Fantasy Baseball 2025 Two-Start Pitchers & Streaming Starters - Week 26
We have arrived at the final week of the regular season, and our final discussion of the Fantasy Baseball 2025 two-start pitchers that are available to plug into your rotations and hopefully lead you to a league championship. There are also a boatload of Fantasy Baseball 2025 streaming starters for you to pluck off the waiver wire in your league to pump up your team’s stats for that final run at league glory. Not so many SPs to avoid this final week, but still a small number of dual start hurlers it is recommended you not take a chance on this scoring period.
Please realize that these articles feature most recent rotation information available when the article is written, but that circumstances do change due to weather conditions, injuries and general craziness with managers. If a pitcher listed here as having two starts ends up with one (or perhaps none) in the upcoming week, apologies but this article is meant to provide analysis, it is up to the manager to set the lineups or rotations.

Â
| Â | Maybe Yes, Maybe No | Â |
| Starting Pitcher | 1st Start/Opponent/Date | 2nd Start/Opponent/Date |
| Cole Ragans KC | @ Jose Soriano LAA | @ Mason Barnett ATH |
| Â | Tue 9/23 9:38 PM EDT | Sun 9/28 3:05 PM EDT |
| Shane Smith CHW | @ Luis Gil NYY | @ Mitchell Parker WAS |
| Â | Tue 9/23 7:05 PM EDT | Sun 9/28 3:05 PM EDT |

| Michael McGreevy STL | @ Justin Verlander SF | @ Matthew Boyd CHC |
| Â | Mon 9/22 9:45 PM EDT | Sun 9/28 3:20 PM EDT |
| Merrill Kelly TEX | vs. Zebby Matthews MIN | @ Joey Cantillo CLE |
| Â | Tue 9/23 8:05 PM EDT | Sun 9/28 3:10 PM EDT |
Ragans was limited to just 62 pitches in his return to action for the Royals, holding the visiting Mariners to two earned runs (on a homer to Eugenio Suarez) while racking up four Ks over his limited 3.2 IP. He does have a pair of road contests on the schedule, but not terrible matchups by any stretch. He should be able to offer his high K potential in the last week of action this season, especially against the free-swinging Angel hitters.
Smith also looked less than impressive in his most recent time atop the bump, yielding six earned runs over just 4.1 IP to the visiting Baltimore squad. This after going at least five innings in each of his previous seven starts, where he racked up a superior 2.70 ERA and 0.90 WHIP over those 40.0 IP, where he went undefeated (three victories, four no-decisions). The rookie righthander has been averaging nearly a strikeout per frame this season, and had seven Ks against the Orioles in that disappointing September 16th loss.
Javier twirled a QS for a victory in his last outing, holding the visiting Rangers to just two earned runs on five hits and one free pass. It would be more promising if his final two starts of the season were at home, as opposed to on the opponents’ parks, but taking on a couple of division rivals that are playing sub-.500 ball in their home stadiums is a positive.Â
McGreevy, the second-year rookie righty, tossed a 7.0 IP shutout for his seventh win of the season, collecting his seventh QS also in that contest. His season ERA is hovering around 4.00 (4.08 to be precise over his 86.0 IP on the season thus far), mostly due to the occasional blow-up outing. He has great control as witnessed by his 1.8 BB/9 rate, but offers less that inspiring strikeout potential with a well-below average 5.5.K/9 rate. On the plus side, he has been a road warrior this year, and wraps up the campaign with a couple of road starts.
Kelly is yet another of the middle-tier SPs that struggled in his most recent time atop the hill, being touched for six earned runs over just 3.0 IP, taking the loss in Houston. He had been having a stellar run, tossing five QS and winning three of his six previous times scraping the slab for the Rangers. His first start at home against the severely sub-.500 Twins club (especially on the road) looks like the best time to use the veteran righty, as taking on the Guardians during their recent hot streak is dicey.

Not so many SPs to avoid plugging into your fantasy rotations this scoring period, but still some hurlers you would be best advised not to rely upon this final week of the fantasy season. The potential counting stat value they could provide is likely outweighed by the damage their ratios will wreak upon your team’s roto statistics.

