Our team of experts has poured over the matchups, stats, and trends to bring you a curated selection of top plays and value picks to help you build winning lineups.

Whether you’re chasing big GPP prizes or looking to cash in head-to-heads, we’ve got you covered with insights designed to give you an edge. Let’s dive into today’s slate and get ready to crush it!

This season's MLB DFS picks and playbook will consist of a pitcher and hitter core players section with written analysis, player pool grid and core stacks section.

The core player section should be used as a starting point for all lineups, you may not be able to use all players in the same lineup, but those players should be the building blocks for you on a given night.

The player pool grid will feature both players from the core player section along with additional plays to help you build a complete lineup. The grid will be broken into top priced players, mid-priced players and value tier players.

The stacks section will bring you are favorite lineups stacks for the day and which players we would look to include in those stacks based on matchups and pricing.

MLB DFS Picks & MLB Playbook

MLB Weather: Wednesday, 6/25

Atlanta Braves @ New York Mets

Small chance for a pop-up storm that could impact play.

New York Yankees @ Cincinnati Reds

Similar to New York in that a storm would need to pop up in just the right spot to impact play, but there is potential for some rain in the area and a delay is not out of the question.

Seattle Mariners @ Minnesota Twins

Most of the rain should be gone by first pitch. There is chance they will need a brief late start to let the clear. Should be good to go after that.

Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis Cardinals

Low chance of rain that could cause a delay, but they are likely to play fine.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Colorado Rockies

Rain should be gone by first pitch. Small chance a late start is needed, but otherwise should be fine.

Recommended MLB DFS Starting Pitchers

Let's get into today's core pitching plays for our DFS lineups

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Zack Wheeler, Philadelphia Phillies

Wheeler owns the highest strikeout rate on the slate at 32.9%, but he gets a low-strikeout opponent in the Astros. Houston lacks the power to do damage against right-handed pitching with a .133 ISO that ranks just 27th in the league. Wheeler should be able to have success deep into the game, with the strikeout upside being the only real question.

Logan Webb, San Francisco Giants

Webb gets a matchup against the Marlins, who are a below average offense. He has worked at least seven innings in three of his last four starts, including against the Dodgers and Padres. The Giants righty owns a career-best 27.9% strikeout rate this season and has maintained his elite groundball ability and control.

Max Fried, New York Yankees

Fried doesn't have the high strikeout rate of some of the other pitchers in this tier, but he does have the best strikeout matchup. He also has an elite groundball profile to limit damage in an elite home run park. The Reds have also been a below average power team against left-handed pitching despite playing their home games in that elite power park.

Joe Ryan, Minnesota Twins

Joe Ryan has a strikeout rate that matches the elite guys on the slate, but he also has extreme platoon splits with that strikeout rate. Ryan has an elite 35.1% strikeout to righties, but owns a below average 20.1% strikeout rate to lefties. The Mariners project to roll out five lefties in their lineup, so that actually leaves Ryan a tier below the top three pitchers for me today.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Los Angeles Dodgers

DK has priced Yamamoto at just $8,800 this slate, which makes him a very interesting GPP play despite the Coors Field start. On FD, he is just $400-$500 below Webb and Wheeler and more expensive than Fried, so we probably don't need to risk him in Coors over there. The Rockies have been a better offense of late, with a 105 wRC+ in June, but they still strike out a ton.

Edward Cabrera, Miami Marlins

Elite offense on this slate will likely leave us looking for savings where possible. For that reason, I prefer to go all the way down to Edward Cabrera rather than mess with mid-tier options like George Kirby and Matthew Boyd. Cabrera has a similar strikeout upside and faces an average Twins offense. The pitch count has been a concern at times and the 10% walk rate is not ideal, but the savings is especially useful on this slate.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

Let's check out today's core plays to build our lineups around.

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Los Angeles Dodgers in Coors Field

The Dodgers are the obvious top offense of the day as they continue their series in Coors Field. Rookie Chase Dollander takes the ball for the Rockies and he has been hit hard this season. Dollander has allowed a .216 ISO and 14.7% barrel rate, and he sports a strikeout rate below 20% with a nearly 10% walk rate. I believe the $7,400 DK price tag for Shohei Ohtani is the highest price tag we have ever seen for a hitter. The elite pitching on this slate is also a priority, but Ohtani is worth it where you can fit him in. The rest of the Dodgers are not cheap either, with Tommy Edman and Michael Conforto the only hitters in the projected lineup priced below $5,000 on DK. The price for Max Muncy stands out as the next priority for me after Ohtani. Every Dodger in the lineup is in play, it's just a matter of how many you can squeeze into a lineup without sacrificing too much at pitcher.

New York Yankees in Great American Ballpark

The Yankees are also in a great spot this evening as they take on Brady Singer in GABP with temperatures expected to be above 90 degrees. Singer owns a strikeout rate below 20% and is susceptible to lefty power, which the Yankees have a ton of. Aaron Judge is obviously fantastic and is always the top priority in the lineup, but I am equally as interested in the lefties. Ben Rice, Trent Grisham and Jazz Chisholm all own an ISO above .240 against right-handed pitching, while Cody Bellinger and Austin Wells are both above .180 ISO.

Chicago Cubs vs. Erick Fedde

The Cubs continue their series in a very hot and humid Busch Stadium this evening. A total of nine home runs have been hit in the first two games of the series, with the Cubs on the losing end of both. They get the better matchup today against the low strikeouts of Erick Fedde, who has been extremely lucky with a 5.8% HR/FB ratio thus far. A fly ball pitcher who does not generate strikeouts should be susceptible to the home run ball, and yet Fedde has allowed just 0.64 HR/9 this season. The Cubs have five hitters in the projected lineup (Kyle Tucker, Seiya Suzuki, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Michael Busch and Carson Kelly) with an ISO above .230 to right-handed pitching this season.

New York Mets vs. Didier Fuentes

Braves starter Didier Fuentes is a 20-year-old making his second career big league start. He allowed six hits and four runs to a below average Marlins offense in his debut, and he gets a tougher test against the Mets today. The Mets rank 4th in ISO and 5th in wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. Seven of the nine hitters in the projected lineup have an ISO above .200 against RH pitching. Among the elite options, Juan Soto has been on fire recently and Pete Alonso has been mashing righties all season. The weather is also ideal for hitting in New York today, with game-time temperatures expected to be above 90 degrees.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Colton Gordon

Astros lefty Colton Gordon has carried some extreme splits in his debut season, shutting down lefties and getting torched by righties. That does not mean you cannot play Kyle Schwarber and his ridiculous .412 ISO against lefties, but Gordon has allowed a .263 ISO and 11.6% barrel rate to righties. I like Trea Turner, Alec Bohm and Nick Castellanos just as much as the slugging lefty. Turner has posted the top ISO among the righties and adds stolen base upside, so he is a priority for me.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Michael Wacha

The Rays offense has taken off after a slow start to the season. In fact, they lead MLB in wOBA and wRC+ against right-handed pitching in the month of June. Kansas City is yet another spot where temperatures are expected to be above 90 degrees. Michael Wacha has done an excellent job limiting damage this season, but this is still a fly ball pitcher with a strikeout rate below 19% in a hot and humid environment. Junior Caminero and Brandon Lowe are the elite options, with Jonathan Aranda and Yandy Diaz not too far behind.
