prioritized. He'll switch off between point guard and shooting guard throughout the game and help with assists. |
9 | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | OKC | 4 | Gilgeous-Alexander will get a lot of mid-range shots. What's special about Gilgeous-Alexander is that he'll race to the paint once he puts a shot up and he'll help out on the defensive end on the perimeter. |
10 | Luke Kennard | DET | 4 | Kennard is a good sharp-shooter from long-range. He'll attack the lane if it's open, but, the Pistons use him as more of a JJ Redick-type of player and he'll also shoot incredibly from the fre-throw line. |
11 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 3 | Holiday will see more time at point guard as they look to shuffle their lineup a bit. They aren't as impressed with what Lonzo Ball has done on the court and they'll have Holiday and Josh Hart helping run the point. |
12 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 3 | Wiggins has been a good second scoring option for the Timberwolves and he's been very successful operating from the wing and he'll help grab boards from the elbow area as well and he'll feed th cutter. |
13 | Donovan Mitchell | UT | 3 | Mitchell will spend more time with the ball with Mike Conley hurt. Expect his assist-numbers to go be higher until Conley returns and Mitchell has had to attack the rim more to draw the second defender. |
14 | Zach LaVine | CHI | 3 | LaVine has been a bit banged up this month but it hasn't stopped him from playing. He's been the Bulls top-scoring option and with their mid-court still hurt, expect LaVine to take even more shots. |
15 | Buddy Hield | SAC | 3 | It'll be interesting to see if Hield loses shots with Fox coming back in the mix. Hield will be able to keep up with the speedy Fox and he should still be able to get set up at the arc a good amount when Fox drives. |
16 | DeMar DeRozan | SAS | 3 | DeRozan trade rumors have been circulating just a little bit and the Spurs may want to play him a few more minutes to showcase the mid-range player. He's not as impactful shooting from the arc. |
17 | Dillon Brooks | MEM | 4 | If Jae Crowder has to miss games, Brooks will definitely see an uptick in shots and his spot in the Memphis rotation is safe and secure as the Grizzlies lack serious depth. His scoring numbers should rise this week. |
18 | Norman Powell | TOR | 4 | If Fred VanVleet needs to continue to sit out, and it's looking like he'll miss at least the first game of the Raptors full slate, Powell will see more minutes and shots. |
19 | Jaylen Brown | BOS | 3 | If Brown can attack the lane and not camp out at the arc like Gordon Hayward, he'll get fed a bit more. Brown will also provide help on the defensive end. He grabs nearly seven boards per game. |
20 | Fred VanVleet | TOR | 4 | INJ: VanVleet has missed his last three games with a Knee injury and there's a good chance he'll have to sit for Monday's game. Norman Powell would see more shots if VanVleet sits. |
Small Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | LeBron James | LAL | 3 | As strange as it is, James still takes the top spot and he'll help out everywhere on the court and even though he doesn't want to run the point as much, he'll continue to do so and compile assists from it. |
2 | Kawhi Leonard | LAC | 4 | I'm sure a lot of you are confused why Kawhi Leonard is still ranked second to LeBron James this week. The reason is that later in the week the Clippers have a back-to-back and Leonard will likely sit for a game. |
3 | Kelly Oubre Jr. | PHX | 4 | With Ayton coming back to the mix, Oubre will become the third option on the Suns, but there will still be plenty of shots to go around. Oubre will be used as a bailout option when Ayton and Booker attack the paint. |
4 | Brandon Ingram | NO | 3 | Ingram will continue being the Pelicans top scorer and he'll long a lot of minutes and he'll also benefit from the lineup changes they're making. He'll get time to run the point and that'll help his assists. |
5 | Jae Crowder | MEM | 4 | INJ: Crowder is dealing with an Ankle injury and after sitting his last game, there's a chance he'll have to sit for his first game of the week. Dillon Brooks would pick up more shots if he sits. |
