After going three for three yesterday, we look to run it back and cap off the weekend with a clean sweep of player props over at Underdog Fantasy. As we put yesterday’s win behind us and turn the page to today, our top MLB Underdog plays of the day feature Byron Buxton taking on the Kansas City Royals, and Freddie Freeman squaring off against the St. Louis Cardinals. Check out these free MLB player props and MLB daily picks on Underdog Fantasy for “Pick'Em” contests tonight. There are numerous games with weather concerns today, so perhaps today more than ever, it’s absolutely imperative to check out our MLB weather report and the confirmed MLB lineups prior to first pitch. Without further ado, here are my top MLB player props and best picks of the day on Underdog Fantasy for Sunday, April 30.

Byron Buxton OVER 8.5 Fantasy Points

Okay, let’s get the BvP data out of the way first, as Buxton is 5-for-11 with a home run in his career against Brady Singer. I don’t love that the wind is blowing in rather heavily today in Minnesota, but Buxton can work around that. Singer has had a rough start to the season, and Singer has displayed some reverse splits this season, as righties have slashed .333/.340/.604 against him. All six of Buxton’s home runs this year have come in his home park, five of which have come at home against a right-handed pitcher. Buxton has a .982 OPS at home this year and an .899 OPS against righties in 2023, and he’s seeing the ball well of late. Over his last nine games, while he may only be hitting .286, he has a .743 SLG and .456 wOBA to go along with his four home runs, four doubles, seven runs scored, and eight RBI. There are some teams that guys just love playing against, and over the past few years, Buxton has feasted on Royals pitching, to the tune of a .313 average with five home runs, nine doubles, 23 runs scored and 10 RBI over the last three seasons (24 games).

Freddie Freeman OVER 8.5 Fantasy Points

Freeman is hitting .310 with a .483 SLG over his last seven games, and during this stretch, he has one home run, two doubles, five runs scored, two RBI, and two stolen bases. He now gets a great matchup against Jake Woodford, a right-hander who has allowed a 5.47 ERA (6.85 FIP) this season, and a 2.55 HR/9. Furthermore, left-handed hitters have given him fits. In 2023, lefties are hitting .344 with a .574 SLG against him, and for his career as a whole, left-handed hitters have slashed .302/.347/.463. Freeman has an .829 OPS against righties this year, a .900 OPS at home in 2023, and when at home against a righty, he’s hitting .324 with an .824 OPS. Lefties against Woodford have been good to us this season and I expect Freeman to come to the dish with guys on base often, so let’s look to keep the good times rolling!