Â
Potential Streaming Options for Week 26
There is no promise that each game day will provide a streaming option. First of all, the pitcher must be available in at least 50% of leagues to be a viable candidate to snag off the wire. Then, the pitchers discussed above are not included as they have a different sort of value, even though some might be available as free agents in your league. Plus, some days the matchups and/or venues just do not figure as positive enough factors to favor plugging the arm into your rotation, even for one start. That all being said, here are this week’s best Fantasy Baseball 2025 Streaming Starters candidates:
Â
Andrew Alvarez, Washington Nationals @ Atlanta Braves
The rookie southpaw tossed his best game of his short MLB career, going 6.0 IP while shutting out the visiting Pirates on three hits and one walk, while fanning five Pittsburgh hitters. He does have to go on the road to face the surging Braves here, so temper your expectations a tad.
Â
Tyler Wells, Baltimore Orioles vs Tampa Bay Rays
The righthander tossed his second consecutive QS, holding the host White Sox to just a single tally over 6.0 IP. He has allowed a dinger in each of his three outings since he was activated in September. While a negative regression could be in his future, given his stellar ratios in his three starts (2.04 ERA, 0.82 WHIP), he could hold off that development and finish this season strong, making him a streaming option in Week 26.
Â
Stephen Kolek, Kansas City Royals @ Los Angeles Angels
The second-year righthander was saddled with a loss to the Mariners, despite tossing 7.1 one run ball on Thursday. He will be hoping for similar results on his part when he faces the Angels in this outing, but better offensive output from his team, at least better than being shut out as they were by the Seattle hurlers. Good control with limited K potential, but he has been extremely effective when dealing from the bump away from KC, so the road start has potential as a good streaming opportunity.
Â
J.T. Ginn, Athletics vs Houston Astros
The second-year rookie righthander went 6.0 IP against a slumping host Boston team Thursday to pick up his fourth win of the season. He also was credited with his second QS, the first having occurred back at the end of July in Houston. He is an excellent source of strikeouts, with a 10.3 K/9 rate over his 86.2 IP this season to date.
Â
Brandon Sproat, New York Mets @ Chicago Cubs
Colin Rea, Chicago Cubs vs New York Mets
Our only game where both sides of the pitching ledger are worthy of your consideration as potential Fantasy Baseball Streaming Starters. The Mets rookie righty Sproat has burst out of the chute, tossing a pair of QS to start his MLB career. Coming off 6.0 IP of six hit shutout effort against the visiting Rangers, he does have a tough road matchup in this contest. He is the best streaming option you will find on Thursday, however, and both teams are looking to finish the season strong.
On the opposite side of the field is the veteran righty, who is coming off a spectacular 11 K effort where he did not hand on a free pass and only allowed four hits over 7.0 IP. Unfortunately, he was the victim of a tough luck loss to the host Reds. He should not be expected to produce double digit strikeouts in this outing, as his season production is below average in that facet of his game (7.0 K/9 through 153.2 IP), yet limited walks should be anticipated with his good control (2.5 BB/9). Flip a coin as to which SP to employ or hedge your bets and use them both.
Â
Â
Jason Alexander, Houston Astros @ Los Angeles Angels
The 32-year-old righthander continues to be a steady SP for the Astros, with his ERA now hovering just over 4.00 (4.04 after his last outing against the Rangers). Over his last nine games, he has posted an excellent 2.32 ERA and 1.05 WHIP (50.1 IP) while accumulating a 46:12 K/BB ratio. A road start plays to his home/road splits with a good matchup, as well.
Â
Michael Burrows, Pittsburgh Pirates @ Atlanta Braves
The rookie righty has rolled up a strong set of ratios over his last six appearances for the Pirates: 2.42 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over those 22.1 IP. The 25:6 K/BB ratio is impressive, too. His home/road splits do not discourage using him on the road against the Braves in this contest, so stream away.
Â
Yoendrys Gomez, Chicago White Sox @ Washington Nationals
In 33.2 IP since joining the Pale Hose rotation, the 25-year-old righty has been an acceptable rotation piece for both the team and his fantasy owners, rolling up a 4.01 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP with a useful 9.6 K/9 rate during that stretch of games. He will get a home start against the visiting Padres this weekend before heading to Nationals Park. You may want to take a gander at that pitching line before buying in on this streaming opportunity.
Â
Connelly Early, Boston Red Sox vs Detroit Tigers
In 10.1 IP over two starts, the rookie southpaw has allowed just a single earned run, to post a stellar 0.87 ERA. He is going to face the Rays on the road in Tampa before taking on the Tigers in his final start of the regular season. With a superior 18:1 K/BB rate on the stat sheet, he is an exciting streaming option here at the end of the regular season.
Â
Joey Cantillo, Cleveland Guardians vs Texas Rangers
Over the course of his last five trips to toe the rubber, the 25-year-old southpaw has produced a superior set of ratio stats: 1.21 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. His strikeout rate is below average, but not terrible. His team is streaking as the season winds down, making him a great end-of-the-year streaming choice.
