The waiver period of Week 4 may be over but that does not mean you still can’t make moves to improve your roster before Thursday night’s game.  While many big names were likely claimed on Wednesday let’s take a look at some players who might still be floating around the waiver wire that you should grab.

Quarterback

Trevor Siemian, Den- Siemian did little to impress the fantasy world over the first two weeks of the season but then out of nowhere went and threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns against the Bengals in Week 3 which is what makes him a bit interesting heading into a Week 4.  The Broncos will face a poor Buccaneers defense in Week 4 that are currently allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.  Now I do not expect Siemian to repeat his Week 3 output against Tampa but I can easily see him throwing for a few scores before the Broncos start running out the clock.

Blaine Gabbert, SF- Gabbert has really had a tough schedule to start the season and while the 49ers offense is not anything special having to begin the year with games against the Rams and then road games against the Panthers and Seahawks is not going to do anybody any favors.  In Week 4 Gabbert finally finds himself with a favorable matchup against a Cowboys defense that is allowing the eighth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and just allowed Brian Hoyer to throw for 317 yards and two touchdowns.  If you need a bye week fill-in the potential for a solid game from Gabbert is there.

Sam Bradford, Min- Bradford had a mediocre game in Week 3 against the Panthers as he threw for just 171 yards and a score but he also did not turn the ball over and completed 64 percent of his passes which are both great indicators of success.  In Week 3 he will face off against a Giants defense that hasn’t played too bad this season but Bradford had some success against them last year as a member of the Eagles and will be at home which makes him a decent waiver wire grab if you are looking for QB help.

Running Back

Cameron Artis-Payne, Car- CAP went from being inactive in Week 2 to being the Panthers starting running back in Week 3 against a tough Vikings front and did fairly well given the circumstances, carrying the ball 12 times for 47 yards while adding one catch for 11 yards.  In Week 3 CAP figures to again be the Panthers starting back only this time it is against a Falcons defense that has allowed the second most points to opposing running backs.  He is still going to share some carries with Fozzy Whittaker but seeing as he is the lead back he is worth grabbing.

Terrance West, Bal-West has been averaging nearly 10 carries a game this season and while his yardage totals are not overly impressive he has outplayed Justin Forsett which should eventually lead to additional touches.  In Week 3 the Ravens face a Raiders defense that has allowed the seventh most fantasy points to opposing running backs and West should have little issue reaching his projections.

Orleans Darkwa, NYG-With Shane Vereen out and Rashad Jennings questionable for Week 4 the Giants figure to start Darkwa at running back against the Vikings.  Darkwa carried the ball 10 times for 53 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 and while the Vikings have a stout front seven he should see enough volume to be fantasy relevant this week.

Wide Receiver

Steve Smith Sr., Bal– Smith turned in his best game of the season in Week 3, catching 8-of-11 passes for 87 yards and finally looking like the player he was pre-injury.  In Week 4 the Ravens face off against a Raiders defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season and last year Smith torched them for 150 yards on 10 catches.  Smith figures to be Joe Flacco’s top receiver target outside of Dennis Pitta and would make for a great add right now because if he is in fact 100 percent healthy he has the ability to put up some WR1 type numbers.

Cole Beasley, Dal–Beasley continues to see a ton of targets from Dak Prescott and with Dez Bryant questionable to play in Week 4 Beasley should be heavily involved in the passing attack.  In Week 3 Beasley caught all seven of his targets for 73 yards and is averaging nearly seven catches for 70 yards through three weeks this season.  In Week 4 the Cowboys travel west to face the 49ers who have been a middling defense against the pass this season so the value is certainly there.

Jamison Crowder, Wsh– Crowder has really come on this season, averaging five catches on eight targets for nearly 60 yards.  He has also found the end zone in each of the past two weeks which has only added to his fantasy value.  In PPR formats Crowder is a must add against a Browns defense that is allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing receivers.

Tight End

Zach Miller, Chi– Miller was targeted nine times against the Cowboys in Week 3 and has caught 15-of-18 targets so far this season. Whether it is Cutler or Hoyer at quarterback it seems as though Miller is going to get his looks and he will be going up against a Lions defense that is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season which should add to his upside as a bye week fill-in.

Jack Doyle, Ind – Doyle caught all six targets in Week 3 for 65 yards against the Chargers and has seemingly taken over as the Colts No.1 tight end option.  Through three weeks he has caught 13-for-15 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns.  The Colts play the early London game against the Jaguars in Week 4 which could present a tough match-up but Andrew Luck is targeting Doyle and he is somebody worth grabbing given how shallow tight end is.
