With Gortat out for the season, the Sun will rise on a few unexpected Phoenix players who hope to provide increased value going forward.[/caption]
For those of you checking out my recommendations for the first time, I group the players in A,B,C,D Tiers. And, because many of us play at different sites I have generalized the cut-off price tag for each tier. Hey, one more thing, while your reading this you could be listening to the latest episode of the RotoInfo.com Basketball Breakdown Podcast here: iTunes or here: BTRA-All Star priced players that should put up All Star stats today (target 35+ FP).- PG Steph Curry- GSW vs HOU: Warriors are at home in what should be a high scoring affair as the Rockets are allowing the second most points allowed at about 104 pts/game.
- pg Russell Westbrook or SF Kevin Durant- OKC @CHA: If you want to spend the money you should surely be rewarded, I mean it is the bad, awful Bobcats after all.
- SG/SF Paul George- IND @ORL: The only fear here is that this game gets too out of hand, as did first game in the Pacers back-to-back versus the Pistons did and he only played 26 minutes.
- PF/C Joakim Noah-CHI vs UTA: Noah said his foot still bothers him, but it does not seem to be effecting his production much as he has double-digit rebounds in each of his last four games, has registered a double-double in three of his last four games, and has 24 blocks combined in his last five games.
- Cavs Kyrie Irving is out Friday
- Game time decisions: Wizards Bradley Beal, Grizzles Zach Randolph, Jazz Al Jefferson (looks like he may play though)
- PG Mike Conley -MEM @CLE: If Zach Randolph misses tonightâs game more of the scoring load will be placed on Conleyâs shoulders as it was in the last game where he went for 35 FP. Add in the fact he wonât be forced to guard one of the toughest point guards in the leage in Kyrie Irving who will be sitting out.
- SG/SF Manu Ginobili- SAS @POR: Manu has scored in double digits in each of his last two games, and with Tony Parker out he has become even more of a play maker combining for 27 assists in his last three games.
- C Serge Ibaka: OKC @CHA: Ibaka has scored 23 plus FP in each of his last six games and there should be plenty of rebound opportunities for him in this game, to go with the potential for another five block performance as he did in his last game versus the Knicks.
- C Mark Gasol- MEM @CLE: Gasol is a great fantasy option most games, but even more so if Zach Randolph is out again. Gasol scored 36 or more FP in three of his last four games.
- PG Jarret Jack -GSW vs HOU: After a handful of games where you got Jack from Jarret, he has now scored 29 and 19 FP respectively in each of his last two games while seeing 30 plus minutes a total could possibly see in tonightâs potentially high scoring home contest versus the Rockets.
- SF Trevor Ariza-WAS @BKN: Ariza has played 33 plus minutes in three of his last four games. On the season, Ariza is averaging 15 pts, six plus rebounds, and three plus assists when he plays 30 or more minutes. Check here: RotoInfo.com around 6:30pm to see if Bradley Beal is out, which would give an additional bump to Arizaâs value tonight.
- PF/C Jason Thompson-SAC @PHO: Phoenixâs line up is in flux with the lose of Marcin Gortat, and Thompson has seen his minutes increase in each of his last three games.
- SG Marco Belinelli and/or G Nate Robinson-CHI vs UTA: Kirk Hinrich is out again and Nate Robinson is a game time decision with sore ribs. Belinelli has logged 30 plus minutes in each of his last two games and if his last game is any indication (17 FGA) expect him to look for his shot.
- PF Markieff Morris and/or PF/C Luis Scola- PHO @SAC: With Gortat out for the season and Jermaine OâNeal out Scola will start at Center and Morris at the power forward position.
- PF/C Ed Davis-MEM vs POR: No Darrell Arthur and possible no Zach Randolph means extended PT for E.D.
