David Fletcher, Los Angeles Angels - 2B ($3.9K on DK); 2B/SS ($2.9K on FD)

Perhaps the quietest 25-game hitting streak in recent history, Fletcher's racked up 46 hits his last 104 at-bats within it carrying a .447/.462/.602 slash line while scoring 21 runs. This does not move the excitement meter, however, at his price point the solid floor with potential upside should not be overlooked. He's also hitting .360 this year against southpaws with an on-base rate over 40 percent and owns a .333 batting average (4-for-12) versus Yusei Kikuchi over their careers.

Albert Pujols, Los Angeles Dodgers - 1B ($3.4K on DK, $2.9K on FD)

Identifying cheap bats in Coors comes in handy on any slate and tonight, Pujols may be worth the risk. Since joining his new team he owns a robust .333 isolated power versus left-handed pitching with a 1.074 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) and a 188 weighted runs created plus (wRC+) metric. He's also 2-for-5 in career match-ups with Kyle Freeland with a double and Los Angeles leads the league in five-run innings, could another be on tap this evening?

DraftKings Only

Jarren Duran, Boston - OF ($2K)

Projected to hit seventh, and debuting against Gerrit Cole makes this tough sledding but Duran arrives in the majors with on-base pedigree (career .374 on-base percentage in the minors) and burgeoning power upside. He launched 15 home runs across 189 Triple-A at-bats prior to his promotion and may make use of the short porch in the Bronx. If not, he may steal a base (12 in 46 games at Triple-A) making him a dual threat on tonight's slate at minimum price.

Harrison Bader, St. Louis - OF ($2.9K)

Over the last two weeks Bader's hitting .345/.406/.517 with a home run and two stolen bases in 32 plate appearances. He's also familiar with tonight's opposing pitcher, Anthony DeSclafani going 5-for-10 in previous match-ups with a double among them. Not a huge ceiling but for those searching for a lower priced bat in cash games could do worse.

Orlando Arcia, Atlanta - 3B/OF ($3.2K)

Again, bargains on DraftKings will be tough to roster, but Arcia provides multiple eligibility and some relief during a build. It's a very small sample, but he's 3-for-4 against left-handed pitching with Atlanta including a double and three RBI. He's in the midst of a six-game hit streak and faces a pitcher with a swinging strike percentage less than 10 percent and a Z-Contact rate approaching 90 percent.

FanDuel Only

Darin Ruf, San Francisco - OF ($2.9K)

Priced at almost $5K on DraftKings, Ruf's well worth the gamble on FanDuel despite the recent hot stretch by southpaw Kwang-hyun Kim. Facing left-handed pitching this year, Ruf owns five home runs with 24 runs plus RBI and more walks (13) than strikeouts (11) fueling a .385 isolated power along with a 1.174 OPS. He's also hot of late with three home runs his last 24 plate appearances with a .389/.542/1.000 slash line his last eight games with a .611 isolated power, .652 weighted on-base average (wOBA) and a 60 percent hard hit rate.

Wander Franco, Tampa Bay - SS ($2.5K)

Honestly, the shortstop on either side of this contest can be used in DFS, but due to the reduced price on the talented rookie, he gets the nod. Franco's produced nine hits in 29 plate appearances against southpaws in the majors with five extra-base hits (two doubles, a triple, two home runs) with a .370 isolated power and 1.083 OPS in them. Ball was carrying well at Truist Park last night and may once again this evening.

Charlie Blackmon, Colorado - OF ($3.3K)

Noting the "Coors” tax which exists in DFS, getting the venerable veteran at this price point makes sense. Especially given his career success versus Walker Buehler with 15 hits in 39 at-bats including four doubles, a triple and two home runs. His .375 expected batting average and .574 expected slugging due to the quality of contact in these match-ups suggest Blackmon makes for a nice cash game staple on a slippery slate loaded with weather headaches.