6 | OG Anunoby | TOR | 4 | Anunoby will continue to benefit indirectly with VanVleet hurt. He'll pick up more shots and he already earns plenty of minutes because of his defense. Like Pascal Siakam, he'll attack the lane with no fear. |
7 | Tobias Harris | PHI | 3 | Harris will spend more time at the arc than in the post when both Al Horford and Joel Embiid are healthy. He'll take a lot of long-range jumpers and he'll help pull down boards on the defensive end. |
8 | Miles Bridges | CHA | 4 | Expect Bridges usage to go up a bit this week with PJ Washington hurt. The Hornets will need him to play in the lane a bit more and that should help his scoring and rebounding. |
9 | Gordon Hayward | BOS | 3 | Hayward is back and has shown a ton of promise (per usual) on the offensive side of the ball. He'll need to look to cut to the basket a bit more because the Celtics don't have a lot of secure options in the paint. |
10 | Will Barton | DEN | 3 | Barton continues to to do a little bit of everything for the Nuggets. He'll help with scoring and he does a great job following up his own shots and grabbing boards. He can also run the point if needed. |
11 | Marcus Morris | NY | 3 | Morris has been spending a lot of time at the arc this year because the Knicks don't have a ton of reliable three-point shooters and Morris has been one of the best shooters from long-range this season. |
12 | Tim Hardaway Jr. | DAL | 4 | Hardaway should see more shots in the Mavs offense with Luka Doncic out of the way for the next few weeks. Expect Hardaway to get set up at the arc a lot, but he'll also make an impact on transition driving. |
13 | Aaron Gordon | ORL | 3 | Gordon has been able to produce from mid and long-range. With Nikola Vucevic back in the lineup, he'll lose a few shots and be relegated to the arc, but his minutes shouldn't be impacted with Vucevic's return. |
14 | Taurean Prince | BKN | 3 | With Caris LeVert still hurt, Prince will see more shots. It's a bit frustrating to watch him just sit at the arc because he has good slashing ability getting in the lane. He'll continue to start. |
15 | Harrison Barnes | SAC | 3 | With Marvin Bagley III and Fox healthy, Barnes will likely lose shots, but his defense should keep him in games and he'll still help grab boards from mid-range and he'll get set up at the arc a decent amount. |
16 | Bogdan Bogdanovic | SAC | 3 | Bogdanovic will be in a minutes and shots battle. Bogdanovic can bring up the ball if needed and he'll help grab steals on the perimeter. The big question is whether or not he's still given 27 minutes per game. |
17 | Josh Hart | NO | 3 | Hart will get to help out at point guard, shooting guard and small forward and the Pelicans experimenting with new lineups can only benefit Hart. Hart should see a few more shots this week. |
18 | Joe Harris | BKN | 3 | Harris will continue to get minutes with both Irving and LeVert still out and he'll take a lot of shots from long-range. He can also help run point at times as well and he'll grab steals on the perimeter. |
19 | T.J. Warren | IND | 3 | Warren should see a good amount of shots at the arc, but he is a decent slasher as well. Warren has scored 17.8 points per game this season and he'll share the arc with Myles Turner. He grabs 1.1 steals per game. |
20 | Danuel House Jr. | HOU | 3 | Eric Gordon is still hurt and that'll benefit House when it comes to the shot-share in Houston. House's main competition for shots is currently P.J. Tucker and Ben McLemore. House will help with boards and steals. |
Power Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 4 | The Greek Freak was dealing with a sore Quad last week, but all signs point to the injury being behind him and when he has the full slate, he'll always take the top spot. |
2 | Pascal Siakam | TOR | 4 | Siakam isn’t limited with Lowry in the lineup because of how aggressive he is on both sides of the ball. He makes attacking the lane look easy and he can even step and hit three's. He drains 2.2 three-pointers per game. |
3 | Paul George | LAC | 4 | George has been able to share the elbow with Leonard and it hasn't impacted his stats. With the Clippers playing a back-to-back later in the week, if Leonard sits, it will benefit George even more. |
4 | Anthony Davis | LAL | 3 | Owners should keep their fingers crossed in regards to Davis because all it takes is one bad fall for them to start dropping in the standings. The chemistry between Davis and James is absolutely there. |
