We still have MNF to go before we put a capper on Week 7 of the NFL season, but here's a look at some of the players that excelled and those that might have been better off watching Game 6 of the NLCS pitting the Giants against the Cardinals.Stars of the DayDrew Brees: Threw for like 745 yards in the first half. Somehow when the game was over he had thrown for only 377 yards and four scores. That's still 2-straight with 370-4.Dallas Clark: He caught five balls for 51 yards an a score. Might be the last time he scores 15+ points in a game.Josh Freeman: 420 yards and three scores. That will play.Rashaad Jennings: With MJD out early with a leg issue, Jennings did what we all knew he could if given a chance â have success. He only had 44 yards on the ground but he scored and also caught seven passes for 58 yards.Chris Johnson: Maybe now you will believe me? Johnson ran for 195 yards and two scores and has averaged 113 yards a game over his past four contests. Did you give up on him?Aaron Rodgers: Threw for three scores and 342 yards giving him nine touchdown passes and 680 yards passing the past two weeks. Remember when he was âstrugglingâ three weeks ago?Randall Cobb: The ânewâ Percy Harvin, Cobb gets open, catches passes (eight), and is electric with the ball in his hands (89 yards and two scores). Period.Dustin Keller: It only took until Week 7 for him to have a fantasy relevant day (injuries are of course the main reason). Keller caught seven balls for 93 yards an a score.Vincent Jackson: His calf issue precluded him from a touchdown (he was caught inside the five from behind), but that is the only negative on a day that saw him go off for six receptions, 216 yards and one score. He's scored four times his last three games.Andre Roberts: After catching seven balls for 58 yards in his last two games Roberts went out and caught seven passes for 103 yards an a score as the Vikes concerned themselves with shutting down Larry Fitzgerald (four catches, 29 yards).LaRod Stephens-Howling: You just missed the best game of his career, and one he is never likely to repeat (104 yards rushing, one score, four catches for 45 yards).Flops of the DayJustin Blackmon: One catch, seven yards. Tough to blame the rookie in that offense with the backup QB throwing passes (Chad Henne), but goodness.Dez Bryant: Was supposed to be healthy. He wasn't. After 28 targets the last two weeks he caught two balls for 14 yards. Massively disappointing.Andy Dalton: I kept telling you to be nervous. The Steelers shut him down completely as he threw for 105 yards, and that's not a misprint.Vernon Davis: Any time that Davis plays a game and doesn't have a catch is an embarrassment to the Niners organization. Totally unacceptable Mr. Smith and Mr. Harbaugh.Brandon Lloyd: A total afterthought with one catch for six yards. Guess he wasn't 100 percent physically after all. One score in seven games, but still on pace for 80 receptions.Christian Ponder: The Vikings set back football about 70 years with their passing effort in Week 7 as Ponder completed eight of 17 passes for 58 yards and two interceptions. You guys do know this is a passing league now, right?William Powell: With âHyphenâ killing it Powell pulled up the caboose with 13 yards on four carries.Trent Richardson: His ribs were supposed to be alright. They weren't. Touched the ball 10 times for 19 yards before calling it a day. Flipping great.Kyle Rudolph: Zero catches. Zero. Really. None. Zero.Tim Tebow: The Jets keep saying that Tebow's role is going to grow. I mean they literally are telling everyone each week that is what is going to happen. Shame on you Jets. You are liars. What do you want me to say? Tebow saw the field for four snaps in Week 7. Adding Tebow never made sense for the Jets, and with each passing week that decision is even less tenable than the week before.DeAngelo Williams: Two carries for four yards in Week 7 give him eight carries for 10 yards his last two games. The guy averages 5.0 YPC for his career and is sitting at 3.5 on 50 totes this season.Ray Flowers can be heard daily on Sirius/XM Radio on The Fantasy Drive on Sirius 210 and XM 87, Monday through Thursday at 7 PM EDT and Friday's at 9 PM EDT.
