Ray Flowers takes a look at the state of the Fantasy Alarm website and lays out a series of links to a bunch of fine articles written by the staff over the last month.

I’ve been sick the past few days, apparently traveling to Arizona to participate in LABR led to a severe case of cooties, but I’m back in the saddle Friday (sort of at least). As you’ve all realized our team of dedicated professionals has just debuted a new look at the Fantasy Alarm website. It’s killer. Things are streamlined, and the look is sharp. We hope you like it (how could you not?). As you pick up the new setup, I thought today might be a good time to put together an article filled with links to a bunch of articles on the site that you may or may not have seen. We’ve got some really good stuff in case you’ve missed it.

RAY FLOWERS ARTICLES

I write Player Profiles on a daily basis. You might have heard of them? If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? I write up players, usually about 1,500 words worth of data each, breaking down their skills/talents before giving my opinion on the player’s value in 10, 12, 15 team mixed leagues as well as league specific setups.

I do a series of videos on a daily basis (LINK). That’s right, Mr. Radio is turning into Mr. Video. This week I’ve been breaking down third basemen.

One of the reasons that folks have issues with their roster each season is that they expect too much from the players they draft. In "The Expectation Game" (LINK) I wrote about setting your expectations at the right level to avoid being disappointed.

At this time of year everyone wants to talk projections. I don’t. Why? Am I too lazy to produce them? Too busy drinking vodka and Red Bull while dancing at the local bar? Nah, that’s not it (maybe). I just don’t believe in projections. Why? In order to answer that question I wrote two articles – "Why Fantasy Baseball Projections Stink" (LINK) and "PART II" (LINK).

Yahoo! seems to include everyone, at every position, on the field. In "Valuing Machado As a Shortstop" (LINK) I wrote about how things change for Manny Machado if he qualifies at shortstop.

The Rockies are moving in the fences at Coors Field. As I wrote in "Coors Fences Moving In" (LINK) I don’t think you should be too worried about offensive performance, even with this news.

If you want more info about mock drafting you can take a look at the 12-team mixed league draft I participated in with the folks from MLB.com (LINK). There’s also a write-up about the BARF Draft (LINK). I didn’t throw up at the draft, that’s not what I meant when I wrote the article. We named the league, in its inaugural season BARF for the Bay Area Roto Fantasy Draft.

Have you picked up your copy of the 2016 MLB Draft Guide (LINK)? The Guide includes more than 600 Players Ranked, auction values, rookie reports, hitting and pitching targets as well as all the info you need if you’re ready to start playing DFS.