5 | Kristaps Porzingis | DAL | 4 | Porzingis will become the Mavs prioritized scorer with Doncic hurt for the next few weeks. Expect Porzingis to be set up at the arc a decent amount, but he'll need to attack more to keep opposing defenses moving. |
6 | Danilo Gallinari | OKC | 4 | Gallinari doesn't have much competition at the position and his minutes will always be safe. Steven Adams is a low-block specific center on offense and Gallinari will compliment him by camping out at the arc. |
7 | Jaren Jackson Jr. | MEM | 4 | Jackson has seen his numbers go up over the last few weeks and even with Morant backin the lineup, Jackson will still get plenty of shots. He likes to stay at the arc, but he needs to use his size to attack more. |
8 | Dario Saric | PHX | 4 | Saric has been dealing with a minor Back injury, but it shouldn't cost him any games. He also shouldn't be impacted as negatively as other Suns big men with Ayton coming back to the lineup. |
9 | Carmelo Anthony | POR | 4 | Anthony has been buried treasure for the Blazers because they very much needed a frontcourt player with offensive ability to score from outside the paint and Anthony will continue seeing plenty of shots. |
10 | Kevin Love | CLE | 3 | Love has been able to stay on the court and the Cavs will keep him on the arc a good amount because Tristan Thompson is a low-block specific center. Expect a lot of three's and boards from Love. |
11 | Jayson Tatum | BOS | 3 | Hayward being back in the lineup shouldn't impact Tatum's touches because the Celtics frontcourt doesn't pose much of a threat in the paint and Tatum will continue to get plenty of time to create. |
12 | Brandon Clarke | MEM | 4 | Clarke is over his injury and he should continue seeing over 20 minutes per game. Jonas Valanciunas doesn't log a ton of minutes and the Grizzlies don't have true depth behind Clark. He's blocked a shot per game. |
13 | Blake Griffin | DET | 4 | INJ: Griffin has been having issues with his Knee and there's a chance he'll have to sit for the Pistons first game of the week on Monday. Markieff Morris will pick up Griffin's minutes if he can't go. |
14 | Serge Ibaka | TOR | 4 | Ibaka has been able to stick in the rotation and he's scored 12.2 points per game and he's not focusing on shooting from the arc as much. He's pulling down 7.2 boards per game and he also blocks a shot per game. |
15 | Rui Hachimura | WSH | 4 | With Mo Wagner hurt, Hachimura should see even more playing time and he'll have to be the main paint player on offense because Davis Bertans loves to camp out at the arc. Expect Hachimura's rebounding to improve. |
16 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 3 | Aldridge still gets a lot of plays called for him at the elbow and arc, but the Spurs lack toughness and need him to bang on the boards a bit more so the Spurs can get more production in the paint. |
17 | Frank Kaminsky | PHX | 4 | Kaminsky will come in and camp out at the arc and once Ayton comes back, his minutes will likely be reduced, especially if the Suns need more defense. He'll be in a timeshare with Aron Baynes once Ayton returns. |
18 | Al Horford | PHI | 3 | Horford has been able to produce in the post and at the arc. If Embiid sets up at the arc, Horford will rush to the paint to try to either get fed or be there to grab boards off of missed long-range shots. |
19 | Julius Randle | NY | 3 | Randle has been one of the few positives of the Knicks this season. He'll even step back and hit shots from long-range. Randle is a tough inside player and he'll be a huge help grabbing boards while logging a lot of PT. |
20 | Jonathan Isaac | ORL | 3 | Isaac has been one of the most improved players this season and he's a big reason why the Magic have improved defensively. With Vucevic back, he shouldn't see fewer minutes. His shots will go down a touch though. |
Center
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Andre Drummond | DET | 4 | INJ: Drummond is dealing with an injured eye and he missed his previous game and there's a chance he'll have to miss his first game of the week. |
2 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 3 | Towns is the most productive center overall in fantasy this season, but, when watching him, he continues to spend way too much time focusing on hitting long-range shots. He needs more time in the post. |
