Kwang Hyun Kim, SP STL (FD - $6,900 / DK - $5,700)
What’s the deal here? The wind is blowing in at Wrigley and Kim has pitched extremely well lately. He’s allowed one earned run or fewer in four of his last five starts and has put up 19+ DKP in each of his last two outings. He has a 3.47 ERA on the year and what about the Cubs offense really scares us? Over the last month, they’re 28th in both OPS and wOBA and they strike out more than anyone else in baseball. It’s not that I see Kim going out there and striking out 10 -- it’s the complete opposite. The Cubs just haven't done anything offensively to make me worry about them. All in on Kim.
A.J. Pollock, OF LAD (FD - $2,500 / DK - $3,500)
Someone’s starting to round into form! Pollock has now homered in two straight games and has homered in four of his last eight. Pollock has been someone who fares well against left-handed pitching throughout his whole career and this year has been no different posting a .348 wOBA against them. Eight of the nine homers Caleb Smith has allowed this year have been to right-handers and he has a pretty bad looking 4.88 xFIP against RHH too.
David Fletcher, 2B/SS LAA (FD - $2,600 / DK - $2,800)
This will be the third time I’ve typed out David Fletcher’s name and yet it’s still mind-boggling that he’s riding a 22-game hitting streak. 22 games! David Fletcher! He’s still this free, too. He’s had four straight multi-hit games and has put up 20 DKP in two of three. Righties have had a lot of success against Chris Flexen this year as they’ve hit .284 with a .770 OPS and .334 wOBA to boot. Keep riding the wave, especially at this price.
DraftKings
Luke Voit, 1B NYY ($3,700)
The Yankees first baseman has shown some signs of life lately, hitting in four of five games and batting .289 over his last 10 overall. Zack Greinke has struggled much more with right-handed hitters as he’s allowed 11 HR and a .444 SLG% to them this year. Greinke has been horrible in Houston this year, pitching to a 5.26 ERA and a .353 wOBA. Voit led baseball in home runs last year and it’s only a matter of time before he starts unleashing them on opposing pitching.
Michael Brantley, OF HOU ($3,600)
This is not the same old Gerrit Cole we’re used to seeing. This is a vulnerable version of the highest-paid pitcher in baseball history. Brantley is a great hitter and despite his recent struggles, he shouldn’t be priced this low. Over the last month overall, Brantley has hit .354 with a .923 OPS with 15 R, 15 RBI and 11 XBH. Brantley has been great against right-handed pitching this year hitting .365 with a .408 wOBA.
FanDuel
Willy Adames, SS MIL ($2,700)
This price point just doesn’t make sense. Adames has been great as a Brewer and just over his last 10 games, Adames has slashed .361/.465/.722 with seven XBH. Adames has a very strong .356 wOBA against right-handed pitching this year. Righties have given Vladimir Guiterrez as they have a .820 OPS and .349 wOBA to boot. Adames and the Brewers are quite sneaky on FanDuel this Saturday's main slate.
J.P. Crawford, SS SEA ($2,500)
I always have Crawford here, but like, he’s been incredible in the recent months. He hit .352 in June and although he hasn’t started this month off that hot, he’s still hit .284 over the last 30 days. Crawford has loved facing southpaws, despite the fact that he’s a LHH, he’s hitting .325 with a .359 wOBA as well. He’s a solid GPP option.