3 | Hassan Whiteside | POR | 4 | Whiteside isn't a shooter and won't always long the most minutes, but, he's the best that Portland's frontcourt has to offer and he doesn't need a lot of minutes to produce points and boards. |
4 | Joel Embiid | PHI | 3 | INJ: Embiid is sick and had to miss his last game. He has a couple of days to get well before Wednesday's game so there's a chance he'll make it for his three games this week. |
5 | Deandre Ayton | PHX | 4 | If my calculations are correct, the final game of Ayton's suspension should be the Suns Monday night game and he should be able to return this week. Stay tuned to see when the Suns activate him. |
6 | Montrezl Harrell | LAC | 4 | Harrell is another big man that doesn't require a lot of minutes to produce inside scoring and rebounding. He sacrifices his body each play and he'll continue grabbing loose balls in the lane. |
7 | Nikola Jokic | DEN | 3 | When watching Jokic on offense, his post-play is cringe-worthy because he doesn't have many spin moves when he gets the ball in the post. He still does a great job pulling down double-digit rebounds. |
8 | Domantas Sabonis | IND | 3 | Sabonis has been a monster in the paint and he doesn't even need to use his long-range shooting to produce. The Pacers keep him right in the middle of the paint and he'll continue compiling points and boards. |
9 | Clint Capela | HOU | 3 | Capela continues to not have competition at the position in Houston and being Houston's main big man is an awesome job because of how much Harden stays on the arc. Capela remains the third scoring option. |
10 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 3 | Gobert will produce exclusively from the low-block and with Conley hurt, more plays should be called for him in the post and he'll make a big impact grabbing rebounds and blocking shots. |
11 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 3 | Seeing Vucevic get 29 minutes in his first game back from injury is very encouraging and it shows that the Magic won't limit Vucevic as long as he remains pain-free. He scored 20 points and grabbed 9 boards last game. |
12 | Steven Adams | OKC | 4 | Adams has slowly improved his play and he's starting to put up more stat-lines that we're used to seeing from that include a good amount of points and boards and Nerlens Noel won't threaten his minutes. |
13 | Jonas Valanciunas | MEM | 4 | Valanciunas doesn't have a lot of depth behind him, but he continues to show that less is more when it comes to his production. He doesn't even get 25 minutes per game, but he'll still grab 9.7 boards per game. |
14 | Davis Bertans | WSH | 4 | With Thomas Bryant and Wagner hurt, Bertans will continue to see more minutes and with his strong shooting from the arc, he'll be fed more and bigger defenders will have to go and cover him at the arc. |
15 | Bam Adebayo | MIA | 3 | Adebayo has had a breakout year and it's very difficult boxing him out of the lane. He's even compiled two triple-doubles in his last three games and he'll continue to get heavy run and he grabs 10.6 boards per game. |
16 | Aron Baynes | PHX | 4 | Baynes is in audition mode because when Ayton returns, he'll very likely be relegated to the bench. Baynes will still see minutes because of his defense and three-point shooting, but he'll see fewer minutes and shots. |
17 | Cody Zeller | CHA | 4 | Zeller has been moved to different parts of the court and the Hornets have been experimenting starting him alongside Bismack Biyombo. The problem with that is they're the same player with the same skill-set. |
18 | Marc Gasol | TOR | 4 | Gasol hasn't been that impactful when it comes to scoring and grabbing boards this season as we've seen him in previous seasons. The Raptors keep him at the arc a lot on offense. He does block 1.2 shots per game. |
19 | Brook Lopez | MIL | 4 | Lopez has been very helpful using his size to block 2.3 shots per game, but he still only grabs 5 boards per game. He takes a lot of outside shots from the arc. He hasn't even been scoring regularly in double-digits. |
20 | Jarrett Allen | BKN | 3 | Allen just snapped a 10-game streak of grabbing double-digit boards, but, he's still proven that he can split time with DeAndre Jordan and still produce at a high level. He has averaged a double-double this season. |
